The first time our order took 90 mins to arrive bc they said they don't have drivers available when you order via their app. Later we ordered via postmates and we're missing a $20 item of carne asada. We were denied a refund from Postmates. No apology from Erewhon when I called. Poor customer service. No quality check. Never again. 0 stars. Think of this place as a Whole Foods but like ten times more boujee, as in more than half of the store didn't even showcase the pricing of what you're purchasing. I had no problem buying it, but not everyone who shops their can afford a higher price tag on items you could find at other healthy food stores for a lot cheaper. When you get to the cashier, just don't let your jaw drop when they tell you, you owe $30 on three things... I did however like how it was organic and had in-house items straight from Erewhon themselves. Which in fact I did grab one of their fresh smoothies in a glass jar that you can bring back to them and do their recycling program to get money back. I also grabbed some food to eat in the grab and go section of the store, near the made to order food. Everything was fresh, the store was clean and the staff was friendly. erewhon is super trendy on social media, especially with their hailey bieber smoothies, so when i was visiting southern california, i had to check it out and try the smoothie. honestly, it was worth the hype. the smoothie was so refreshing and tasted like a strawberry and cream dream. the coconut foam really stood out to me--it was so good, refreshing, and creamy, and i could honestly just eat the coconut foam by itself. it took about 10 minutes to prepare, and the place was relatively busy, even at night. i enjoyed walking through the store and picked up a few items as souvenirs. honestly, for $17, i don't know if it's worth the price, but i was happy to try it;. i usually like strawberry-flavored items, and this one didn't disappoint. however, the price is a bit steep, so i probably wouldn't get it again, but i'd be interested in trying something else on the menu for variety. the food there looked incredible too, though it's also pretty expensive, so just keep the prices in mind if you decide to check it out. read more

Best market for sure and very pricey. Every time I come to this market. I'll make sure I'll pick up seven days of fresh juice. They are so fresh and delicious. Breakfast burrito and chicken wrap are to die for. Oranges and strawberries are so sweet. You can tell it is organic and so different from other markets. Everything looks good. I ordered a hot latte, whole fat milk, with no sweetener and the lady at the register repeated that order exactly then put in the exact opposite. This is their medium size, about the size of my palm. Filled with ice. $6.50 So not only is it the most overpriced coffee I've ever had comparing fluid ounces. But it's also the worst coffee I've ever had irregardless of size. I can't tell if it's just because they gave me the exact opposite of what I asked for, but I got cup of coffee that was just awkwardly sweet, not sugary sweet like a mocha, not milk sweet but this weird artificial sweetness with no real flavor to it... Then I get a hit with the burnt coffee which is in a watery milk with no thickness to it no creaminess and this really gross artificial flavor. Unfortunately I got a call right as I place the order so I was already running a bit of a rush. There was two people ahead of me, so it took about 10 minutes and I could not wait another 10 minutes to have them remake it. I decided just to give it a chance and I regret it. This was my first time at an Erewhon after seeing all of the hype on tik tok; I would say Erewhon is a glorified California Fresh Market with OCD. Everything was beautifully organized and perfectly arranged which was unexpected. The prices are insane though and not worth it in my opinion. I expected the smoothie to be incredible per influencers' videos online but it's honestly not THAT good. It was like a 6 or 7/10, sweet, healthy, but tastes like a strawberry smoothie and was nothing fancy. If you want an amazing tasting, super healthy organic smoothie, Virt Juice in Arroyo Grande is 100x better. Ultimately, I came for the experience but I will not be back at an Erewhon. So much has changed since my last review, so much for the better. The vaccines are now available, the Covid numbers are coming down in the area. No need for curbside pick up anymore for me! Customers are required to continue to wear masks inside and social distance is encouraged. Folks are eating outside as well as inside at the tables. Lines are long at meal time at the prepared food counters. Without exception, everything looks delicious and freshly assembled . Prices are higher than most grocery stores in the area so if you've never been, don't be surprised. read more

Can't quit this place. I take breaks because I get sick of it and every time I come back it's as good as I remembered or better. Cannot beat the hot food bar/ everything is amazing. I love all the vegan cookie options they also now make. The spicy tofu sticks are one of my fave foods on earth. Worth every penny obviously expensive place for the most part but so worth it. This is our go-to stop when we're driving from San Diego to parts North. Right off the freeway, good selection of healthy to-go meals and snacks. Yes, it's a tad pricey, but it's an occasional stop for us, so we don't mind. Brownies are top-notch. Store is clean, well-staffed, and well-organized. My first time at Erewhon and i thought it would be bigger? They have a lot of healthy fresh options like fresh squeezed juices, a hot food bar, prepared foods like sushi. They also have a cafe and make coffees and smoothies (known for the celeb smoothies). They can make the celeb smoothies although i thought it was only a limited time. Visited here today. The cashier, Xander, questioned us about purchasing items that we had ALREADY purchased and they had a sticker on them showing they had been purchased. Very rude. I brought this to the manager, who said there is no distinct policy on pressing customers on if they purchased items that had a sticker on them. He was very dismissive, not helpful, and solely said he didn't believe me because the cashier, Xander, is a "nice" guy. Also, the manager said employees can decide if/how they ask people if they purchased something that's half eaten/or partly drank with a sticker on it. No respect for customers or any customer service training. Awful. Unready place with healthy options. I would say it's more for the appeal and hype. They do have great unique healthy options however some of the stuff is overpriced. For example the Ophera water is $13.99 there but only $12 at Bristol farms. So basic items are up charged. But I do like the unique options they have that you can't find other places. If you don't shop regularly at a Erewhon it means we will not get along, you're cheap, your health is not your priority, you would rather spend money on other things that don't really matter to me, you're not educated on health or nutrition, you're not very intelligent, you don't like to learn, you would rather spend money on pharmaceutical drugs, you have no idea how to heal illnesses, you 100% eat junk and I don't get along with those that eat candy and junk it's a major turn off. You 100% wash your clothes in toxic substances and use toxic soaps, and so on. You think if your clothes have a heavy perfume smell it means they are clean that's the opposite, these people I can smell yards away & give me headaches. You waste money on toxic food that has no nutritional value. You don't care if your food is organic or clean you have no idea what is even in your food. I don't have time for people who live these kind of lives where I have to educate them all day to be on my level. I bought black tote bags from here to add to my collection of all my other Erewhon tote bags I love them so much. This is one of the nicer locations with lots of seating. The lid for the green lentil soup is loose and falling off. I saw a guy open the lid for the red lentil soup and he stuck his face close to it to smell it. I looked at the red lentil soup and it looked very mushy and unappetizing. I think the prepared foods section needs to be more closely monitored. The sushi crab roll with real crab meat was good and the rice was still soft, priced at a reasonable $11.99. The green lentil soup was also good and wasn't mushy in appearance like the red lentil soup. I would get this again. I almost bought a breakfast burrito but since I didn't see any communal microwaves, I passed. I didn't want to stand in line to ask someone to heat my food. read more
