I entered on a Tuesday, 2 PM. No customers. My first time, so I asked the very young counter guy to explain the choices. He did OK. I picked my sandwich. The guy's customer service showed that he was bored', did not have eye contact, and hated his job. As I turned to leave, the counter guy went to a booth where 2 employees were seated. I asked if there was a manager available. There was. As I was relating my poor customer service, the counter guy got up and walked out of the building. Little did I know he already was on the hot seat and ready to be fired. My timing and comments lead to his immediate firing. I was impressed with how this was handled by management. The mgmt offered me a 'bonus' to be used in the future. Erbert & Gerbert's has excellent quality. I'm impressed that they also want to have good customer service. read more

We walked in, the workers was on her phone talking about someone freaking out? The women in front of us stormed out, the worker didn't care. We just left and the worker never got off her phone call. Never coming back to this specific location. read more

Erbert & Gerbert's rocks, and how many times can you say you've been to a sandwich shop where all the subs are named after fictitious characters?? Seriously - this place is leaps and bounds ahead of Subway, Jimmy John's or anything else competing in the area, and I'll tell ya why. Their sandwiches are inventive and delicious, no two are similar in what's on them, and they're made with deliciously fresh ingredients. I love the Titan, it has a pesto mayo spread with turkey, cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, cucumber and more! The Apollo is probably my close second, there's something about that citrus barbecue flavor you can't get out of your head. The restaurant is pretty cute on the inside, the staff is usually really friendly, and it's nice and clean inside. THEY ALSO DELIVER ALL THE TIME AND ARE OPEN LATE. For my taste the variety and quality is not as good here as other sandwich chains. I guess I just like to pick my veggies.

I ordered the Titan and my wife ordered her own (she's picky and takes just about everything off her sand which and replaces it with others). We both wanted a sandwich but have been on the road too long so didn't want another Subway. Our sandwiches were SO GOOD. Very flavorful. We ordered a soup too and they through in some bread which was wrapped with the sandwich (not sure if it's for the soup or for soaking up any moisture from the sandwich). But that bread was great with the soup. AND I was pleased they delivered! A tip, I think the menu under "explore menu" is out of date. But the URL to their website worked and I ordered off that. read more

Passing through on our way from Milwaukee to the Twin Cities we needed a lunch stop. I did not want another Subway sandwich or other chain fast food. We meandered around a few Eau Claire streets before finding Erbert & Gerberts. Love the story telling theme - reminded us of the Adam Sandler movie "Bedtime Stories". The sandwiches were fresh and flavorful. Much better than Subway! The tables could have been wiped down but there was a help wanted sign in the window. We stopped by during summer break for the college so it was very quiet in town. A couple more weeks and the place will probably be much busier and the help wanted sign will be removed and hopefully the new hire will be wiping down the tables. read more

Order was wrong. Soup was ice cold and took delivery twice the time the qouted. Driver didn't even follow directions for what door to use.

I eat a lot of sandwiches on the road, and am always looking for the best chain. Currently, Jersey Mike's subs holds the title of best sub, followed by Pot Bellys, and Jimmy Johns. Erbert and Gerbert falls in line behind those options. Its a good sandwich, but nothing really special. No unique sandwich options ... nothing really to rave about except if your are craving a sandwich, you can pick up a turkey sub here. read more

I called this store recently to ask for catering to our company, I did not even get half way done with my first sentence of introducing myself when the manager, Kevin, rudely interrupted me. He told me "this is a restaurant, it is lunch hour I do not have time for this you need to call later" and hung up. This store has lost our business. read more

The Narmer sandwich is just about the most perfect sandwich ever made. The bread at Erbert's and Gerbert's blows Subway out of the water. When I'm hungry for a sub, my mouth waters for the Narmer. read more

With subway right down the road I have no idea why anyone would go here. The meat is slimy and taste fake and they only give you two slices of meat....overall I was very disappointed with my experience here. I will definitely not be returning. read more

Excellent subs and their bread is quite delicious! I am not usually a sub sandwich patron but I definitely will eat here again! They are worth what they charge as I was filled up after earning my sandwich. read more
