Have been meaning to try this place & so glad we finally did! The coffee was great, and the service was also good. The real kicker here is the inside, it's very cute and has a decent amount of seating! Great area as well, will definitely be back :)

First time in, also first time in the city. I ordered a chai latte and 2 vanilla lattes. The cashier didn't ask if i wanted it iced or hot and i didn't think about it, but i did want it iced. it came out hot...which is completely fine because there was no communication on that part. The designs were super cute on top of the coffees. i just decided to get cups of ice just to make it work and the woman who i asked says "next time order it iced at the front" in an extremely condescending tone. usually id take the constructive criticism...but i also work in customer service and it really doesn't take much to just pour the cups of ice and just roll with it. i understand its busy, but the last thing i wanna start my morning with is a rude ass barista.

Great coffee but not a lot of seats available. They have their regular menu full of your regular drinks and seasonal specials. I went for the outer sunset cold brew. It came with orange syrup and a vanilla cold foam. A solid drink. Not too sweet. The foam cuts the acidity of the orange. Very balanced. Would come back and try other drinks. However, will most likely be getting takeout as seats were hard to get. They also have a little section that sells merch, which is pretty cute and kills a little bit of time while you wait for the restroom.

I found out about this place because of Mayor Lurie's insta. He's out here every day promoting our city, the different businesses, events, etc. Does that remind you of anyone you know? (Hint: Hi to all my Yelp Elite Friends!) So this place is so cool! Classic Cars on rotation display. Coffee, teas, and pastries. A membership only lounge in the back. This is their second location. First one located in Los Angeles. On this particular visit, I got a Flat White (delicious), a juice drink and some merch for my husband. He was quite pleased with my surprise gift. Service friendly. Located on Union and Van Ness.

Cute cafe with a rotating feature car on display inside. I usually see long lines when I pass by in the afternoon, but there was no line at 7:40am on a Sunday. There are a few seats & tables inside, and some people were working on their laptops. We tried two of the specialty drinks - I liked the Redline (a lightly spiced hot cappuccino with a smoky finish), but thought the Traction Control (Nekohama matcha latte with housemade blueberry syrup) was a bit too sweet. Service was friendly and fast. We were able to find street parking nearby.

VERY sweet workers and VERY pretty place but unfortunately this is lowkey only for aesthetic purposes cause the drinks are ass LMFAO. Dirty chai was really gross and so was the matcha.. Hot chocolate was amazing tho!!

I loved the outer sunset matcha here. The orange cold foam was surprisingly delicious and paired really nicely with their matcha, which was creamy and smooth. This place is certainly vibey with the cool car decor, and there's some seats but it's always insanely full on the weekend and just way too cramped. They have a section in the back reserved for members behind a glass door though I've never seen anyone in there... wish there was more seating for us regular folks :)

What a cool coffee shop, I love the car themed decor. They also sell some of their branded merch and other cute items. I went in the morning with a friend and ordered a latte and a pistachio raspberry crossiant. My friend and I really enjoyed our lattes, it tasted great. The crossiant was okay, wouldn't order again. Service was quick and friendly, even though they were steadily busy. We were able to find parking right in front and it looks like street parking is the only option, if you drive over here. They also have events sometimes and a private car club. I'll definitely be back to try some other drinks!

Happened to be in SF and passed this cute coffee shop. My niece said she saw it on TikTok and wondered why I haven't seen it. Lots of space for people to work. The small truck turned into table for workspace is pretty creative! Just wanted to try a little something and got a cortado. Their merch is cute! They have huge space in back to rent out and/or maybe if and when it gets crowded.

The matcha was decent here, but not the best in the city or the area in my opinion. We came here to work for a couple hours on a Friday afternoon and were able to get a table to sit at. The space is pretty big, and while it did fill up, it was never super loud.

Really good coffee and chai. The cars and decor is super cool. The only comment is that when we walked in, it felt like the patrons were judging us. I can't describe how, but it felt very elitist. Maybe because we came to the coffee shop for coffee and not to work on our laptops. Even though that energy was weird, the coffee was good enough to return one day.

Hot and Iced Matcha Latte with Oat Milk

Came here after seeing it on social media for the longest time, and the aesthetic definitely outshines their drinks by a long shot. We came at around 1pm and there was a line out the door, but it moved pretty quickly. We got a hot and iced matcha latte with oat milk and simple syrup. We appreciate that there was no upcharge for alternative milk, and were told that we could also do vanilla or honey to sweeten our matcha. Both of our matchas were extremely milky, and had little to no matcha flavor. We couldn't finish the whole thing because it felt like we were just drinking oat milk. The ambiance is cute and retro inside, and as someone who isn't the biggest coffee fan, that is the only saving grace for this place. I do not plan on returning.

I was excited to finally stop at Motoring Coffee on a sunny Sunday and loved the drinks and ambiance. I got the orange espresso spritz and my friend got the matcha mojito. Both were delicious and I loved the orange espresso spritz with a sweet tart orange syrup which paired well with the bitter espresso. The matcha mojito was super refreshing with the limeade and not too sweet. The vibe is super unique and fun with antique cars and even plane seats to sit in. There were some people working and catching up with friends as well so it can get busy but overall a nice spot to relax in for a bit.

DO NOT PAY FOR DELIVERY…read more We paid extra to have our order delivered to our hotel and used the restaurant's order-ahead option. We scheduled the delivery for 9:20 a.m., but by 8:40 a.m. the app showed it had already been delivered. The problem? There was no food at our hotel room. I tried contacting the delivery driver by text, but never received a response. It was incredibly frustrating, especially after leaving a generous tip. We later found out the driver had left the food at the hotel but never told the front desk which room it was for, even though they had all of the delivery information. As a result, our food just sat there until we eventually had to go down and get it ourselves. In the end, I paid for a delivery service that I never actually received. Instead of enjoying the convenience we paid for, we had to track down our own order. Based on this experience, I would not recommend paying for delivery. If you're ordering from this restaurant, save your money and pick it up yourself. I paid for a service, but I did not receive what I paid for. Then to make it worse the breakfast sandwich was just OK. Nothing to write home to mom about. To say the least we will not be ordering her again and would not recommend this restaurant.

So we got an extra drink for free. Trying the iced latte, it was pretty disappointing lol. I thought it would be similar to like a Hawaiian style latte with macadamia milk, but it was a lot lighter than I thought. It was definitely very nutty, but it also just tasted like water down latte. Honestly not much going on with the drink, but it does taste lighter in general. Crazy have to pay $1.50 more to add on this milk. Overall, its alright. I do like the natural lighting coming into the shop, but nothing too special.

The smiling server realized I was confused and pointed to the signature menu on the wall. I thought I should start basic and order the $7.25 Iced Kopi Pandan, a tantalizing mix of dark single-origin espresso, housemade pandan syrup, and almond milk over ice (Photo 8). It was delicious, maybe a tad too sweet for me as the pandan lent a pronounced vanilla-like flavor. The same flavor was more effectively applied to the $6 slice of Pandan Bread which I saw waiting for me to order on the counter (Photo 9).
