I am a longtime customer who has been loyal for years and spent thousands of dollars of my hard-earned wages and this shop has taken complete advantage of me. They quoted me $300 more than the next shop and had no room for negotiation. I now question the charges for all work they have done for me. I took my car to my friend's shop who gave me a very fair family & friends discount which I should have been receiveing for years! This is not a fair business. Take your car somewhere else. Follow the Yelp reviews: when we needed a last minute oil change and our dealership had no openings, we looked to Yelp to find a reliable local shop, and landed on KAM, whose ratings are stellar! Very helpful on the phone, I was told if I came over soon, they would definitely service my van before the end of the day. Same day service with no prior appointment; we appreciated this so much! At first, I had trouble finding KAM due to the proximity of a popular car wash being right next door, and I accidentally pulled into the car wash line instead, but then I found KAM just next door, easy to find now that I know. I came prepared to wait for my car for hours, so I began by doing a telehealth appointment while walking around the parking lot. Multitasking! This plaza felt very safe to walk around - and I walked in the parking lot behind the plaza and also along the road behind the plaza, circling around to the car wash. Eventually I used KAM's waiting room to work from my laptop, and this was ok. Not ideal, because the office is so small, but perfectly fine considering this was all a car emergency. The price for the oil change was comparable to my normal service, which I appreciated. The only thing that I felt a little weird about, was that KAM gave me a full repair analysis of things that needed to be repaired on my car. I appreciate the thoroughness, of course, but some of the repairs recommended seemed a bit over the top. In analysing the service readout, the front desk person told me I really needed a whole new set of tires, plus new brakes, new fluids, and several other items. I called my tech at my regular shop, who had just assessed my car a month before, and she told me there was no way we suddenly needed all of those repairs. I don't doubt that KAM was very thorough, and they were correct about the brakes, but recommending that I needed all new tires was a bit much. Therefore, I highly recommend an oil change here, but I would suggest getting a second opinion for repairs. As I was only a customer one time, I would also look to others' reviews on Yelp for decision making, as I did in deciding to come here. I had bee taking my families 5 cars to KAM AUTO, they were amazing, ho es and reliable, then one day I notices some changes , and realized Apex had taken over the shop, since I had been doing business WITH KAM, I took my 328I for them to check my tail light . They came back with an estimate of $656.15 , $514.00 for the part and $141.00, for labor I was in shock and accepted the quote initially, then I started doing some research. It turned out that the parts could be bought for 110.00 after market , when I confronted them , they said , well these are original BMW parts , I said ok... I looked it up in the BMW dealership parts website and found it for 230.00 still to 300.00 less that these unscrupulous people , as far as the labor ...141.00 I changed the twilight assembly myself in 15 minutes , no I am no mechanic I went to Kam for over 3 years , 5 cars , none of them new.... they lost on thousands of dollars , because they9p wanted to gouge me.... My experience with APEX this morning was excellent. Came in under the cost estimate and by the time Bobby said it would take to do the work. Even more, when I spoke to the mechanic who brought around my car, he had taken care of securing the undercarriage without being asked and with no additional charge. KAM Auto is NOW Apex Auto. This review is in no way reflective of what used to be KAM Auto.  I was a patron of KAM for years. We consistently used KAM for our 3-car household's auto needs and made multiple referrals to their business. That being said, my most recent experience caused me to never want to see the inside of the formerly known KAM auto. I took my car to get an oil change and noticed that my bill was $30 more than usual.  At that time, I was advised that oil changes allowed for up to 5 quarts of oil and my car held 5.2 quarts. That is when I was told that KAM AUTO was sold and is now Apex Automotive so prices will be different.  They still answer the phone as KAM Auto although their bills now show Apex Automotive. I would never have known. Well, I paid the money for the higher-than-normal oil change and left. When I arrived home, I noticed a clean slice in my car seat. It appeared as if a sharp object had cut through it.  I called and asked them about it.  They told me to bring the car back so that they could see. I was advised that my SWEAT caused the rip in the car seat.  My car is a 2020 model with less than the normal mileage and none of the other car seats or sides of my seat suffered from a clean CUT in the material.  They offered to fix it and completed a patchwork job as the cut is still there today.  Once I was told my car was ready after the patch repair, we made our way back to the shop to see Amber driving off in it.  We were told someone was taking it for a car wash and to come back!  Why would you call to say my car was ready if it were not?  Well, when we returned to pick it up, there was NO CAR WASH. We were told that the car wash company did a bad job. It was clear to see that my car had not been washed and was taken somewhere for God knows what but I digress.  After the higher price, cut in my seat, and being told a dirty car had been washed, I decided to never patronize this business again.  Unfortunately, I am left looking for a mechanic with the same ethics and expertise as KAM. Just had my car serviced at Kam, and what a pleasant surprise! The price was extremely reasonable (no unexpected shocks as is typical at the dealer), and the wait wasn't bad at all. Plus I got excellent customer service from Amber, who, unlike the typical customer service rep, is exceptionally knowledgeable about cars.
