Corned Beef, Pastrami, Roast Beef & Turkey "Sloppy Joe"- Russian dressing, coleslaw, lettuce and tomato $23.99
    Rebecca S.

Absolutely a 5 star experience at Epstein's Kosher Deli in July 2025. These low rated reviews are simply not accurate. My BF and I split the Corned Beef, Pastrami, Roast Beef & Turkey "Sloppy Joe"- with Russian dressing, coleslaw, lettuce and tomato on some of the best rye bread I've ever gad for $23.99 it was a very generous portion large enough to split and still feel stuffed. This was my first time having 4 different proteins in one sandwich, I was skeptical at first, but my goodness each deli meat was so fresh, tender and flavorful. My BF and I agreed, best sandwich we've ever had. Closest runner ups were Barney Greengrass's pastrami corned beef combo (half the size, 33% more expensive) and for his florida blood, a pubsub from publix We were served w large bowl of pickles (full and half sour) when we sat down, and the service was excellent. Some insight into Epstein's low rating- if you visit a KOSHER deli and are upset they can't give you dairy cheese on your turkey sandwich, that reveals a lot about *you* as a customer and is in no way a reflection of the business you are patronizing. For non kosher eaters: kosher diets forbid the mixing of meat and milk- so no kosher meat restaurant will serve dairy!

I love having a legit deli so close to home. We had the deli platter with pastrami, roast beef and corned beef and it was amazing. It comes deli style with Cole slaw, pickles and bread and a side. Super friendly service and the portions are great for the price.

the Hot Pastrami Sandwich is amazing!! It comes with the best pickles ever!!

I highly recommend this place! There's a lot of parking. Service is welcoming. The food is amazing! I had a pastrami sandwich. The pickles were so good, too. It's fun to look around and see the deli.

I had not been here since I worked in white plains in the 1980's through the early 1990's I would go at least once a week back then and enjoyed my kosher food. Great pastrami, great corned beef and tongue. The home made knishes are great even though I prefer the square Gabriella knish which they also prepare to perfection. It was very nostalgic for me to come back and try it after all these years but I have to say things were identical and fantastic.

Service was sluggish and sparse The booths were cramped but well cushioned.' If your very generously sized you might not fit. The food was quintessential kosher deli but also some healthier fare like salads for me! All was average to better than average. Let's say we give it 3.5 they lost than 0.5 for poor service and cramped quarters.

    Pastrami on club

It was easy to order online. I got a pastrami on club, and there was a good amount of meat, but you can pay extra for a half pound more of meat, not sure what the standard amount is. The food was ready quicker than email said it would take. There was plenty of parking since it's in a strip mall. Even though kosher pastrami is an expensive sandwich, it is really filling and can easily be split into 2 meals and is just as good cold, but the hot fresh out of the bag pastrami is amazing.

Stopped in to grab a few hotdogs for lunch. i'm so glad I did! The hotdogs have a Great bite to them, with a little bit of Chrispness on the outside. I bought two, one for me and one for my friend. One with sauerkraut and mustard and one with just mustard. The Sauerkraut had a great sour tang to it with a nice spicy mustard. We love the hotdogs, they were very memorable. Always a good meal at Epstein's!

    Macaroni salad, beets, whitefish

There are many impressive things to order both from the menu and from the deli. I'll start with the deli sandwiches. The tongue sandwich was quite good. I was surprised how delicate the flavor was, and there was a deeper quality to the meat compared to other cuts. The deluxe sandwich which included cuts of roast beef Pastrami and corned beef was extremely tasty. In particular the Pastrami and corned beef really hit the spot. The turkey sandwich did not seem so special given that the other meats proved themselves to be much stronger. The cold Deli items were also quite tasty. Macaroni salad stood out, nicely textured with bits of carrot providing contrasting flavors. The white fish was really rich, some might consider it's too salty. I thought it was okay in that respect. The coleslaw tasted very fresh, as did the beets. The herring was perhaps much too pickled for my taste. Finally, the knishes are all really nice. The deli was able to warm them all up. The potato knishes, both the round and the square ones, had a lot of rich flavor, and texturally gives one a feel-good sensation. The buckwheat knishes had a distinctive flavor that I was not quite used to; however, I believe over time I could get used to it. Excellent overall!

Way too expensive. $20 for a basic pastrami sandwich and nothing else is absolute robbery.

They offered red or white wine to the guests as well as passed out champagne at the beginning for the toast. Later they had coffee or tea to go with the dessert. The food varied. The appetizers, spicy shrimp and Italian meatballs, were addictive. The arugula salad was nicely presented and flavors meshed well. The pasta with peas was al dented. The side dishes of mixed vegetables and potatoes were decent. The main dishes were hit or miss. There were three: salmon, steak, and chicken marsala. The salmon was flavorful but a little dry. The chicken marsala was very dry and was saved by the delicious sauce with mushrooms. The best was the steak which was perfectly tender and medium rare. The dessert was some small pastries and fruit which was presented nicely. It is a very classy place with good service.
