This location is pretty horrible in comparison to other locations. The parking lot is so small and so is the restaurant itself. It gets crowded fast and the wait for the food is ridiculous! I had to wait 35 minutes for two single meals! The only reason why I didn't give this review one star is because the food was good. Disappointed in our to-go order. I love their blue cheese sauce instead of the ranch. My husband came home with our food to find no blue cheese, receipt clearly showed the correct order. Not the first time this happens. I've been home on bed rest for 3 weeks, so the fact that the sauces were not what I ordered was a huge let down. May not be a big deal but the fact that I cannot leave home was a big deal for me. It is not that difficult to read the order correctly. We also tried calling in the order, no one answered the phone, at all. Had to go in to place it. If there aren't enough employees, hire one to strictly take phone orders, double check the orders. I LOVE wings n things, but this location is awful. I don't know why the employees can't perform as well as the Carmel Mountain location, but every time I come here the chicken is drier than anything. I don't recommend getting the buffalo chicken fries, this was more overcooked than the bone in wings I got. You can tell it's going to be overcooked because it takes them an unreasonably long time to get the food out to you. This was the first Wings N Things I had ever been to, so until I went to other places I didn't realize how nicer they can be. The food is tasty, especially the strips. We used to order often for Super Bowl Sunday. The service is definitely slow. The worst problem is the location. We ordered 48 mild wings and some breadsticks for a family party. The way they were packed to go was good - kept them hot while we made the drive back to the house. They gave us enough ranch and blue cheese, and even gave us some veggie sticks as well. The flavor was good! Mild still had a little bit of a kick to it too! I didn't see any shrimp on the menu, based on another yelpers review? The breadsticks were good, veggies fresh and crisp. I ordered the Sweet Chilli flavored wings, pretty good and just enough kick. It really doesn't matter whether you eat in or get take out, there is always something wrong with the order. The food is great but negligent employees will give you the wrong sauce, wrong order, wrong condiments, or not fulfill your custom request like no bread extra veggies or vice versa. I went here on 7/31 and ordered a single meal which was advertised on instagram as a bogo deal requiring the purchase of a bone in single meal and drink. I get to the location after ordering over the phone and find out its any single meal which was unfortunate because I love the strips. Either way, the kid taking my payment was so high out of his mind he could not comprehend how to explain the bogo to me that he was giving me a coupon. I told him I understood the deal and to take my payment and give me the coupon. It then took him twice as long as usual to process the order on the computer. I go back on 8/3 to redeem and I call in the order as usual and I hear the same kid answer the phone. I tell him what I want and get to the spot to pick it up. I hand him the coupon and he says in such a disappointing way " oh you were supposed to call" I told him I did and he still could not get the words out of his mouth that I needed to explain I had a coupon on the phone. I told him I asked this when he gave it to me the first time and he said it wasn't required. It also wasn't printed on the coupon that this explanation was needed. He was extremely irritated at this fact he had to cancel out the order and redo it. I reminded him I wanted blue cheese and no bread extra veggies so he says ok and then tells me I have to wait like I just placed an order because I didn't do it right. Okay. I'm supposed to be reviewing the restaurant but I'd rather review why the heck this place has so little stars. It makes no sense. This is the best and only place to get wings in Escondido. They're fresh, authentic, and delicious. If you're on a diet, don't come here. They're fried pieces of perfection. Maybe other wing places have decent wings, but this place gives you bread sticks with your meal. Maybe it sounds like a crazy combination, but it's the only way to go. Dip the bread in buffalo sauce and ranch and you just made a stepping stone to heaven. The buffalo sauce is just so good. There's nothing weird about it. It's just perfect, classic sauce. Prices are fair because the flavor is there. I think that anyone who likes wings should come here and have some. It's 6 out of 5 stars in my book! read more

My sister loves this place. Just remember to always call in your order! The sauces are delicious. Customer service is not that great. When you do pick up your to go order make sure that you check your bags first! My sister was really upset that she didn't get her fries once and boy was she upset. I got food here for dinner. The store itself looks really old and could use an upgrade. They don't have air conditioning. They just had the front door left wide open. It's pretty hot in escondido as well so this is definitely a downer. I ordered the family pack for 20 boneless buffalo wings. It took almost 30 mins for the food to get ready. It came with 8 breadsticks. Sometime they make it good but today the breadsticks weren't that great. I love it when they have a lot of the garlic butter on top. But today it was just plain and could've used way more garlic butter on it. Disclaimer: I am not one for buffalo wings. They are messy, boney, and the buffalo sauce is not that appealing either. But boneless wings (i.e. Chicken Nuggets on steroids) are something that I can totally get into. I am willing to get a little messy if I don't have to deal with bones. Wings N Things delivers on the boneless wings as well as the regular style too. They also sell strips too. I ordered a single boneless wing meal with Original BBQ sauce on the wings. The Mr. ordered original wings with the hot style Buffalo sauce (apparently there are three levels of hot, with "hot" being the lowest. You can get ATOMIC sauce, if you are into your sinuses oozing and sweating profusely during a meal). The big, meaty chicken chunks were awesome. Plus, WNT is generous with the sauce too, which is a nice change from other chains. The meals come with breadsticks, which are quite similar to Pat & Osacars' breadsticks. They are damn delicious!!! CON: A 20 minute wait for an order??!! But you only sell wings (yes, the "things" are minimal). CALL YOUR ORDER AHEAD IF YOU PLAN ON DOING TAKE-OUT. read more

I visited the El Norte location and ordered the 8 piece tenders, it was over cooked dry and hard when I called to see if I could return it and get a refund but no one answered the phone It seem as if they knew they were selling sorry chicken and didn't want to deal with the consequences of selling this for lack of a better word junk! This place is a hit or miss type of spot. Sometimes, even if you ordered ahead of time for pick up, you'll get your order right away or still wait. I usually call in 15 minutes before I pick up my food and my order is pretty simple (single meal with the chicken strip tenders). So even if I give them at least 15 minute notice (they usually say my order will be ready in 10 minutes), most of the time, I would still have to wait for another 5-10 minutes. Today, though, was a different story that I actually got my food as soon as I got there. Although, I didn't get there until after 25 minutes after I've already ordered. Food is good. I don't think I'll be coming here if the food isn't good. Basic Wings n Things menu as well. Parking is not good, it's always full and next door is a barber shop claiming two spots for their customers. I'm not really sure if they can do that but one of these days, I would like to test the theory of what will happen if I parked there to pick up my order from Wings n Things. All in all, it was your typical day at this location with the food and parking. Only exception is that I didn't have to wait longer than usual. Okay, so I'm immature and wrote a bad review about my order being wrong. After quickly coming to my senses, I drove back to this location and expressed to them how I had expected my order to be. They fixed it rather quickly and even were courteous enough to throw in two extra strips and two extra bread sticks. I think Wings N Things understands that their breadsticks are the key to their customers hearts. I deleted my negative review immediately and decided to write this one. This location gets a bad rep for the tiny parking lot and large volume of customers it brings in, two things they can't really control. I used to live down the street from this location and went here quite often and usually enjoyed the food. Thing is, prior to COVID the owner or manager changed and the food got horrible and I mean horrible. The customer service was just as bad as the food was!! This was new for me cause I usually liked it there even though it was small, usually not very clean inside and always extremely hot inside. All prior to COVID. I stopped coming here and thank God there is a MUCH better location on Valley Pkwy. I highly recommend you go to that one instead!!!
