Quick stop at this Trader Joe's to grab snacks for our friend. The store is big, really well organized, and easy to shop. Plenty of parking which is great. Employees were super nice and helpful. I noticed they've got way more cheeses than my usual Trader Joe's - saw Comte and Fromage Pavé (my local TD said it's seasonal). Nice surprise had to get some! Solid stop, nothing fancy but good stuff and easy in-and-out. Would definitely come back when I'm in the area. read more

Another successful trip to TRADER JOE's in Agoura Hills, CA. We love our neighborhood TJ's! Especially when there's a new tote bag drop! Hehe. On a few occasions I didn't even know there was a new release, and when I walked in they were front and center, fully stocked and no lines!!! I just love that this location is not extremely busy as other locations, so whenever I shop I feel like I have the entire store to myself. It is always bright and clean, with plenty of space for multiple carts and customers in the same section. I'm never really disappointed in anything that I buy and truly believe the products are of great value! The plant and flower selection is always lovely, the bath & body products always pique my interest, especially when lavender is in season, the growing Asian selection of foods and spices are excellent these days, and the mini frozen ice cream options are my favorite for an after-dinner sweet treat! read more

They must not see many minorities here. The vibe is off and Ive been to Traders from Ventura to LA. I have to use this location because its close to work. If I could avoid it I would. My presence seems to bother them, funny looks in- genuine responses. Some of the staff in Ventura are so well at their jobs they know you by name, ask about your kids etc. I dont see the quality of service ever getting to this point here. read more

This is hands down the most convenient TJ's I have run into. Why? It was about 100 feet from our hotel. The staff was friendly and it was much bigger than the one we frequent. The staff was typical TJ's friendly and it was well stocked. As a bonus they had a random beer from Guatemala that my son introduced me too. Parking looks to be a bit tight if its crowded but I was on foot so no problem. read more

I absolutely love Trader Joe's! They have such a wide, colorful, and interesting selection. One important tip: if you see anything labeled "Limited Edition",grab it right away! It disappears fast. Recently, I saw the viral mini colorful tote bags. I was with a friend and in a rush, so I figured I'd get them next time . Well... poof!! they were gone! Demand was so high that they even limited it to 4 tote bags per customer. I came back a few times and still couldn't find them, but the kind employees told me they'd be restocked soon, so I kept checking. When they finally arrived, I bought all the colors! :)) A few of my go-to recommendations: The orzo salad (ready to eat), love it! The vegetarian sushi, super fresh and tasty. The Greek salad has a simple but amazing dressing. Don't skip the Bulgarian cheese imported from Greece, so, so good. (Spoken as a true cheese lover ) Also: Tip- the orchids there are wow! Beautiful and vibrant, a perfect gift to bring when you're invited for dinner or visiting someone's home. Great value for money too! The staff is always friendly in every location I've visited, and at the Calabasas branch, they already know me Recommendations for kids: and hey, I'm a kid sometimes too Look for the hidden plush toy in the store, if you find it, you'll get a surprise! (The watermelon candy is so good, OMG) Ask for stickers! I love collecting them they're so cute and well-designed. And of course... Trader Joe's churros!! I also recently met someone wonderful who works at Trader Joe's -- we were at a fun poolside cookout with friends. He's an absolute pro and knew all the best Trader Joe's items. He brought tons of bags filled with TJ goodies, cooked up a storm, and turned it into a beautiful celebration. Can't wait to get more tips from him soon! And on a more reflective note -- I once met the CEO at a leadership event I'm part of, and I could see how thoughtful and smart the entire vision behind Trader Joe's really is. Why some TJ staff are so conceited? I have been a Trader Joe's shopper for a very long time. I prefer to shop at stores that have self-checkout, so I don't get bothered by cashiers' moods and rudeness. But there is no such option at TJs. I have been at this location only twice. The first time the cashier, a young woman, was super nice. The second time, the cashier, a young man, wouldn't even respond to my thanks for him helping me. No usual TJ banter, such as "did you find everything alright," the guy just seemed bothered that a shopper dropped by his station. This is so wrong in so many ways. Really shameful of TJs not providing better training. Trader Joe's is not a mom-and-pop store. They are a 17 billion dollar a year conglomerate that pretends to be folksy. This is hands down the best Trader Joe's! Now that Jinky's is closed, parking is never an issue. Unlike other locations, this store never feels overcrowded--I can actually take my time browsing and checking out all the new items. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and I appreciate that their egg prices have remained reasonable. Plus, I can always find their popular items in stock, like the mini insulated bags. I recently moved so I've been getting acquainted with all the go-to spots in the neighborhood. This Trader Joe's is GREAT! I honestly have no complaints. For so many years it's been such a hassle to even park at a TJs haha but out here- it's splendid! The one in Calabasas is good too but I have found myself going to this location more often. Patiently waited 30 minutes outside to get the mini totes today only to have certain cashiers serve their friends/favorite customer(s) first while I stood in line to pay. Admittedly, there were plenty of bags to go around. However, I didn't like that some employees weren't fair and doing first in first out as it should be. I think one of the best Trader Joes that I have been so far. I love their variety of meet, fruits and fish/smocked fish. Usually I go to Glendale location but we were staying at Homewood suites next door so it was very convenient to buy groceries there. Its such a big difference. Our store in Glendale is cramped, parking is much smaller, and selection is worse. I was surprised to find smocked tuna, nice selection of meet, natural chicken sausages ( we dont have this one in Glendale) and other stuff as well. read more

One of the best T.J's around my son and I were coming back from the Valley, just needed a place to rest have never been to this traders has its on a hill. Awesome stocked and so friendly got some pre-made salad stuff and drinks to eat in the car. It was awesome and I wish the Traders in our town (Camarillo) was like this one. I went to Camarillo Traders yesterday and most everything I wanted was OUT OF STOCK. Expired dates on stuff etc. I will never forget that day at the Traders in Agoura it was so healing for us. Trader Joe's is always great but this location is particularly great. Firstly, it's in a nice area, so it feels safe and everything is really clean. Bonus: parking is easy. Today's experience was exceptional. During this pandemic, they had taped off 6 feet for people to clearly see. They put up umbrellas to keep the customers cool and even offered everybody water. They then cleaned every cart before allowing each customer to take one. They only allowed a small portion of people enter at a time so that everyone can remain at safe distances. I am somewhat of a Trader Joe's fanatic and I tend to like most of them, even despite the crowded aisles and small parking lots. But this location is the MECCA of all Trader Joe's. It's like a Costco-size Trader Joe's and the aisles are SO SPACIOUS. They also have such a great selection of everything - flowers, seasonal items, cheese, veggies, you name it. All of my favorites were in stock and new items I had never seen before! Also, got to the checkout and there wasn't even a line. NOT EVEN A LINE. I live like 30 minutes away but I will probably come back to this location as often as I can. Really, great and helpful employees as well. Love this Trader Joe's the most. read more

Dear Hubby and I made a shopping run for a dear friend who's going through a tough time right now. I'd offered to help, and she asked if I could pick up the items on her Trader Joe's list. Fortunately, she gave great info on which items she wanted. Was able to move through the produce, deli, and meat areas easily. DH found most of the packaged goods. We were making good team progress getting through the list. When we did need help finding an item, the friendly associates made sure we were directed to what we were seeking. A+ on the service! Checkout went well, too. The cashier was very personable. The store was really busy on a Saturday evening (date night at TJ's??). Getting around inside still went pretty smoothly. The parking lot was borderline treacherous, though. It's tight, and people seem frantic making their way around. Was glad when we escaped the confines of the lot! read more

So I read or heard somewhere that the employees of Trader Joe's are trained to artistically flirt with you. I don't know how true this is , but I will say that the employees at this location make you feel really friggn nice bc they are sooo nice and all around good vibes/good energy. Makes you have a little faith in humanity that not everyone is a goober. This store has a nice selection and right now all the pumpkin things are available. I even picked up this cheese seasoning - new to me-and now I'm living life bc before this cheese I really wasn't. The only reason why this store doesn't get 5 stars is because the parking and the price of the pumpkins. Parking is a mess on the weekend but during the week it can be manageable. We have bad customer service in some places they don't know what are doing, some places they are not prepared and some places other issues but here they are simply rude disrespectful and obnoxious. I love Trader Joe's products but since the pandemic and the Covid issue they had, it is getting very unbearable. I am 52 and the guy at the counter insisted to see me ID for a bottle of wine, I don't mind following the rules but don't treat me as I am a teenager that wants to give you a fake ID and you caught him red handed. I spend my time split between two SoCalities. Honestly, in my adult life, there've been many more. I got hooked on Trader Joe's 30 years ago when I'd schedule time to stop in Ventura on my way back to Santa Barbara. I've never lost my love for Trader Joe's even when I lived in other parts of our great country that TJ's hadn't conquered yet. Fast forward to today and the Agoura Hills location has my all-time vote for best local store! Yes parking can be a bit challenging at times but that is the truth for each and every location that I've ever known. TRIVIA: on weekends at this location TJ's crew members park offsite (next to the Agoura Post Office) and even in El Niño storms have to walk to and from work. Why is the Agoura TJ's my all-time favorite? I love the staff for their smiles (they truly seem to love their jobs), I rarely wait in a checkout line longer than 3 deep & magically they appear to have widened their aisles and reduced the crushing gridlock I experience at other locations throughout the SF & Conejo Valleys. read more

I mostly like this location! The only thing is the traffic here to get in and out. It's a very busy street and no stop light! Have to be extra careful when exiting and or entering from the store! Also this location could benefit from a parking lot guard like other locations have. It's a very busy location with a smaller parking lot, and it's by a homewood suites Hotel, so there's hotel traffic. Other than that, this location in particular has the freshest assortment of berries and veggies! Also it's very well stocked in general! The staff is nice and helpful and there's always someone around in the aisles if you have a question. One of my favorite items to purchase here is the gluten free cupcakes! Omg! It's the second closest to where I live, and also my second favorite to the Westlake Village store. It has all the failures other locations, though, terrible parking leaves your life on the line, every time. The positives: knowledgeable, always someone near to ask, hot samples, well-stocked, lines are kept below 3 people, very friendly cashiers and staff, and very responsible and nice management. Overall, it's a great experience and one of the best locations I've shopped at with lots of space between aisles. Freeway close, and that's what you call -- convenient! read more
