This place is a joke. We all know the prices are high at this place and why they are because everything is organic I get it. I got in line to get a slice of pizza just cheese pizza. It took over 10 minutes to even get my order in and there was no one even in front of me. I was the one in line. The girl said I'll be right back. She left with another girl and never came back. Then another girl came over and said can I help you? I said yeah I'm trying to get a slice of cheese pizza. OK hold on a minute then another girl comes over. same story took three different girls to make me wait 10 minutes to get a slice of cheese pizza. I did tell the manager about my experience and he told me that was not right and they should not have done that to me. either way, I know that will make plenty of money without my business, but I do think it's quite ridiculous. I love Erewhon! The premade foods are the absolute best, the drink selection is incredibly unique, and there's always a ton of things I simply must have! My go to's are the sushi-- it's always ridiculously tasty, the ponzu salmon is shockingly excellent, the dolmas are delicious, and the golden beet salad is drool worthy. Such a fan, plus it's just so easy. There's a section for a variety of sushi, too, but I've found that their rice is pretty hard and stale even when fresh. On thanksgiving, this place is a hit. You can get a plate of whatever goodness you'd like without the mess and hassle of shopping and cooking. At the same time, such convenience and quality comes at a hefty price. Erewhon is much more expensive than the likes of Ralph's, Sprouts, Whole Foods and Gelson's. The staff here have always been nice and helpful with me. George, one of the managers, went out of his way to help me choose the right juices to stay on top of it. As a civilian aka someone with two jobs and not a millionaire. I think this is a cool place to visit if it's not out the way. Somethings are affordable and they even have sales. I tried one of the infamous smoothies and it was good. But not $20 dollars good, I have made better ones or purchased better ones for way cheaper. The hot bar food was good but still not the best ever. So if you are curious try it out but if its too much work to get there or out of your budget. You are not missing out. I am an Erewhon girly now! I'm the kind of gal were grocery shopping is self care and something I look forward to every week. So when it comes to rating a grocery store / market I take the task at hand very seriously. I'd driven by Erewhon so many times and it wasn't until I started seeing all of the social media hype that I realized this spot would likely be right up my alley and worth a try. Came back on the weekend with a friend and I was instantly sold. Erewhon is a brand in itself and the aesthetic is everything, total 10/10 for organization, cleanliness, and the showcasing of the products. I like that you can actually see what your buying. Every shelf is organized and labels facing forward. Glass bottles everywhere - for the drinks, nuts, dressings, you name it. I found that the products were all very unique and quality ingredients. A great substitute for a Whole Foods or Gelsons. The price also seemed comparable in my opinion to any upper scale grocer. Is it expensive? Definitely, but again no more then what you'd likely already be accustomed to if you shop at higher end markets. The staff here were very friendly and welcoming. I had wrongly assumed there could be some pretentiousness from the staff (just because of the neighborhood and other shoppers kinda give off that vibe) but I found everyone to be super nice and helpful that worked here. I was impressed and really just sensed that this is an awesome company to work for based on the staffs attitude and smile on their face type of vibe. I love the premade sushi bar here and smoothie bar. Aside from groceries to make meals at home, my friend and I dined here after purchasing our groceries. My strawberry glaze smoothie was a 10/10, which it should be for $18. Also the spicy tuna on crispy rice was another $18 but again, another 10/10. You can easily spend $40-$60 just on grubbing inside. Price point is a little wild to not be at a sit down restaurant with full service but I really enjoyed my meal and drink that I'd happily order it all again. It's a splurge that I can get behind. Erewhon is everything right about the LA hype grocery scene and I'm a new - happy customer moving forward. Stopped here with my husband during a semi-long drive when we needed a pit-stop. Restroom was easy to find. Store is very clean and nicely laid out, with a very hip selection of foods including some that are sold to you in glass jars, I guess the point being to avoid plastics? (There was still tons of plastic everywhere so I'm not sure.) Floral looked really nice, as did the prepared foods. The meats section was particularly interesting. For the most part the prices dissuaded me, but if there was something special I was specifically looking for, I think this store would be a good place to try. read more

I've always loved Erewhon as a kid, but now that I'm old enough to drive and pay my own bills, I've officially formulated more of an all-encompassing opinion about the different locations. Calabasas is one I always turn back to, even though it is smaller. The cashiers are always really nice and I have great experiences with conversing with them (tbh I can't say the same about Silver Lake). Food-wise, I know what I like and I stick with them. The hot bar food are seriously where it's at! I always end up purchasing the Giselle's Vegan Kitchen protein bars and usually a refreshing gut-healthy drink. I will say this: don't trust their international takes on dishes to be 100% authentic, exhibit miracle noodle japchae. Other than that, I wish I had more time to eat outside the patio because it genuinely is a nice location! It's on the slightly smaller side but that's what makes it more special to me! read more

LOVED our visits to Erewhon during my staycation in Malibu. The store is clean and I was impressed by the variety of cold pressed juices, bone broths, and prepped foods. Most of all, I really enjoyed the Hailey Bieber smoothie. It was delicious and I'm already wishing I could go back for more. The soft serve was great too, but the smoothie was top-tier for me. The only downside to Erewhon are the steep prices. Always a pleasure shopping at Erewhon. The store is laid out well and their produce is bountiful, fresh and beautifully presented. Have never left feeling disappointed because every section's shelves are fully stocked with all of my favorites as well as specialty items I haven't seen anywhere else. Customer service is important to them. Their clerks provide information or assistance with courtesy and smile, and checkout is a breeze. Would be nice to have an Erewhon up here in SLO county, but for now shopping there is one of the perks of our visits to the Valley. read more

Came here for the infamous Hailey Bieber smoothie. My friend ordered ahead on the app which was a great choice as we arrived at lunch time and there was already a line. The store was clean and there appeared to be a lot of staff busy helping customers and keeping things running. A staff member helped us grab our smoothies and we left. The smoothie itself was phenomenal and while i won't get it frequently due to the price, it will be a nice treat to have every so often. read more

My friend and I went here because we wanted to see what the hype was about with their hot bar and smoothies. We had to wait in 2 separate lines, one for the hot bar and one for the smoothies. I didn't mind the wait because I wasn't in any sort of rush, but it probably took around 30-40 mins to get everything. The food was actually really flavorful but I think it would've been better if it was served actually hot instead of lukewarm. A grocery store that flirts with your bank account and makes you question if it's worth it. Erewhon is exactly as extra as you've heard and yet, I find myself going back. Not every day, not religiously, but often enough that I signed up for the membership. The 10% back and monthly free smoothie actually do pay for the membership... assuming the smoothie tastes good. (Last month's freebie? Let's just say it tasted like an artistic interpretation of what an algae smoothie could taste like.) Members should be able to choose between their newest drink and at least one other option. It should feel like a perk... something to look forward to. That aside, there's a lot I genuinely like here. The hot food bar is tasty and dependable. My daughter loves the buffalo cauliflower, and I'm low-key obsessed with the ponzu salmon noodle salad from the packaged section. It tastes like something you'd get at a nice sit-down spot, and it's a great value for the quality. Triangle rice balls? Fresh and they don't skimp on the fish. They are well priced for what you get. Calabasas is my favorite location- clean, big, well-organized, and the staff restocks things fast. I've also noticed they're on top of quality control. I've seen them toss anything even slightly off, which I appreciate. Also: their pumpkin pie slices are excellent and huge, and whoever is sourcing their strawberries deserves a medal. These aren't the viral $20-per-piece Japanese imports they had earlier this year, but they're shockingly close in taste- sweet, fragrant, and better than almost any strawberry I've had in the U.S. So yes, it's expensive. And yes, you'll question your life choices while paying $19.99 for a wellness drink. But once in a while? You tell yourself you are worthy. read more

The ppl that come early Saturday with their kids are just as mannerless they will allow them to run around and even be breathing all over the samples.
