Checking on their patrons has certainly gotten worse over the years, but Gavin was great! This may be the original but I don't think they're even trying to impress anyone anymore. Shame on us for ordering quesadillas and tacos? No! Shame on them for putting them on the menu. It's like someone told them one day that tex-mex was popular but never told them what that meant. They had no salsa for the quesadillas and apparently they never have salsa. Came because they were one of the sponsors for my daughter's hockey Beach bash across the street (yay). It was a convenient walk over and we didn't have to give up our (awesome) parking spot. Service was great. We found a spot even with a large group of children. We learned there's an arcade upstairs. There were plenty of screens to entertain the kids and then they were able to play upstairs with just a few dollars. The kids meal options were varied and comprehensive. My favorite restaurant and I finally got a chance to go to the OGT! Not that big of a spot compared to all the other ones I have been to. I can see it filling up very easily especially during big game days or during vacation season My order was the suns out buns out sandwich. Bacon cheeseburger with fried egg and brioche bun but the bun is flipped inside out. It was different for me but still very good. Came with a bag of chips. Not sure when they started that. My companion had the fish and chips. This (warm) "salad" exceeded my expectations, with its roasted brussel sprouts, chopped bacon, crumbled goat cheese, pepitas, and basalmic glaze. This bar was within walking distance to my hotel and many other hotels in the area but because it's too cold outside, we decided to drive there. It was a nice, comfortable, low-lit sports bar. We sat at the bar and it wasn't very crowded inside. We came around 9pm on a Wednesday night and had a few drinks and dinner. I got the crab cakes with sweet potato fries plus a side salad and my other half had the chicken wings. The food was great! I didn't realize the price of the crab cakes was in the 30s but I think it was worth it. The bar tender was nice and took care of us quickly, checking in every 10mins or so. I was quite pleased with this Green Turtle! Staff was friendly and helpful and the burgers we had were very solid. They can actually cook them medium rare!! Inside was very busy, there wasn't any blank space on the wall that wasn't taken up by a sign or a TV. Their prices were fair, considering the rest of Ocean City prices. My only 2 complaints would be a leaking ceiling to the table next to us. We watched a server bring a place of food over and stand right under the drip where it was dripping on people's food. They only had a bucket catching the water, seemed like they didn't really care about the leak and just watched a quick fix. Also, if you want fries with your burger, too bad, you get a bag of chips. Was unsure which crab dip to get and our server George recommended the Imperial Crab dip...for $23 you get about 3 small scoops of mediocre crab dip. The Original Green Turtle (established 1976) was the ambiance (typical eclectic decor, huge tv's, sports memorabilia, etc.), service (shout out to Gavin), the Nutz and Berriez specialty shot and the friends I went with. All of our food came out overdone/near burnt and just not very appetizing at all. We had a huge spread of bar food: pigs in the blanket, parmesan/garlic wings, chicken tenders, onion rings, french fries, bbq wings, cheesesteak egg rolls, and old bay wings.
