Super sweet, professional and patient, offering impeccable bespoke tailoring for all manner of outerwear -- velvet bombers, expensive heavy wool overcoats and slim-fit luxury denim trucker jackets. Her pricing is on-par if not better than the top tailoring shops across Los Angeles (Marin Tailors and South Lake Tailors being a couple others), but it's both her warm style and technical expertise in handling heavier fabrics, layered patterns or intricate stitching (which many tailoring shops cannot due to lack of proper ability or equipment) that sets her apart. In terms of her working with you she can't be beat... she is so considerate and really cares to go the extra detail for you however you want. I've been using Erna for quite a while now for the tailoring and repairs for clothing from my vintage clothing store. I present my pieces as close to pristine as possible, so it is important to have a great tailor to assist in that as clothing doesn't always come to me in the best condition. I've had her darn and patch holes in clothing that is from the Victorian era (late 1800's- over 120 years old), and she always does a beautiful job. Additionally she has made patterns for me, replaced zippers, and repaired beading; she does it all- from simple to complex projects. She is smart and intuitive in her craft and does not disappoint. She altered a winter garment for me an overseas trip. I could have done it myself but thought I'd use a professional. When I rem to get it, it was too big. She said she would fix it free. I didn't have time to leave it then and I couldn't use it on my trip. I went back a few weeks later. She refused to fix it for free as she'd previously promised. Then told me to leave. read more
