My friend and I stopped by after visiting the Fort Mason Farmers' Market. There was a long line, but it moved quickly. We both ordered the iced strawberry matcha cloud. The strawberry foam on top was delicious and not too sweet. The foam doesn't mix well into the matcha though, so you'll be drinking each part separately. Keep in mind you'll also be paying almost $9 for a matcha. They did have a bowl of free dog treats which was cute, but it was empty.

Whether you're stopping for a quick pick me up or need a place to sit and people watch this cute coffee shop was the perfect spot. My sister and I stopped by and found seating outside to get a little work done and people watch. We got a black coffee, chocolate croissant, and a lemon loaf which were all really good. The workers were so nice, I needed a place to charge my Macbook and they offered to charge it in the back for me while I walked around with my dog. It's right next to Fort Mason and a quick walk to the San Francisco Bay Trail right by the water.

The coffee and food is always delicious. I highly recommend the cardamom chocolate pastry! It's amassing! And pairs perfectly with a cup of coffee or a latte. This coffee spot of great when you want to grab a cup to go and enjoy a stroll oblong the shoreline of the marina district. There is paid parking near by.

Amazing location. Amazing coffee. Amazing service. Great pastries. I don't always run for coffee, but when I do, it's for Equator Coffees in Fort Mason by the Marina. It's a wonderful location with wonderful views. Quite a bit of outdoor seating. Bring your friends who are tourists or in-town! It's a SF experience (which, unfortunately, can mean that there'll be a long line involved.) I like their pastries and specialty lattes and seasonal drinks like strawberry cream matcha. It's not overly sweet and it's good quality matcha! They have nice Fall and holiday drinks as well.

Right by the marina and near the Golden Gate Bridge, Equator Coffees is a great choice. Whether you're visiting or from the area, the marina view of the bridge is just stunning, especially with a delicious beverage in hand. I loved that there were nearby benches to sit and enjoy your drink or meal. I ordered a seasonal strawberry matcha, and it was great to have the option of either a tea or latte base. The tea base for the matcha really enhanced the earthy flavor, and the strawberry cold foam was creamy and mildly sweet. Service was quick but very friendly!

My go to Brainwash Latte served hot or cold that contains what they call functional mushrooms that is supposedly good for health. Taste is nutty, chocolatey and smooth. This location is more to go, with a long table with a few seats. Plenty of tables outside. Staff are friendly.

Equator coffee is right by the water which is nice. It was super crowded and drink took a while to come out so may want to order ahead. I got the chai latte, the flavor was okay. The red velvet cookie I got was really unique and yummy. There's lots of baked goods to choose from and the barista was helpful with recommendations. The seating was taken inside but there's enough outdoor tables.

Perfect spot to enjoy a tasty coffee by the water. The coffee quality here is amazing. I tried their seasonal Habibi Latte - orange blossom, cardamom, clove, vanilla syrup, espresso, and steamed milk and absolutely loved it. It was a very festive and fun beverage to enjoy while walking around the marina! It can get quite popular and busy, especially on weekends. We've waited over half an our for our drinks before, so plan accordingly!

One of my favorite places to get coffee in SF. Amazing location right by the water and Fort Mason park, as well as the sunday farmers market. Women-owned, sustainable company, and exceptional coffee and creative drinks. A line does build up on weekends but easily avoidable by ordering ahead or going outside of peak times. My all-time favorite drinks to get here are the seasonal flavors of the cold brew cream drinks. I love them all but the summer blackberry flavor is life-changing, tastes like it was freshly picked off a blackberry bush. I think about it all year.

Super RUDE crew, WORST coffee shop experience EVER! I got burned when they spilled coffee on me and no one even said sorry. When we asked for a refund, the manager tried to make us leave. This is not the way you would treat other human beings let alone a customer. I would give 0 stars if I could, would NOT recommend going there unless you want to get burned and yelled at for 5$!... read more

All the staff is very friendly and cool. The coffee is consistent and great. The location is amazing. Definitely one of my fav coffee places around this area. The only complaint is that sometimes the bakery (banana bread etc.) is barely warmed up when asked to warm up. read more

Lovely setting, nice staff. My mocha, however, was not very hot (and it had just been made), and had not much chocolate in it. They were quite busy, with waits of 5-10 minutes for drinks (good on the order taker for noting that before the order went through), but that really doesn't explain the cold mocha. read more

The coffee at this location is pretty good. I say it would be a little bit better than mass market Pete's. However, the wait times are unacceptable. There's consistently a 20+ min wait for something basic like an Americano. The people making the coffee always seem to be very frazzled or couldn't give a fig if anything got out the door. The wait is even obscene during off days and off hours. Just save the headache and go to Starbucks around the corner read more

Their card reader didn't work and the person at the cash register didn't know how to fix it. The manager just told her to reboot the system but she couldn't do that either and for five minutes no one would help even though they had nothing to do but stare at their phones. After it was finally fixed they did not apologize or take any kind action (my coffee was obviously cold at this point). Much better to go to any other coffee shop than here. read more

This place is great! Probably the best chai I've had in the city. They make it with whole leaves and spices- it's amazing. Also check out their breakfast tacos on weekends- although you never really know when they'll be delivered and ready! read more

Great little coffee spot right by Fort Mason! They have outdoor seating which is lovely to enjoy a sunny afternoon. They have decaf espresso and also delicious donuts and pastries. Indoor seating is only counter space so it's limited. And you gotta love their cappuccino foam art :) read more

Small boutique coffee shop right next to the Fort Mason farmers market! Everything from espresso drinks, tea, wine and beer! I indulged in their classic "Shakerato" which is a 8oz iced drink, two shots of espresso, and heavy cream. Delicious! read more

This is such a great addition to Fort Mason. I typically come here on Sunday mornings either before or after the Ft. Mason Farmer's Market. I was lucky enough to stumble in on their opening day (free coffee!) and I've yet to be disappointed. I typically order an Americano and add the homemade cashew milk, which is delicious. For those that care, I don't believe they offer soy or almond milk, only cashew milk. The staff here is always friendly and generally in a good mood and service is very prompt. The space is also clean, and nicely laid out. Overall, this is a great spot with tons of outdoor seating, though prices feel as though they're a touch higher than other third-wave coffee spots (but the cashew milk almost makes it worth it.) read more

Equator wins the prize. In a city full of overpriced coffee, which seems normal by now, they've managed to shock me with their prices. For example, $4.50 for a nitro cold brew that is probably half the size of the nitro cold brews at every other coffee shop in San Francisco (and they all seem to be serving this these days). I mean, this thing is tiny! It takes a real effort to make Verve look cheap, but Equator managed to do it. On top of that, I've been here twice and the customer service has been average at best both times. So why still 3 stars? Well, Equator makes a solid, but not spectacular, coffee. Of course, so do many other places in the area (Wrecking Ball, Le Marais, Coffee Roastery, Peets, etc). Also, I do like the location. It's a pleasant place to sit outside on a nice day. read more

Most of these new high-end coffees do not appeal to me at all. Single-pour? Always tastes like burned cigarette butts. Cold brew? I liked it better when it was called "iced coffee." Philz? Meh. Starbucks? I drink it because they enjoy a monopoly. But EQUATOR? Friends, Equator is the real deal. Yesterday they served me an iced coffee, and it legit tasted wonderful *before* I added milk or sweetener. Many make such a claim about their boutiquey, connoisseur coffee, but it's never true. Except in the case of Equator. Their coffee is wonderful. EDIT: What they actually serve here is cold brew. And it's really, really good. Also, the employees here are super nice. I neglected to mention that previously. :-) read more

This place has delicious drip coffee and lattes. They have oat and cashew milk for non-dairy drinkers. There is a parking lot which makes it convenient to drop by. My in-laws buy their coffee by the pound here. Great local Bay Area coffee shop! (Only 7 locations). read more

So nice to have one of the Equator Coffee shops here now. Great selection of coffees. Also get whole bean to make at home. Pastries are delicious here too. Rude and frankly bizarre customer service. They have some sort of chip on their shoulder about customers asking about non-dairy options. For years I probably spent about $50 here most months, but I won't support this business anymore. In a city with large populations that have high incidences of lactose intolerance, their attitude really isn't cool. read more

Equator coffee at the marina is everything you want and more ! With a perfect shakerato in hand, and views of the Golden Gate Bridge and all the dogs around what else could you ask for ? This is my go to spot every Sunday before or after visiting the farmers market! The lines can get long but it's always moving along quickly so don't let that be a deterrent! There is limited seating inside, but outside they have a whole bunch of tables and why not when you have views like these!!! read more

My dad woke my sister and I up early one Saturday morning because he wanted to go bike riding along to Presidio. We just happened to pass this small coffee shop by chance. I knew about Equator coffee, but I didn't know we would stumble upon it during that day. I was so happy. It was warm outside and there were quite a few people in line. The staff was really nice and helpful. I ordered an iced mocha because it was hot. It did have a little too much ice for me, but I let it go because I really couldn't stand the warmness. I will definitely go back when I go back to the Presidio. read more

Despite its size, it offers comfortable seating inside and out. Sitting inside, which is what I opted for, I could see the busy foot and car traffic pass by on Lombard Street. They offer a variety of breakfast options, and their Avocado Toast looked inviting, but I stayed with a cup of drip coffee. There was only one person behind the counter, and she welcomed me as soon as I walked in and took my order. The coffee was strong and flavorful, not too watery. I took my time sipping it while looking around the cafe from my seat. If I visit again, I would love to try their Avocado Toast and another hot cup of coffee here.

Besides that, got the hot chocolate and the coffee tasting. I was surprised there was no explanation provided with the coffee- I figured it's all Honduran but an overview of some sort would have helped. I enjoyed all the coffees in there except the latte. Will visit again, earlier in the day so they are not out of their best sellers and try a different order.

I do want to call out how much I appreciate the amount of savory pastries they have since I don't always want a sweet treat the moment I wake up. To note, Juniper is typically busy, but I have never waited in line for more than 10 minutes, even on weekends. They also have a lot of tables for seating, but because of the flow of people, it might be difficult to find a spot. Stop by here if you're around the area! They are also a sister shop of Saint Frank, so you can get some coffee while you're here as well.

The interior is more industrial and small and definitely more of a grab and go, or sit down for a quick few bites type of vibe. My friend and i got a few things to try, but the standouts were the mulberry danish, and the kimchi bacon Danish. All the pastries were crisp, with many buttery layers and were clearly well made but these two had the most flavor and stood out as offerings that are a bit more unique compared to other bakeries in the city. We also tried the black sesame kouign amann, which was more reminiscent of a morning bun type pastry, and the cubano and the ham and cheese croissants, which were good but just lacking a little in flavor. Overall, Juniper has excellent pastries, and I'll definitely be sure to grab a plain croissant next time to try it out as well - some pastries pack a bit more flavor than others but given how quickly the like moves I'll definitely be back again to try some of their othering offerings soon!

We visited Equator Coffees at Fort Mason after a refreshing morning run at the marina, and it was the perfect way to start our day! I highly recommend ordering online to save time, as there's always a long queue at the coffee shop. I tried The Habibi Latte, which features a delightful blend of orange blossom, cardamom, clove, vanilla syrup, two shots of espresso, and steamed milk. So happy to find this spot right when it opened! It's directly at the entrance to Fort Mason in it's own cute building. I had the iced coffee (an Ethiopian) and an espresso, both were delicious. And it doesn't get any better than drinking a coffee looking at the golden gate bridge. :) I'll be back daily. read more
