My review will cover Stefani's barre class. I was first introduced to barre in 2019 and I've fallen in love with the practice. Stefani's barre class at Facet Seven Heights is my absolute favorite! Stefani is very upbeat, personable, fun, and extremely energetic! Her class is great for beginners and those who are advanced in the practice! She always has a fun playlist to rock out to and it makes the class even more fun! If you visit this gym, I definitely recommend checking out Stefani's barre class. She teaches on Mondays at 7:10pm, Thursdays at 6:20 or 6:35pm (sorry I can't remember), Saturdays at 10:35am, and Sundays at 9:45am.

Instantly when I started taking classes at Facet Seven I appreciated the community and friendliness at the front desk, members, and the instructors as well. I mainly take Stefani's barre, yoga, and ABC class but also have enjoyed HIIT and strengthcon with Emma. Stefani is a bright light and makes working out so fun but also challenging. Emma similarly looks to challenge but is also motivating and provided me modifications when needed with an injury, looking out for me when I didn't realize I could re-injure something without even knowing. The gym has a variety of equipment but is on the smaller side, so it's easier to see and get to know regulars in your class but also meet new people. Highly recommend!

Remember the kid who always trailed in after running the mile breathless well after all the other kids had completed their mile, many under 8 minutes in PE class? Or the kid that always got out first in dodgeball? Well, that is me. I've always been sensed that I am poor at fitness, and subsequently, I never enjoyed it either. That is until Citizen Pilates - my favorite way to work out. It truly is a class for all fitness levels as there are multiple ways to take moves. The instructors are universally friendly, and they gently course-correct but not so often that you feel discouraged. The music is upbeat, and a lot of the moves are a great workout, but many are lower intensity. That's exactly what I'm looking for! My favorite touch is when instructors provide options for taking springs. (Some days, the red or green spring is not my friend) Also, the help desk and support are always there with prompt and ready help should it be needed. Highly recommend for anyone of all fitness levels.

I once came in one day with a sore shoulder from overuse and the light shoulder exercises Brice had me do helped my recovery significantly. I was 90% recovered by the next day! Ihas helped me learn proper form and actively made sure I maintained good form throughout my exercises. It's only been a month of training with Brice, and I already feel better about my body and even my posture. Did I mention how nice the gym is? Brice recently moved to a new gym and it is spacious with brand new equipment. All his clients are friendly people too! Give Brice a try for meeting your workout goals, I'm confident he won't disappoint.

He knows what he is doing, pays attention, and genuinely wants the best for his clients. THE CORE gym is clean and has plenty of parking. When the previous gym shut abruptly, Brice had us up and running in the current gym basically overnight. Amazing. He prices his services to motivate you to go 3x a week. That may sound like a lot but it creates a routine. And that's GOOD. He pushes you in a "you can do this" way but is realistic if the weight is just too much. Brice balances the sessions so that your whole body gets a workout over the week. And he is big on stretching. He works hard to plan productive sessions where your time is valued. Not much on chitchat and no "lollygagging". Heather covers on certain days of the week; she is knowledgeable as well with a dry sense of humor. I highly recommend giving them a try. Your first workout is complimentary, I think, so really what do you have to lose? Just do it. It's time.

I recently tried Barry's and loved it so I figured I'd try this one as it's closer. Upon arrival, the woman at the front desk got me checked in and told me I could wait until the earlier class finished so she could give me an overview. They do have lockers in the bathroom for your stuff; however, most people just left their stuff in the open cubbies at the front. One the earlier class let out, us first timers were brought into the room and shown how to work the treadmill since it wasn't a generic one. For this class, the room has blue lighting and the instructor is on an elevated platform (or should I say DJ booth). The stage is where the exercises are demonstrated and you can always look for the instructor. While Barry's usually does a clean split between time on the treadmill and then the floor... SWEAT has 5-7 minute intervals and rotations. I didn't love this as I was sharing a space with someone else so when I got to the floor... there was sweat from the other person over the bench and it was a bit gross. Additionally, I think more time gets wasted doing the transitions. The workout itself was great and the instructor was nice. When on the treadmill, I appreciate that they give a walk, jog and run option although with the speeds they mention... no way are you still walking unless you're doing your own thing. On the floor side, I do wish they offered more options or guidance to those who have injuries and can't do some movements. I understand it's a large class so it's not feasible but it's something to note. All in all, it was a good workout and I'd visit again BUT would still pick Barry's over this one.

Then I discovered The Edge here on Yelp and I love it! The classes are small and focused. Some days are cardio based, other days are weight based, so you're always getting a balanced workout. Tim is a fantastic instructor. He gives due attention. Teaches proper form. He's also methodical about which stretching we do, knowing most people have jobs sitting most of the day. The workouts never get boring! Tim also teaches different Martial Arts classes (Mousel's), as well as Women's Self Defense. The best thing about Tim's classes is that he pushes you to do your best, but never so hard that you'll never want to go back. I really look forward to attending every time. Participants in the classes range from people just starting their fitness journey to those that attend 6 days a week. It doesn't matter what level you're at, it's never intimidating. Everyone there is very encouraging, which makes for a very fun experience. A typical day in the class is running the stairs outside for about 10-15 minutes, then strength training exercises for 20 minutes, then abs and stretching for the last 10-15 minutes. One of the things that Tim does well is mixing up the exercises so that we're not doing the same things over and over again. Also, he incorporates some martial arts and crossfit type exercises which adds some fun to it. I can't say enough good things about Tim's classes. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. You won't regret it. Edit: Don't be intimidated by all the pictures of the girls in the classes. There's a good amount of guys that attend the classes as well!
