I posted a 1 star review but I went back to Firestone with the service invoice from Greco Chevrolet and got different information than I did last week. My auxiliary battery in my Camaro that powers the computer and fobs needed to be replaced but they don't have the Chevy computer reset equipment so I really did have to go to a Chevy dealer. I had the manager print a quote for the same battery and install for a total of $287.70 - Greco charged $670.16 for the battery, labor, misc and tax. It was $120 labor just to set the computer to the new battery! I was told last week they could have done the work but the manager today said I was given incorrect information and it needed the Chevy computer but was terribly overcharged for the work. read more

I can't say enough about the peace of mind this Firestone location gives me. We've all heard stories about someone getting ripped off by a mechanic on a car repair but that is never the case here. I am the 2nd generation in my family to use the wonderful mechanics working in this location in Delray Beach and I've been using them for all of my maintenance and repairs for 21 years. I also buy my tires from them as well. When I have any trouble with my car, they are quick to diagnose the problem and I never feel that I am being overcharged. When my tires are low on air, I pull into a bay and they quickly and courteously fill them. They do my routine oil changes and tire rotations. And all of this service is done quickly and with a smile. I have recommended them throughout the years to many friends and after the initial visit, like me, they've become customers for life. Ray was absolutely fantastic helping me secure four new tires after I ran over a nail. He pointed out that my two front tires were completely bald. Gave me the best discount that he could and did not pressure me with an upsell at all. That would have made me walk-out anyhow. Did everything in record time ordering my tires from Hypoluxo and getting them down quickly for installation including the alignment of my car. I am very happy with the service and was really surprised at how fast he made everything happen. I would use them again, and I highly recommend them to others. Took 1.5 hrs to do the basic work with another car blocking me with an a/c problem. Then the car sat outside for 15 minutes before someone checked me out at 1:40. read more

I had a terrible experience at Firestone on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach. I bought my car in because the air conditioner wasn't working. They charged me $929.55.. My air conditioner was never fixed and it was still blowing hot air. I went back they charged me another $800 now this time they changed the thermostat.. Why didn't they do that the first time? Didnt know they charged $190 an hour for labor. They said they worked on my car for over two hours while I saw it sitting in the parking lot for hours when I drove by. I spoke to a man named Steve more then once he is nasty arrogant, and should not be working with the public. And this man Marcus wasn't any better. Be careful I know Firestone makes a lot of promises and they been around for a long time. Do your research. This place is a rip off and unprofessional..Good luck read more

Fire Stone is a great place to get an oil change, but when I got my service done, they said I had dry rot on my tires. I took it to another place to get a second opinion, and found out it was not true. To lie about that is inexcusable. read more

About 5 months after an oil change at Firestone, my check oil light popped on. I saw a Jiffy Lube nearby (I was out of town) and headed in. I had very little oil because it had slowly leaked out. The mechanic said the person who did my last oil change didn't put on the caps fully. Also, the air cabin filter that I paid to have changed wasn't changed. I didn't like my service there because the mechanic kept coming out to the waiting area to upsell services and parts and this latest incident just confirmed my suspicions. read more

I took my car in the other day for an oil change and to get my brakes checked which were shot. They call me and charged me 150 for the oil change and tell me I need front and back brakes with rotors. They quoted me a price of over 1800.00. I called a local mechanic I know and he quoted me just over 700. I called these crooks back and told them I got a better estimate, the guy on the phone had an attitude. I Took it to my mechanic the next day and my bill was 727.00. He had trouble getting the wheels off and was convinced Firestone put them back on as tight as they can so he had to strip and crack the lugnuts to get them off. Since I turned the job down, they decided to make it hard for the next guy who had to replace my breaks. I asked around after this happened and multiple people have had terrible experiences with this company. Take your car anywhere else but here. read more

If I could give a zero I would. I called and made an appointment to have a tire checked. I was on time for my appointment and waited. Over 1 and 1/2 hours later no one has looked at my car. I asked the manger what was happening and was told that appointments take over an hour and half to get helped. Then why did I make an appointment??? I am extremely unsatisfied with this location and it's staff. I went in to get the two front tires changed and they installed 2 completely different sized tires. Not sure how a "professional" would even get the sizes wrong and there was no one to catch this error before I left. But mistakes happen and I understand that. However, I called the following day and was told by an employee to come by 7pm and they would be able to change it. I come in at 6pm and I'm told they can't do it because everyone left at 5pm. The miscommunication at this location is incredible. I don't know why someone would tell me to come when the mechanics leave at 5pm. The service I received has been extremely poor and upsetting. I just pulled in and asked the first man I saw and asked what I can do to get it fixed He took care of it it 10 minutes and was such a delight . I'm 81 we are in the middle of a heat wave here, he would even let leave my car . I've taken two vehicles to get two new sets of tires at this location. Both times they've turned it around in less than 24 hours. Friendly service and honest pricing. They even upgraded me to a nicer set of tires for $20 just because they saw I was a repeat customer! No slick salesmanship or arm-twisting, just fair and matter-of-fact service. My last oil change I asked to replace my wipers, I paid for them and 3 hours into a drive to Ocala realized they did not replace them. When I returned to the store, they very unapologetically said they had to order them, no explanation as to why I was charged and no one said to come back. I gave them another chance yesterday. I made a 530 apt., arrived at 515 and was told they couldn't take me, I asked them to please fit me in as I left early from work. Rude response and said it won't be ready until 7, which was fine for me. When I picked it up at 640 the oil change light was still on in my car. I asked about it and the mechanic told me they close at 7 and I was inconviencing them. He then told me to come back tomorrow or would be better to go to my dealership. After patching up my tire, the Delray Firestone threw my spare in the wrong way, didnt screw it back in, and threw my tools back into my trunk scattered everywhere. When I asked for a towing company reccomendation to bring my car over, a guy named Rob gave me the first half of the phone number, forgot the rest of it, then told me he forgot the name of the company. That was just my first experience with them. Before road tripping back to MD from Florida, my dad brought my car here for an oil change and tire allignment. My car was brought back with an engine check light on and I was told to "go to Ford because my sensor wasnt working".... even though it worked fine before bringing the car in. After driving over 1000 miles back to MD- my "empty oil" light went on. Turns out when they changed my oil, they didnt put the cap back on. My cap was laying in the middle of my engine with oil all over it. When I brought my car to the Firestone in Maryland, I was told that there was nothing wrong with my sensors and that I was lied to in order to make commission. I was also told that there is a process that every Firestone must go through before giving the cars back and that those steps were not taken with my car by the manager here in Maryland. The manager apologised on Delrays behalf and fixed what they broke in my engine that made my light go on, gave me a new filter, changed my oil, cleaned the oil off the engine, and didnt charge me. The Delray location is sloppy, unorganised, doesn't care about the customer or their quality of service- and I will never go back there. Had the manager in Maryland not done what they did, there would be a lawsuit happening in no time. read more

This Bridgestone location takes advantage of women! My elderly mother was there 5000 miles ago getting her front pads and rotors changed for $500 (The parts for this actually one cost less than $100 retail at any parts store). Yesterday, her car started jumping when she was braking, so she took it back today. Her service rep at the desk told her she needs new rotors for another $500. She told him she got new rotors last time, how could I possibly need them again. He said "It's metal, I can't keep it from wearing out." No one can afford to get ripped off, but my mother especially. She is on a fixed income of less than $15,000 per year. After calling me in Texas, I told her how to examine the brakes with the mechanic only to find out that Bridgestone are liars, and did not change the rotors the last time she was there, like she paid for and they said they did. (That's now only $40 in parts retail, and they charged her $500.) I got on my mother's cell phone with the service rep, asking his name. He would not provide it until I had asked three times; Courtney. I then asked to speak with the service manager. Courtney held the phone close so I could not hear anything, and after a few minutes he gave it back to my mother telling her, "It's taken care of." My mother and I both said to each other "What's taken care of." I hung up with her and immediately called their rip-off shop, asking for the service manager again. I was on hold for 15 minutes before I hung up. In the meantime, Courtney clarified with her that the car would be fixed at no charge. It's not okay that they were caught in a lie and tried making it right. How many other women have they lied to that did know better? This company lies and cheats! Had I not been involved, they would have charged my mother $1000 total for $100 in parts, lying to her the entire time. Their on hold message talks about their "Triple promise- fixed right, priced right, right one time." They've failed miserably on all three promises and deserve a ZERO! read more

having put my self behind the 8 ball and overdue for an oil change I tried them again, never again, been a couple of years, all new staff, same old same old service wise. Oily hand prints all over including the door handle which couldn't have been missed, oil all around the fill hole, obviously tested the battery and didn't put the protective cap back on. Had a tire fixed there, they threw the spare back in to the trunk haphazardly without securing it, on top of other items in the trunk, It was a mess. As I waited, Every customer was up-sold, told they needed something for their car, something more expensive, something they didn't come in for. I could see if it was 50% of those I observed, but every customer..... that is an anomaly, a sales technique or decision via management to generate more business. In fact, I saw two elderly customers, separate from one another, come in and question their bill and the work being done. Is it the worst place to take your car, no, is it the best no, if you have to go there, just beware of what is going on...I have not had extensive work done on my car there, so I can't say how good or bad the mechanics are, in all honesty. Everyone I talked to her was very polite and helpful. They provide good customer service while face to face or over the phone, but I have to question how honest they are. All before the price of labor, they wanted to charge me nearly $600 for a pack of 4 engine coils(I bought a pack of 4 new at autozone for $220, could've got new ones online for $20 a piece), and $80 for 4 spark plugs(I purchased a pack at Autozone for $45). I understand to expect a certain amount of up charge, pull double to triple seems crazy. I had other work that I was told I needed as well, but due what was mentioned I question the legitimacy. Beware! Don't go here!!! I've been going to this location for a few years to get my car serviced. In the past, I've gotten great service. However, the store seems to recently undergo changes and it's all new people working the counter. A month ago I brought my car for a nail in the tire and ended up spending $1000 for "issues" they found in the car unrelated to the tire. When I picked up the car, the guy behind the counter didn't even know about the nail! Shady Shady. I discovered a large dent in the car door but was told I couldn't prove it was them. A week later the cabin filter, which they insisted needed changing, fell out into the car (they had broken the panel) and it was filthy. Clearly put the old one back in after I paid for a new. I decided to give them another try simply out of convenience of the location and to let them fix the things they broke last month. Dropped the car off 8 AM (with an appointment!) called numerous times throughout the day to check on it. I was told it was "next in line" and then at 5:30 was called and told they didn't have time to get to it. The guy behind the counter was rude, unapologetic, and simply an a-hole. It's unfortunate because previously this was a great place to go. Now the new guys are shady and scamming people. I'll never go here again nor should you. read more
