I found out about this place because of Mayor Lurie's insta. He's out here every day promoting our city, the different businesses, events, etc. Does that remind you of anyone you know? (Hint: Hi to all my Yelp Elite Friends!) So this place is so cool! Classic Cars on rotation display. Coffee, teas, and pastries. A membership only lounge in the back. This is their second location. First one located in Los Angeles. On this particular visit, I got a Flat White (delicious), a juice drink and some merch for my husband. He was quite pleased with my surprise gift. Service friendly. Located on Union and Van Ness.

The matcha was decent here, but not the best in the city or the area in my opinion. We came here to work for a couple hours on a Friday afternoon and were able to get a table to sit at. The space is pretty big, and while it did fill up, it was never super loud.

I loved the outer sunset matcha here. The orange cold foam was surprisingly delicious and paired really nicely with their matcha, which was creamy and smooth. This place is certainly vibey with the cool car decor, and there's some seats but it's always insanely full on the weekend and just way too cramped. They have a section in the back reserved for members behind a glass door though I've never seen anyone in there... wish there was more seating for us regular folks :)

Happened to be in SF and passed this cute coffee shop. My niece said she saw it on TikTok and wondered why I haven't seen it. Lots of space for people to work. The small truck turned into table for workspace is pretty creative! Just wanted to try a little something and got a cortado. Their merch is cute! They have huge space in back to rent out and/or maybe if and when it gets crowded.

Really good coffee and chai. The cars and decor is super cool. The only comment is that when we walked in, it felt like the patrons were judging us. I can't describe how, but it felt very elitist. Maybe because we came to the coffee shop for coffee and not to work on our laptops. Even though that energy was weird, the coffee was good enough to return one day.

I was around the Marina and decided to check out Motoring Coffee after seeing how cool the ambience was. The space is really unique since they have vintage cars displayed inside. There are also plenty of tables, so it seems like a great spot for working or studying. I ordered an iced latte and a matcha latte and both were pretty mid and nothing too memorable. That said, the space itself is definitely cool and worth checking out.

Hot and Iced Matcha Latte with Oat Milk

Came here after seeing it on social media for the longest time, and the aesthetic definitely outshines their drinks by a long shot. We came at around 1pm and there was a line out the door, but it moved pretty quickly. We got a hot and iced matcha latte with oat milk and simple syrup. We appreciate that there was no upcharge for alternative milk, and were told that we could also do vanilla or honey to sweeten our matcha. Both of our matchas were extremely milky, and had little to no matcha flavor. We couldn't finish the whole thing because it felt like we were just drinking oat milk. The ambiance is cute and retro inside, and as someone who isn't the biggest coffee fan, that is the only saving grace for this place. I do not plan on returning.

I was excited to finally stop at Motoring Coffee on a sunny Sunday and loved the drinks and ambiance. I got the orange espresso spritz and my friend got the matcha mojito. Both were delicious and I loved the orange espresso spritz with a sweet tart orange syrup which paired well with the bitter espresso. The matcha mojito was super refreshing with the limeade and not too sweet. The vibe is super unique and fun with antique cars and even plane seats to sit in. There were some people working and catching up with friends as well so it can get busy but overall a nice spot to relax in for a bit.

I had time to kill before a pilates class, so I entered into this cafe and instantly was drawn into the vibes! I loved seeing the motor art and vintage cars in the back. The place was bright and modern and they offered an array of bottled juices and sparkling water etc. The pastry selection was limited when I got there in the late afternoon probably because of a typical morning rush. I would come back for the coffee.

L: Vanilla latte, R: Outer sunset match cold brew

===TL;DR=== - Vanilla latte - Outer sunset match cold brew (speciality drink) ===TMI=== Well well well, finally paid a visit after the hype died down a little so I can actually step foot inside. Though, inside was still packed with folks and most seats were taken. But let's face it, we're all here to take a look at the gorgeous 1970s BMW (at least on the day that I went it was) and the 80-90s Honda Acty truck that's now conveniently converted into a hybrid cafe desk. I loved everything about the interior setup - from the atypical seat arrangement to playful furnitures like the iconic Ikea green Dyvlinge swivel chair to seats you'll see on an airplane. Also very considerate to have standing bar tables for a quick grab and go. Oh right, about the coffee. For a boujee aesthetic coffee shop, the coffee was actually good -gasp-, I know, shocker. But I'm glad b/c I feel like we need more of these types of coffee shops around! Lastly, don't forget to check out their merchandise section in the back. I loved all of their car pins and I can stand there and flip through their Japanese art and travel books forever.

This place has a great ambiance, and I'm highly tempted to get a membership to have access to the rest of the office space to work from home. Since it was recently my first time here, I went for my go to: Espresso Tonic, 8/10 - this was pretty solid. I was pretty wired for the rest of the day haha There's a moderate amount of seating and some standing table areas available. I would say there are better places to study or do work, but I would stop in again if I was in the area. I'll have to come try a different drink next time.

hot mocha/vanilla latte and iced chai latte

Went on a weekday morning and it wasn't super super busy. I love how the back of the truck was a table and found out they rotate featured cars on display, which is pretty cool!! I do think the chair is a little bit too high for that table. There aren't a lot of seatings and they do fill up quickly!! They also have a gift shop section filled with clothes and other cool items. We got the hot mocha, iced chai latte, and hot vanilla latte. It was okay, nothing special. Don't really recommend the chai latte, it tasted a bit watered down. I do like that they don't charge extra for milk alternatives. Overall, this is a good place to either socialize/catch up or to study. I do wish their event venue area was open to the public tho!

Motoring coffee was such a fun, and different coffee shop experience they had actual vehicles in their coffee shop. I got the ice matcha latte and the flavor was not too strong but tasted very good. I just couldn't get enough of the layout and concept of this coffee shop. Definitely sets itself apart from Others ones especially in SF. Parking is a tad bit difficult but the staff was very friendly .
