None of that smashburger crap here, I got a thick patty brimming with flavor and still pink in the middle. Rippled cut potato chips sprinkled with old bay are the side. I couldn't stop eating them. Husband ordered a burger with a nice fluffy toasted bun, pepperjack cheese and fries, included lettuce, tomato and pickles. Solid. Medium rare by request also perfect. What more could you want? Came here for some late night food and late night exploring! I am a big fried pickle connoisseur and I thoroughly enjoyed the pickles. It has a thicker slightly sweet batter, the batter stayed on and the pickles were crispy. The pickle shot had a sting to it, but it was not the worst! For thursday night, we had 3 dollar domestic beers which was a great deal! Pickles, service and beer deal is the only reason i'd give 2 stars. Downside is the bathroom, i've never seen a dive bar bathroom this bad. It is disgusting with fecal matter smeared around the wall, lack of toilet paper, dirty floors and just a lack of overall cleanliness. Stopped into pickles during the off season for happy hour on a Tuesday. Their happy hour deals are pretty good but the menu is limited. I like this Pickles because it's close to the boardwalk and it's very spacious inside. There's an outdoor patio, tons of seating, pool and other games, and a stage for bands/live music. The bartender was attentive and the food came out hot. My boyfriend liked the shrimp and the serving of fries was massive. You only get 3 mozz sticks with your order but they're pretty large sticks. I've never been here, but drove past it so many times. After listening to a podcast of a bartender that worked there years ago, we decided to finally check it out. Fun atmosphere, pub food, and some beers. The steamed shrimp were better than most places we used to go to. PB&J wings tasted great and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich on a waffle was quite good. Easy parking and a place we'd return to. Probably not every year, but on nights we want just pub-like food, we'd be back. Maybe even just for an early drink and the steamed shrimp. Stopped for dinner this week and the whole experience was ruined by the rude guy who demanded ID when we walked in (that's a first, we are not 2O year olds who are trying to drink your overpriced swill).
