To be honest I've never had a good cinnamon roll from a restaurant or store. They're always dry, and not glazed enough. However upon entering this hidden gem, I found my one true love--CINNAMON ROLL GALORE and now I'm a changed woman. The store itself is quite hidden behind Big 5 on Broadway. Nothing could stop me from finding the gooey cinnamon dessert so I went on a quest to find Erlei's and upon arrival I was invited into a sweet quaint cafe with lovely decor and sweet beverages. A sweet woman greeted me and patiently waited while I felt quite indecisive...but the glint of a glazed cinnamon roll caught my eye--and I made my choice...the choice that CHANGED MY LIFE The first bite sent me straight to heaven....and I don't think I'll see cinnamon rolls the same ever again... My husband and I purchased one of the bacon and cheese quiches to share while we walked around. We didn't make it very far until we had to double back to the bakery because my husband ate it all. He said it was so delicious that he couldn't help himself. We got another one and also decided to try the 3 pepper quiche. Glad we did because it was very good! The owner and her little boy who was helping out are lovely people. This is a must stop if you visit Ferndale. read more

Best cinnamon rolls, ever! I don't know what they do to them, but there's no fighting over the middle because even the outside is fantastic.

I went n and picked a few items. Chocolate chip cookie, peanut butter cookie, blackberry muffin and Mexican chocolate scone. The pb cookie and muffin were ao yummy. The cc cookie was also good. Scone....just ok. One thing lacking....customer service. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. The town of Ferndale is so welcoming, it just didn't feel that way when I walked in. . So why 5 stars? Because the pb cookie and muffin were just that darn amazing. read more

Went to get dale for the small town charm and local gift shops and stopped by this bakery and it was delicious the coffee cake I got was very good, and the chocolate chip cookie was great with milk. Erlei's baking it has the most incredibly delicious baked goods. We ordered a cinnamon roll and quiche ( I recommend! ) and it was mind blowing! The quiche was as light as a soufflé and the cinnamon roll moist and delicious. Both were fresh from the oven baked by the owner herself. Her daughter too was helping around the store. While walking Main Street a friend and I stopped in to view the sweets! The ladies working were so chatty and sweet and let us know they get to the bakery at 4:00am and start their productions for the day. I bought a bacon Gouda scone (not tried yet) and a blueberry scone. The blueberry scone is fresh and delicious! Topped with whole fresh blueberries. It's perfection! Stopped in this morning and picked up three muffins and a scone. The muffins were very fresh and enjoyable. We haven't touched the scone yet. Service was nice and friendly. This shop is small but the food/baked goods in it are amazingly delicious. The staff were wonderfully friendly and kind. They proudly offer a military discount. The blackberry muffin was yummy. The cookie was tasty. The best of all the items (in my opinion) was the pull apart cinnamon bun which is just divine! The cinnamon roles are so phenomenal that I think about them regularly. They have the best one I've tried so far in Humboldt County. You can even call ahead and they will reserve your favorite goody in the back until you get there. read more
