We stayed around the corner from Er Faciolaro both times we've come to Rome. This trip, we ate here 4 times. Everything we've tried has been delicious. My favorite is the lasagna. It's so creamy with plenty of cheese and meat sauce. We've had seafood pasta , fettuccine ala bolognese, spaghetti and meatballs, roasted potatoes, sautéed spinach, salad and crème brûlée that is caramelized at the table. The staff is amazing, friendly and responsive and the atmosphere is like eating with family or friends. I've added pictures of the menu. It's reasonably priced, we get a bottle of house wine and our total for two people has been between €75 & €85.

This is our first trip to Rome and we were fortunate to have walked by Er Faciolaro and talked into a sidewalk table by Daniel one of the family members who run this restaurant. He was wonderful and made you feel very welcome. Johnny was our waiter. He was very friendly and attentive. His recommendations were spot on. We had their aged steak and catch of the day specials. Both were delicious. We were treated to limoncello and small pistachio cream filled pastries for dessert. Excellent!!! Several couples around us said this was one of their favorite restaurants in Rome. We'll go back to have their pizza which looked and smelled wonderful.

    Cheers!

We came here as a family on our trip to Rome, and it ended up being one of the most memorable evenings of our vacation. The food was outstanding every plate was well prepared but what really stood out was the service. Daniel went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, and the whole team was warm, attentive, and genuinely joyful in what they do. As parents traveling with kids, we really appreciated the comfortable air-conditioned dining room and how welcoming the staff was to our family. At the end of the night, we were surprised with incredible desserts that made the evening even more special. If you're looking not just for a good meal but for an experience you'll talk about long after your trip, this is the place. Professional service, amazing food, and a spirit of hospitality that makes you feel at home highly recommend!

Great dinner at Er Faciolaro. We started not to go but kept on walking. Glad we did. We arrived and were graciously welcomed. The place was very crowded inside but had a great vibe. As we had eaten here on previous visits we hoped we remembered how good it was. And we did. We ordered lightly...Pasta with a Meat Ragu, an order of Fried Artichokes, and an order or Focaccia. We realized that the pasta dish was going to be huge and it was. Therefore we shared all of the food. The ragu meat sauce was superb. The dish came out piping hot and beautifully plated...not for long. The fried artichokes were equally as beautiful. They were smart serving them on paper on the plate as the paper absorbed the grease they were fried in. Great idea. The focaccia had a great taste but it could have been a little softer for me. But that is me. I like soft bread things. The tastes of everything were great. Complimentary limoncello was served. I could have sat there all night with their homemade batch. Much better than the store bought stuff. Service was great. The whole staff was a friendly as can be. The atmosphere was lively. Lots of groups - a mixture of locals and tourists. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

This restaurant is amazing. We've been coming here for the past six years. My youngest son proposed to his now wife two years ago as well. Daniel and his staff treats us like we are family every time we arrive. The food is outrageous. The ambience is second to none.

MAN I love this place... Daniel and Johnny are Awesome. We were in Rome for a week and went to dinner here twice. I had been here 9 years ago and remembered how great it was. YES this is a touristy area. BUT it's not a touristy type meal. The food is awesome. the location is perfect BUT way better than that is the team. Daniel and the guys want you to enjoy it from the food to the atmosphere. It's just a great place to dine. I will go back every time I'm in Rome...

When you're in the hustle and bustle of high tourist season around the Pantheon and Trevi fountain, you may want to grab a bite at Er Faciolaro, the place is a little touristy however, the food was very good, service was excellent. It's definitely notches above the restaurants with the placard pictures of food displayed out front. The wine recommendation was excellent. It definitely caters to tourist, but they do a good job.

Daniel and his staff were very welcoming and made our time in Rome even more amazing. We had dinner and drinks 2 nights in a row and sat along the open walkway. The limoncello spritz was refreshing and not too tart or sweet. The charcuterie was delicious and the prices were very reasonable considering the portion sizes, quality and location in Rome. This will be on my 'must do' list for next time.

In 2017 the food was so delicious, that's why I'm back, October 2024

First of all, the ambiance was get sitting on the cobblestone street on a very popular street. The service was amazing. Tony greeted us with a great table, then Beckem, the waiter just treated us so well. All suggestions we're perfect. He brought us out with such great presentation and personality. Made a birthday dinner very special. Desert was brought out and sang with the other waiters. Lots of extras too. The food was prepared to perfection and the most delicious meal we have had in Rome. Can't tell you enough but this place is a must do while in Rome. Thank you team and Beckham.

Daniel, the son of the chef and part owner was gracious and conversational and made great recommendations for our dinner. We started with a crispy sage leaf appetizer made simply with sage leaves lightly battered and fried in olive oil. Yummy! All of the pasta is made fresh and Mary selected Ravioli ricotta e Spinach while I selected Saltimbocca alla romana (Veal slices in Roman style) and both dishes were delicious. After dinner we opted out of dessert, but Daniel brought a treat to the table consisting of two sugar coated cookies and suggested we soaking them in our wine as a final treat. They were Wonderful! So far one of the best meals we have had in Rome. We would both highly recommend this restaurant, both for the family atmosphere and the great food. We hope to return before leaving Rome.

Review # 1200 After…read moresome shopping on the Via cola Di Riemzo, we were ready for lunch. This spot was a Yelp find. We arrived just before they opened at 12:30. We asked for a table outside and the kind lady asked us if we had a reservation (oh oh). We didn't. No problem as we took our pick of one of the tables. Two levels inside with a small Bar in the back. Before we knew it, outside seating was full and inside also filled up-a good sign. We ordered a liter (ended up being too much but when in Rome...) of their house Red and enjoyed it. For starters, we ordered the Fried Artichokes (thick breading and will order the Roman style with garlic/vinegar next time), fried Zucchini and Suppli-Cacio Pepe. The Suppli was delicious and was enjoyed the most. For main, it was Pasta Carbonara (Guanciale )-Proper carbonara and the streak of not having a bad version of this dish in Rome continues. The sliced Beef with mushrooms was also delicious -super tender and thin pieces of beef (medium rare as requested). We asked if the Tiramisu was house-made. Our server answered, "yes, and I am the one who makes it." How could we not order after that?! One of the best Tiramisus we've had. Perfect balance of coffee dipped lady fingers with cream-delicious! Our Server was kind, attentive and full of hustle -she was covering a lot of ground. Don't miss this Gem if you are in the Prati district.

Show up right at opening if you want to secure a table immediately, as this local treasure fills up incredibly fast! We started with the artichoke, which was quite possibly the best artichoke I've ever tasted in my life. Ubelievably tender and served bathed in rich olive oil that elevated every single bite. The Amatriciana was my personal favorite dish of the night, featuring a rich red sauce packed with a subtle kick of heat and finished with a generous dusting of fresh Parmesan. The stuffed chicken was remarkably tender, juicy, and wonderfully seasoned with delicate flavors that don't overpower. Lastly, the lasagna was everything a classic lasagna should be: wonderfully cheesy and deeply comforting, yet light enough that it doesn't weigh you down.
