My FAVORITE restaurant in Glendale. This place is absolutely gorgeous. The interior designer should win some kind of award. I ordered the pear salad and garlic fries for an appetizer and both were outstanding. I was hesitant to order Mongolian Beef at a French restaurant but was so glad I did. It was out of this world. The quality and flavors were that of a Michelin ratted chef. The waiter Ivan was so kind and knowledgeable and made us feel special. This is a perfect restaurant with nothing that I could improve upon other than carrying Kronnenbourg 1664 beer. We loved it so much that we immediately made reservations for Saturday night. We decided to have a birthday at this place, while the setting was beautiful and they had music which was nice. The foot quality compared to the price was really bad. They basically charge you premium price for premium meat and give you very low quality food. If you're going to charge premium price at least provide premium quality food. Anyways the food was bad and basically the cheapest on the market. Everything else was fine. To add from your comments. Trust me your quality is not good. Even Raffi's kabob has better quality. My wife and I checked out this place with friends of ours since it's newer and seeing pics from other friends was enticing. Ambience: beautiful and elegant. From the unique French style wallpapers to the decoration, you can just tell a lot of thought went into designing this incredible space. Although the theme was darker piano vibe, It was slightly too dark, staying there too long with same darker lighting hurts your eyes. Music: live piano is being played as you enjoy your dinner which is absolutely beautiful. Mister X also sings in different languages and he has an amazing voice. So, if you want a chill quiet romantic French vibe, this is a great spot. Service: service was incredible. No complaints here - staff was professional and attentive. Quick service. Drinks: strictly a wine bar which I didn't know. And to top that off, it's Bottle purchases only. No wine by the glass is available, which I didn't like and I don't understand why that would be the case. That needs to be reconsidered. Regardless we got 2 bottles of wine and liked both. Food: Overall food was really good and but I wouldn't say great for its value. Pricing def needs to be adjusted to reflect appropriate portions of the food. There's a few things that needs to be highlighted and course corrected. There's a specific spice that's on the meat that needs to be eased a bit. Branzino filet was a bit dry as my wife noted and the portion was too small. Tuna tartare was absolutely amazing and fresh; however, it had absolutely no chips of any kind with it which I thought was a bit odd - what do I eat it with? The pea paste under the scallops was incredible. Burrata basil was amazing - great seasonal tomatoes. Mixed berry mascarpone was super light. Lava cake was really tasty but when I cut a lava cake I'm expecting chocolate to ooze out and it did not. Overall: we will go back but I think only when I feel like having a bottle of wine, maybe get a charcuterie board, some Burrata salad and listen to the piano and Mixter X perform. read more

I'm giving this restaurant 5star, because I believe they can improve on a few things. Ambience is excellent, especially on Saturday night when they have Arthur (Mister X) singing and maestro Armen Martirosyan playing. Honestly, this is why I even gave it a try in a first place. Valentine's Day celebration was great too! Service was good, very attentive to us both times we visited. One thing I would really improve is the food. Selection and quality are average. Just wow. Where do i begin. So we decided to eat here as a surprise birthday for me after watching quiet place day 1. It was a two person date that my person planned out for me and read the reviews of it being a FRENCH restaurant. We are met with a pretty empty restaurant and an unenthused hostess who decides to sit us next to the family of 8. Mind you, the restaurant is empty. We ask to be moved, no big deal. Then the menu comes. It's not French. Not even remotely french. Server comes, nice girl, seems a little lost and unsure of how to respond to our questions about the restaurant's menu. We decide to ask for water, since she's not bringing any. She brings a bottled water that wasn't opened in front of us so we figured it was tap water. We order the dolma - its wet and the meat is not fresh. It's premade. We decide to look past it and get a sprite to wash away the taste. Another server comes, and discloses to us that sprite is not cold so he is serving it in a chilled glass. Well. That sprite warmed up the chilled glass and it was still warm. Apparently, this restaurant has never heard of ice. Thats when we decide to grab the check and leave. Cause at this point we are uncomfortable and the service is taking too long. Tell me why they charged us 38 dollars. This place is actually ridiculous. Shut it down. Do not come here. Unless you love being disappointed. Luckily, we were able to laugh about it. But please overlook this restaurant. read more

The atmosphere here is top notch. The service was just great ( but we were the only people in the place). The 5* reviews here must be friends and family. The food was 3rd world cafeteria. The menu for lunch was confusing at best. WTF Italian meatballs next to Mongolian beef??? I thought Airline chicken was a humorous name and yet, I've had better chicken on an airline. The chicken was as hard and dry as one would expect for airline chicken. The buratta was good, but it needed more balsamic. I had the meatballs. They were seasoned well, but way over cooked, dry and crumbly. They were served on mashed potatoes even thought they did have pasta in-house. The lunch bill for 2x glasses of wine, one meatball, hard chicken, buratta and some sparkling water was $110. This included an $10 appetizer we ordered, but never received. We brought our concerns to the manager and she ONLY comped us on some deserts to-go. I am rooting for this place, because the potential for it to be better is eminent. I only hope they listen to their customers and fix this situation. I look forward to giving them another try when they get their act together. read more

I'm not too sure how this restaurant has over 4 stars but this was my experience last night... My wife and I had a dinner reservation for our anniversary at 6pm. Due to a car show going on on Brand Blvd directly across from the restaurant, we timed our arrival a bit earlier to leave time for parking and to walk over to the restaurant. Therefore, we arrived a little earlier than our reservation, at 5:35pm. We decided to walk in to see if maybe the hostess could seat us a bit earlier. We noticed there was only one table occupied and thought it wouldn't be an issue. As soon as we walked in, the hostess didn't greet us. She just asked if we had a reservation, to which we told her it was at 6pm, acknowledging we were early. She said she couldn't seat us and we'd have to come back at a time closer to 6. My wife and I didn't argue with her. We just said ok and that we'd return a bit later. When we came back at 6, the same hostess acted like she hadn't seen us less than a half an hour ago. So again we told her we had a reservation at 6pm and she proceeded to finally seat us. Only the same table that was occupied at the time we originally entered the restaurant was there. No one else was dining at the establishment. After we sat, our drink order was taken immediately, followed by our dinner order a few minutes later. Since there's a promotion on their Yelp page stating that you get a "free appetizer with dinner", I asked our waiter about it. He said the "free appetizer" is the complimentary bread they provide with the 3 different butters. Mind you, this item is NOT listed on the appetizer menu. On Yelp, it's listed as "complimentary". Again, we didn't say anything, we just ordered the jumbo shrimp appetizer to share and our dinner orders which were the lamb and Chilean sea bass. Again, the jumbo shrimp appetizer came out fairly quickly and was pretty tasty. There were 6 pieces of jumbo shrimp piled on a bed of guacamole. This didn't seem like a French dish to me, since they're advertising that it's a "French" restaurant, but nevertheless, the appetizer was good. After we were done, they cleaned up our table and offered to bring us new silverware and dishes for our dinner. This was much appreciated. So now we wait for dinner. And man, did we wait. At this point, the original table of patrons had left and a new table of 2 had arrived. So including us, only another table of 2 there. After about 20 minutes of waiting for our dinner, the hostess, who we later find out is the manager, comes over to our table to express that something was going on in the kitchen and our dinner would be delayed about 10 minutes. She said sorry a few times and made sure to note that it wasn't her staff's fault. We said it was fine, we weren't in a rush and could wait it out. Another 20 minutes later, our dinner arrived. The presentation was nice but the flavors were subpar. Regardless, we ate what we could. I couldn't finish my lamb dish because everything had grated pistachio sprinkled all over it. It was a bit too much and not to my liking. My wife's sea bass was alright. There was a piece of sea bass and a couple of green beans on her dish. Not too much to see there either. While we were eating our dinner, I asked for our check because we were pretty much ready to go. The atmosphere was great but the service and food weren't. When the bill arrived, I saw we were charged for the "complimentary bread" after all and weren't offered any compensation for anything while we waited for our dinner due to the kitchen mishap. No one ever said a simple "Happy Anniversary". Now don't get me wrong, I typically speak up about issues like this but I was just frustrated with our overall experience here and was just ready to pay and book it. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone I know and certainly won't be coming back here. read more

The tuna tartare was also beautiful, with melt in your mouth tuna, perfectly ripe mango, and a creamy avocado mousse, and the scallops were fabulous. PLEASE READ THE RECENT REVIEWS. This is easily the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my life. The major red flag is that the French menu they advertise online, on their website, and on social media is nonexistent. This is not a French restaurant. We came here expecting a French fine dining experience, but got a completely different menu with Americanized "middle eastern" food, with random items like smoked salmon salad on the menu. When we asked the waitress about this, she could not even answer our questions about the falsely advertised menu. The terrible/horrible service and staff did not help, as we were ignored for most of the 50 minutes that we were there, eventhough the restaurant was almost empty. We left after tasting the soggy Dolma (grape leave) appetizer, and ordering a bottle of water, and a sprite (which they served warm... What?!). The bill came out to be $38 for these 3 items. This actually felt like a scam. The ambience was cute? Although the decor and design felt very "Titanic" modern lounge inspired. This was a perfect metaphor for our experience at Epique. The longer we were there, the worse it got. So, if you want 2/10 service, pay an arm and a leg for extremely basic food, and leave feeling stressed, then you've got the perfect place for that. Was passing by the area and stumbled upon this super cute, classy French inspired cuisine restaurant. We were greeted with super kind host and got seated right away. Only came here for some wine and desserts. Ordered the chocolate cake with the ice cream, and crème brûlée with karas wine. They also happened to have live piano player and singer. The place is so chic and classy. I'd rate this place a high scale beautiful date night place in Glendale. Parking is available all around in the Glendale parking structures and meter parking a on the street.
