To put a song in, go up to the DJ window on the right side of the stage. Fill out a small paper with your name, song title and artist name and hand it to the DJ. It is an age 21+ bar where they will check IDs at the door. Casual ambiance. Some drinks can be pricey but it pays for the entertainment. Locals and tourists of all ages go here. The "karaoke" sucks.... they basically only let regulars perform more than once. Especially Jeff DJ... my friend waited FOREVER and definitely had their song pushed back and she only performed once. There was one guy who performed FOUR times in the time we were there, obvi a regular. Bartenders were good, DJ sucked. Karaoke needs to move a bit faster and more fairly. read more

I gave the bartender $100 for a $15 check and he gave me back $35. Asked again to fix this and he gave me $65. Had to ask the other bartender who I'd had been dealing with the previous interactions to give me my proper change of $85. He's a small man with a weak mustache. Bouncers are incompetent, took my REAL ID and bent it in half and raised concern over the lamination after the fact. I was then denied access after offering further verification with my passport (kept on hand for situations like this). To add insult to injury, 3 women were allowed access immediately after without their ID's being checked despite being evidently underage. Poorly ran club, absolutely unacceptable. i was not impressed with the Karaoke DJ of 5 July, he waited 5 minutes before the start of karaoke to give out instructions for an app to download. i downloaded created an account and helped my aunt and uncle pick out songs. The DJ was asked to fix one of the names but kept ignoring the request; he put my aunt and uncle's names way down whatever list the app or he created. The DJ was rude and told my uncle he wasn't going to let him sing and said "get the f--k out of here" my uncle spoke to the manager who was also rude. My uncle had a karaoke business for 30 years and respect of the customers was what brought people back. We will not go here again. read more

Then proceeded to not give it back to me after proving it was real and told me to call the cops. The cops have better things to worry about. This place was fine since there aren't any other karaoke bars in Ocean City, but it was disappointing. Watching other people sing was fun but the guy hosting was not doing it fairly at all. You put in your name to request a song and he 1) didn't call our name for over an hour meanwhile the same few people seemed to get up over and over again and even the host decided to sing a song when he called someone's name who had left instead of skipping to the next person. 2) when the host finally did call our name, he played his own song and not the song we picked! What was the point of having us choose a song if you wouldn't let us actually sing it? Overall we had fun but we're disappointed we didn't get to sing more. We were there 2.5 hours and only got to do two songs. As far as drinks, they are nothing special and the beer selection is poor. read more

I had so much fun here last year when I was 22. I have the same ID as I did last year. I'm from out of state and have a vertical ID from Pennsylvania. When me and my aunt got there, and I handed them my ID, the bouncer told me he couldn't accept my ID because it was vertical. I understand that some places don't accept them, BUT there is no sign or post on their facebook stating this rule (they don't have a website, we checked). Reading these low rated reviews makes me think that no one knows how to have a good time anymore. The Karaoke DJ puts on a true performance as the host. He's like a hilarious Sebastian Bach and always keeps the room entertained. We've been coming here for over 12 years and I truly believe it's the best entertainment in OC. The bouncer thought my id was fake (I understand it was senior week) but im 24. he got in my face asking where my id was from & was telling me to call to cops for them to check my id. when I pulled my phone out to call 911 he finally gave it back. mind you he's been in my face yelling at me. when I walked out he opened the door and said he knew it was fake cause I left and "I got away this time". So we got to the venue at 8 PM, waited 1-1/2 hours for KJ to arrive, we were the first to arrive. Than a young guy arrives hands us a lamated page to log on, my phone and wife's phone batteries low, so we logged on with our niece's phone. He calls up wife about 40 min later after 7 or 8 singers. He calls her by her niece's name even after she told him her name. He never calls me up, so after 20 singers I approach him, ask why I never got called, apparently I wasn't on his list, I said I'm going to talk to the manager. He than said "you're never going to sing here but I'll still be here. He tried to say that's how karaoke is done, I told him I was in the business for 30 yrs, it was unethical to treat customers that way. Worst bar I've ever been too. The bouncer bent my boyfriend's id in half , said it was fake and told him to "get the fuck out." Such a joke because we had just celebrated his 23rd birthday the day before. The bouncer refused to give us his ID back until they could call the cops to confirm it was real. We waited around just for them to tell us we had to call the cops instead. So we did and finally got the ID back which the cops confirmed was real and they still turned down our group of 8. We usually go to other bars but decided it would be fun to try out the sandbar, I was let in immediately with no questions asked, when my boyfriend gave his ID to the bouncer he was told in an aggressive manner that his ID was fake and to "get the fuck of the property." My boyfriend is 24 and has a Maryland ID. It wasn't until he told the bouncer to call the police that he gave it back.
