    Smoked Wings

The location on the boardwalk caught my eye, so I decided to dive into the smoked wings. They weren't bad; I just wish they had asked for them to be fried hard.

Important Details (entrees between 12-20$) GOOD: Food and value for it which is rare on this boardwalk which will take you to the cleaners. The service was also very good. Nice beach view too. BAD: Seating is a bit cramped and tight (if you're a bigger person) It gets busy quick, but it is a credit to the quality-value combo offered Bull on the Beach was an excellent experience. It is one of the few board walk restaurants that won't stab you with jacked prices and provides tasty quality too. The wings special (10$ for 8) rocks - and tasty too. My "Humpy Dumpty" sandwich (tender pit beef and eggs) was also excellent. Give BOTB a try. It's a major boardwalk standout.

Looking for some Raw Bar food we found this location. The look of this spot was awesome. Beer cans and license plates all over. We ordered chilled shrimp and clams originally. The claims were rubbery and horrible. Def frozen. We returned these and got 12 oysters. The oysters were damn good! Some of the best. Shrimp was your standard shrimp. Cocktail sauce was nice. Service was understanding we weren't happy with the meal. I would come for the oysters. I never had the meat so I have to give it a try next time.

Don't even hesitate, just go! After a long day on the beach, we stopped by for dinner. The place was pretty busy and service was spotty but the food definitely made up for it. We waited a hot minute to be greeted but food didn't take long to come out! Everything ordered was fresh and hot

This place had great service and require masks when not eating. The service was amazing the the food was good! The restaurant was overlooking the boardwalk and was partially open to let in fresh air. I had the shrimp kebabs with a side salad (not pictured). The shrimp were a really great size and were grilled just right. One of our guests had a crabcake sandwich and fries and a plate of oysters for the table. They really enjoyed their food too.

    Fresh shucked yummy oysters

Food and service are top priority here so go in the evening and get this all from Ella and Kevin at the back bar for a great dinner experience. We go here at least 3 times every trip and this year even the hubby got the breakfast sandwich with brisket for under 6 dollars at the to go window service in the morning and raved about it. Also learned this trip that the best baked beans along with breakfast here on top of the pit beef sandwiches and oysters that we already love. We saw another guy eating a Rueben and will definitely try that next. Quick service, delicious food and great drink choices as well. The Bull Punch and the spicy margarita on the rocks w salt are our favorites. Don't miss out on this convenient and well worth the money with good size portions location on the boardwalk. All 10 of us ate here some at high tops in the back and some at the bar and it was an all around favorite that we return to every year.

Great food right on the boardwalk. Stayed in Ocean City for one night and after spending the day walking up and down the boardwalk looking at the kites from the Kite Festival, my feet were tired. I was excited that the Bull on the Beach was so close to my hotel. For an off season day, there were a lot of people. I took this as a good sign. I ordered the Pitt Beef and a side of corn bread. I added melted cheddar cheese with a side of horseradish. Very good! The house made chips were also good! Wait staff was attentive and food was delivered very quickly. Loved the license plates all over the walls and hostess stand. As a side note, I noticed that all of the staff was helping each out. It looks like a nice place to work.

Vacationing in Ocean City and Bull on the Beach was recommended by a friend, and after seeing the reviews, figured we would give it a shot. Check in was a breeze and after seeing they offered outside seating, was able to score a table along the boardwalk outisde. Our server Riley stopped by as soon as we sat down and was quick to bring our drinks, which included a cold beer. From the beginning until the very end, Riley did a great job. When dining out, I am always happy to bring my daughter, who is a vegetarian, along and she ordered the Taco Salad (Greens, Onions, Tomatoes, Olives, Cheese, Crumbled Tortillas & Roasted Corn) at first I thought I was dining solo but was happy she found this. I ordered the Beef Brisket Sandwich (14 Hour Charcoal Smoked Brisket. - Sandwich Included choice of ONE Side: French Fries, Potato Salad, Coleslaw or Baked Beans ) I went with the fries and added some coleslaw. The food came out quick and I must admit, it was very tasty. Added to good food was the cold beer and the outside dinning experience which only made it better. And of course, having vegertain options to allow my daughter to join me was also an additional bonus. Definitely will put this place on my must return list whenever I find myself back in Ocean City.

A few important things I learned working there and many other restaurants were having "a sense of urgency", full hands in and out, and consolidating your movements. Simply put - being efficient and thoughtful so you can serve your customers without looking like a chicken with your head cut off. The employees at 124th & Coastal Hwy Grotto location do not know any of these concepts. We sat at the bar. There were 3 tables of diners around the bar. 4 people kept coming behind the bar to make alcoholic and n/a drinks. It wasn't clear who was manning the bar. It took over 5 minutes for one of the 4 people walking around the bar to say he'd be with us in a moment. There two other couples at the bar. It was not busy for a Sat. The person who waited on us was nice enough; there was just no interest in serving customers in a timely manner. Employees were standing around and not bussing used dishes/glasses. Tables left and sat dirty for over 30 minutes. People waited for refills, needed to request plates, napkins, and silverware, waited for take out containers and their bill. Everything except the food was slow. As we were wrapping up dinner, two guys from the outdoor seating came in and said this was the slowest Grotto they had ever been to and that everything was so slow paced. One of the girls flitting around the bar and bar high tops told them they were understaffed. I wanted to speak up and agree with them, but it wasn't worth it. This place could make way more money if they would get their act together.

I ordered a drink and pondered the menu while watching what my neighbors ordered. The tacos were indeed on corn tortillas (by request according to our server on our second visit). The shrimp boil looked excellent although the couple next to me preferred the aguachile version. We missed happy hour both times, which was disappointing because I paid $12 for the same sangria that is half that price before five pm. No worries, it was delicious either way. The sangria came half full in an extra large glass because they were out of normal glasses. It's garnished with a sprig of rosemary and an orange wedge. I settled on the Blitzkreig Bibimbap bowl, a fabulous creation with a perfect steak over basmati rice garnished with avocado, seaweed salad, kimchee and a fried egg with spicy sauce. WOW I loved this dish. Tried to recreate it at a mongolian bbq later and missed by a mile. Shotti's Point has a varied menu and seems to do a stellar job on ALL OF IT. Ordered a Old Pro Chicken wrap for husband to go, he was back at the vacation rental while my exercise walk ended up at the bar. He had to eat it twice to finish the wrap so it was large, but alas I did not secure a photo. He saved his side (a literal bag of doritos). They got the "avocado on the side" part correct and left the chili sauce on the side too. He thought the shaved egg was an odd addition to this wrap but otherwise it was good. On a second visit together, he ordered a pepperoni mushroom pizza while I had the El Guapo tacos. No drinks, as we had been to Seacrets that day for a distillery tour and needed to hydrate! The pizza was a beautiful creation, lightly charred crust and hunks of fresh burrata dotted with curled up pepperoni cups. The tacos were delicious, but it was not the blackened chicken that made my nose run it was the bangkok chili sauce! Topped with a bit of lettuce and cabbage, the chicken seemed a little dry. Requested and received a side of the most delicious salsa, so then I was very happy. The corn tortillas were dry, could have used more time on the griddle with a little oil. They lost structural integrity long before being fully consumed. This was a quick visit at the bar for our meals since there were two seats immediately available. The place was packed at 7pm on a Thursday, a testament to the quality of their food. It was loud and fun, but we ate and ran (with no argument from our bartender). I did enjoy sitting by the pizza prep station and watching the artists at work. Smile.
