My husband and I love to "Yelp" when traveling. We like trying new places and seeing if they live up to the "hype". Quig's did not disappoint! I had the footlong hotdog plate with fries and my husband had the Snakebite Burger (with jalapeños and habanero cheese) and onion straws. We split the fries/onion straws at the table so we could each have some. Fries were perfect (well seasoned, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside). Onion straws were tasty and crispy. Amazing burger probably one of the best and it was HUGE my whole mouth could barely wrap around it I had to squeeze it down. The service was also pretty good she came over to check on us mid way through and was very kind. It was next to a gas station/outlet but don't judge a book by its cover. We ordered ahead online for pickup. We got delayed in traffic, I called to let them know we would be about 30 minutes late. They remade our food to ensure it was fresh when we finally arrived. The fries were seasoned well and crispy. The toasted brioche bun was delicious and the bacon was generous and crispy for the bacon cheeseburger. The mushroom and Swiss had a veggie patty substitution which I mistakenly assumed meant the quinoa veggie patty which is listed on the menu but wasn't an option for online ordering (maybe it was out of stock?) but it was actually a beyond type burger which was good. This is a little hole in the wall burger joint in a strip mall next to a gas station. Tips for a successful visit... 1) Don't be in a hurry. They make everything fresh (the sign at the counter says so) and apparently that means killing the cow and harvesting the garden. Our order took 35 minutes. Not that it wasn't tasty, just don't get in a twist if you expect speedy, because this isn't it. 2) The appetizers are "ok". My daughter loves mozzarella cheese sticks. She only ate one because they were only lukewarm. Same with my fried pickles. 3) Young lady at the counter was very friendly. 4) Mushroom burgers were delicious. Well after saving this location on my list for awhile I finally made it yesterday. It was my family of three which includes my 14 year old daughter and my friend who has two younger kids, 5 and 7. None of us had been there before and the owner helped us understand what the menu offered and the quality of the food which I appreciated. One thing I want to call out is he offered to have the younger kids food come out first (something I know you almost always have to suggest yourself). On to the food... The ladies had salmon fish tacos and they loved them. My daughter was determined to get the Ultimate burger which is HUGE. She loved every bite and she could only eat about half so it made for good leftovers. It's made with high quality meat like Angus beef and brisket. I think I'm getting that next time. I had the loaded chicken tenders with everything on it. I could tell at the first bite this was not cheap chicken meat which hard breaded tenders. The fries with the tenders and jalapeños were a perfect combination. I apologize there's not pictures for all this food but I made sure to get a pic of the burger. It's one of a kind. The interior is clean and service was great as you can tell the owner cares about his food and his customers. I'm glad we found another option to the typical franchises around here. This is in a strip mall with a gas station. We pulled it up as a places to eat on our drive home and got good reviews. You go up to the counter and order and pay the pick a seat and they bring your food to you. . They had some high top tables, some tables with chairs, and then tables that had a long cushioned bench on the other side. The woman behind the counter was very friendly and since we had never been there, we asked what her two favorite things were and she said the burger that my husband got and fried shrimp, but I really want a sandwich so I got the chicken sandwich My husband said his snake bike burger was very good. My chicken sandwich was a fried chicken sandwich. I don't think it had anything special to it. They toast the bun and they put lettuce, tomato pickles, and onions on it. The french fries were good, but they were seasoned and that's not my favorite. I prefer regular. The food was served pretty quick. I feel $2 for a piece of cheese is expensive. Our 2 sandwiches with a side of fries without anything to drink came to $39.49. I don't think we will be back. read more

I ordered the Ultimate Burger, which very much lives up to its name! Biggest burger I've ever ordered, fully loaded with bacon. Highly recommend! I had to take half of it home.The beef was well seasoned and not dry at all. Hubby ordered the chili dog and he really liked it... he would go lighter on the onion next time. Service was great. Small location, seriously great burgers. They serve more than burger (salads, chicken) but I think the big draw is their burgers and homemade sauces. To start off with their burgers are made the combination of Angus beef and ground chuck, and the patties come out about a full quarter inch tall. You can double stack them, which my son and I did on this first visit of ours. He loved the double stack, but I thought it was almost too much. So you make your choice, you can't go wrong with either. A little about the restaurant. it is counter serve, it's fairly small, but it's ridiculously clean and service was wonderful. When we were there, we were served by Jade and was friendly, engaging and clearly wanted to make sure we had the best experience. When I told her we wanted to try all the different sauces with our fries, she didn't hesitate and came back with a smallsamples of each. Hats off to her. But you wanna know about the food: NOTE ALL SAUCES ARE HOMEMADE. We were looking for something new along CR 210 in St Johns County. My wife did a web search and came up with Quig's. We had never noticed the location before; it's in a nondescript strip center anchored by a gas station. Honestly, we weren't expecting much as we approached the storefront. It was a little late in the lunch hour, and there was no one inside. The front counter featured a freezer well of about a dozen or more hand-scooped ice cream flavors, and it seemed for a moment to be more of a treat shop than a restaurant. But boy, were we wrong! My wife and I both ordered burgers. Mine was the New Yorker, an indulgent combination of excellent ground beef and succulent pastrami. The texture and flavors were outstanding and exceeded our expectations. It was an extraordinarily well-crafted culinary experience. I was so impressed that I spoke to the owner, Scott Quigley. He told me his story, and especially emphasized his commitment to quality. It shows in the product! Highly, highly recommended. They should be a LOT busier after two years. The Elvis burger is a 1/3 lb of fresh hand made burger patty, seasoned and cooked to perfection. Placed on a toasted bun, with cheese, banana slices, candied jalapeños (made in house), and peanut butter. Yes, I said PEANUT BUTTER! It was just different enough that I had to try it. And I LOVED it!!! My wife had the burger cheese fries (under the "sharable" section on the menu. She was equally pleased with her dish. They also have seafood selections (today's fresh selection was trigger fish), as well as chicken dishes. She asked if medium to medium well was OK and I said absolutely. Great selection of sides. My burger was perfectly cooked, great quality meat, the bun to meat to toppings ratio was fantastic and you can tell everything was made with care. The bun was fluffy and grilled to perfection. I would love to post a picture, but the one I took didn't do it justice as we are visiting from the Tampa Bay area and had to eat in our hotel room since we are traveling with three puppies leaving from hurricane Milton. I had driven past this place many times on the way to my bank but had never tried it until today. I am so glad I did. It has a really good rating on Yelp and now I know why. It has cute red, white and blue decor, which makes it a colorful upbeat place to dine. They have burgers, chicken tenders, wings, wraps, salads, fried shrimp, and appetizers. I opted for the bacon cheeseburger with fries. The burger was very juicy and cooked perfectly. The bun was toasted and tasted great too, and it was the perfect meat to bun ratio. The fries were also delicious. They had a seasoning on them that probably had some paprika in it, as well as salt, and some other seasoning. I could eat the fries every day. The exterior doesn't necessarily draw you in as it sits in a small shopping strip by the Mobile gas station and Subway but looks are absolutely deceiving! Found this amazing place solely based on their reviews and they were spot on! We had an amazing experience, I highly recommend this restaurant, and can't wait to come back. From the fried pickles, fried shrimp and tator bombs every thing was delicious--so flavorful and cooked perfectly. The service was also exceptional; our server, was so friendly and attentive, making us feel incredibly welcome, offered her insights on her favorites. The only thing we didn't get a chance to enjoy was some ice cream after supper, but only because we were so full. The restaurant is warm and inviting, lively and fun, and CLEAN!
