This place has great food at a very reasonable price. My colleague and I stopped in while in the area for business. I had the sliced pork sandwich with peppers and broccoli rub and a side of the fisherman's stew; both were excellent! My colleague has the spicy shrimp special and the fisherman's stew and she loved them both. Erin's Pub is know for their Prime rib, which next time I'm in town I will definitely try it. The food here is excellent I've been here twice for family birthday get together. First time there we came with a party of about 14 everyone ordered had a great time. Second time there had a large group again and we had tables upstairs I guess to accommodate everyone. They had us stirring at two different tables and told us that we could not put the tables together. Only reason I'm giving them a 4 star is because their food and drinks are good. I would definitely recommend the chicken parmesan you get so much food that your likely to take it home. read more

I would've given it a 5 but it's just not the same shrimp scampi that it used to be The shrimp was overcooked & tasted "bleached", (which is a trick some places use right before the shrimp goes bad--It's a distinct taste & I'm familiar with it as I've tasted it before. My entire family used to eat here, especially my late father, ( you could say Herbie was a "fixture"), & my late son worked there as a cook for many years in the early 2000's Hopefully, it was just a bad night as this was one of my very favorite places for many years. I just don't dine out much anymore, but I'll give it another shot. BTW, the staff are all very kind & accommodating.& Ive seen LINES outside the door of people waiting to get in. So, if you see a bad review, I wouldn't pay much attention to it. One "off" night with the shrimp doesn't speak for the rest of the food. (escarole soup & shrimp le jon come to mind for starters!! Came here for dinner for the first time recently with family. I had always heard this place was good, but it's a bit far from me so I had never tried it. This looks and feels like a typical Irish pub and the atmosphere seems very old school. But, the food is better than you would expect at a typical pub. The main draws here seem to be steaks and seafood. I was boring and stuck with a crab cake sandwich. The crab cake was very good, not the best I have ever had, but good for a pub. I tried someone else's prime rib, and that was fantastic (it was also huge). Overall, food was very good. We were with a large group and they had no trouble accommodating us. Service was good. Prices were also reasonable for the size and quality of the food. I would go back if in the area. read more

I was charged $3 more for my steak than what was on the menu. Other customers were also complaining of the same situation. When speaking with the manager he was rude and stated he uped his price due to higher cost of beef. When I told him it was fraud and false advertising without informing the customers he basically blamed the waitress. I told him he could get white tape and make a correction on the menu and he walled away. I asked the waitress x4 for a refill on a soft drink and napkins and was totally ignored. My steak was ordered medium rare and i received it over done totally brown on the inside and dried out. read more

I want to start off by saying that the staff here deserve 5 stars! We were there on a Saturday night from 6-8pm, prime dinner rush, and these ladies were working HARD! Despite the rush our waitress was attentive, fulfilled every request, and despite the fact that you could tell she was extremely busy, at not one point did she let that reflect in her service. My boyfriend ordered the NY Strip, his Mom ordered the surf and turf which came with Lobster, and I ordered the stuffed Lobster tail. Both the bf and his Mom were very happy with their meals, but the stuffed Lobster tail was unimpressive. It was basically a half of a crab cake, sort of squished, laid on top of a lobster tail that was already cracked out of the shell (which I actually appreciated). The crab portion was very good, but the lobster itself was on the dry and flavorless side, even when dunked in the run of melted butter that came with it. The drinks were not impressive either, my bf had a few cups of coffee which he said were not that good (and he will pretty much eat and drink anything) and my unsweetened iced tea was no bueno as well. Considering this is a pub, I would stick with the bar. One awesome thing I have to mention is that there is a sweet little orange cat that waits outside the door every night, sticking by the parked cars and away from the people, but still there watching everyone enter and exit the restaurant. I saved a small portion of my seafood and packed up some of the steak Mom had dropped on the floor and fed the little guy when we left, which I'm assuming is the reason why he hangs around. I couldn't get close to him but I tossed over the pieces and he gladly gobbled them up under a parked car. For people who don't like cats, don't worry, this one isn't going to bother you, but it seemed as though everyone knew the cat as they were walking in or out, and the regulars and waitresses spoke sweetly about him/her, and seeing that I love cats this was probably the best part of my night haha. The crowd of people who join here to eat and drink are some of the friendliest people I have ever met: I ended up taking to multiple strangers before and during our meal and had a really great time. I would recommend this place as a fun spot to grab drinks or a small meal with friends, or maybe a simple meal like a burger or something, but the menu is filled with $20+ seafood dinner entries that, at least to me, did not impress nor go with the overall experience I had there. Still, I would go again and give it another try, maybe try the steak instead, and it was a really nice place to grab a meal with family and bond with the neighborhood. There are a ton of regulars there who have been eating the food there for decades, so that has to mean something, and I'm not going to dismiss it based on one very busy night, especially when everything else went so well. As I often say about restaurants in my part of Delaware County, you really have to grade them on a curve. What is seen as fine dining in these parts wouldn't cut it in Center City. It's just a fact of life when you live south of Baltimore Pike. So there is "Southern Delco good" and "Center City good". This place, it's really good for Delco. It would probably fall into the OK category in Center City. Now, the details. I hadn't been here for a very long time. Not for any real reason per say. I just hadn't bothered coming here. But after a recent spin with the Yelp monocle on my iPhone from Mac Dade Blvd just for kicks, I saw the Erin Pub come up. I decided to drag the wife there on Friday night. It's been around for over 30 years, so it has to have something going for it, right? I mean, everyone who grew up in my area has either gone to the Erin Pub for their birthday or for someone else's birthday. So it has history on its side. Lately, I have been ordering broiled seafood combinations at a lot of places. It seems to me to be a good measuring stick for the worthiness of a restaurant. You get to taste a lot of things at once, it doesn't fill you up as terribly as other items, and a restaurant that does seafood well will probably do other things well. That's my theory at least. So how did this stack up? You get 5 different items... scallops, a mini lobster tail, flounder, a king crab leg, and shrimp. Well, you only get one shrimp. I had an issue with that. If you are going to include something like that on a combo plate, you should get more than one shrimp. Two would have even been passable. It made the kitchen look cheap in my eyes. Flavor-wise, the scallops were the best part, with the crab leg a close second. I'm sure the shrimp would have been up there if I had more than one. The flounder was bland. The lobster tail was tough and rubbery. I mean, I know I'm not getting Maine lobster here. The rolls and baked potato made it all better for me though. And, even the classy Southern Delco joints still consider applesauce a vegetable choice. Gotta love that. So the meal had some good things, and not as good things. Seafood is hit or miss. So why am I bumping it up to 4 stars? Well, first of all it's because I can't give 3 1/2. Secondly, they won points because the wife had a chicken, spinach, and peppers sandwich that was quite tasty. And I kept stealing the steak fries off of her plate, they were so good. So this place does do some things well. I'd definitely recommend it if you were looking for a sandwich and a cold beer. And I didn't hate my meal. I just lowered my expectations to Southern Delco level. If I had gotten that rubbery lobster tail in Center City, I'd have blasted the place. Oh, one more thing Erin Pub... for 20 bucks an entree, would it kill you guys to throw in a salad with the meal? I got rolls and the main course. No salad is bush league. But hey, I can't be to hard on a Southern Delco institution like this. read more

I have been to the Erin pub several different times in the past. It's a nice little eatery and was usually very good every time I went. It's known for the prime rib. This time I went though I was not impressed. The cuts of rib were a nice size but there were several fatty spots, the mashed potatoes were cold and the taste of the rib was just not there. Also after eating 3 of the 4 people had to get to the bathroom fast because of the meal. Not good. read more

As always this place is great. I'm very happy that we can dine in again. It is a little weird to see so many open tables because of social distancing. It's always packed under normal circumstances. A bunch of people at my job recommended Erin Pub to use after moving to Secane. We needed a quick, affordable dinner for take out last weekend and we decided to order from them. We ordered the deviled clams, 20 honey bbq wings, crabcake sandwich and the 6oz sirloin. I want to say the total came to about $45 which is AWESOME. The 20 wings were only $6-$8 which is crazy because i've paid almost $16 at other locations in the area. I didn't love the deviled clams, I envisioned them more like clams Rockefeller but these were slightly different. More fried and more flavors but my husband did eat them. My husband raved about the wings and said he will be ordering them this weekend. The sirloin and baked potato I had were awesome. The crabcake sandwich got just an "eh". Overall I think it's a good, affordable spot for anyone in Delco to try out. read more

my wife and I were there on halloween afternoon for lunch at about 2 oclock not too busy was seated at table that was so wobbly every time I moved the drinks spilled every where and every thing became so sticky we both ordered shrimp lejon that was dry and nasty the salads came out the were ok at best the main course we ordered was med rare prime rib let just say it was awful to say the least it tasted like it was cooked days prior and just reheated dry flavorless and gross one bite was enough for the both of us $62.00 bill plus tip service was descent though but overall the food was really shameful just expensive reheated leftovers piss poor experience read more

This is now our favorite local spot for dinner and drinks! What a little gem. Good eats and drinks at great prices. I definitely recommend this place if you're a seafood lover. They have seating at the bar as well as some high tops and regular tables. Our waitress was also the bar tender because we sat at a high top. The early bird special runs from 4-6 pm weekdays. $.50 off drafts and $13.95 entrees that come with two sides and a complimentary coffee. Looking forward to visiting again really soon. Great food, especially if you like seafood. I've been going here for years,since I was a kid although its been a few years between my recent visit and before. The decor and everything about the place is exactly the same. I love how when you come here, you get two decent sides along with your meal. Clams casino is the best I've ever had here and the stuffed shrimp are very good too. The crab cake stuffing they stuff the shrimp with is incredibly creamy. Something I've never seen anyone else do with a crab cake, but it's really darn good! Their prime rib was cooked perfectly too. All in all the foods great here and the service is excellent. If I'm craving crab legs or any kind of seafood but don't feel like driving far, I go to this place. Crab legs, lobster, scallops, crab cakes, baked fish (salmon, tilapia, etc). Of course they have other menu items as well. Great portions and tastey food! I've dined in 2 times, but do mostly carry out. Food is well packaged and kept warm. Very nice staff. I've been here twice during the fascist regime of quarantine within city limits and Erin Pub has always delivered on a much needed night out. The food is plentiful and good quality. They have a seafood intensive menu which I appreciate. For whatever reason I am obsessed with their croutons so the side salad is not to be missed. I have gotten their seafood fra diablo which in a surprising twist of events was actually spicy! So many times I have been disappointed by lack of spice in a dish whose name evokes the devil, but leave it to an Irish bar to get it right. My boyfriend usually gets the prime rib which I assume is what the place is known for. Chicken parm is also great! As far as drinks go, they pour a great Guinness. Irish coffee is also fantastic. Tonight my husband and I treated ourselves to an outstanding dinner at Erin's. Our friendly and efficient server brought us a full glass of wine and promptly took our order. My broiled salmon was a generous portion of a thickand so moist and delicious. My husband chose Chicken Oscar. Delicious tender thinly sliced chicken topped generously with crab meat with spears of asparagus. In a wine, butter and lemon sauce. Erin's has been able to keep their prices affordable while not compromising quality. We'll be going again soon. read more
