They even greeted one customer by name as they were being seated--a sure sign we may have stumbled onto a local favorite. We ordered the Monte Cristo and Cuban Panini, and boom... there goes the dynamite! The Monte Cristo featured homemade challah that made for an incredible French toast base. With shaved turkey and ham tucked inside, using French toast instead of the traditional fried preparation made it surprisingly light while still being completely indulgent. The Cuban was equally impressive. Perfectly pressed bread, chopped barbacoa, ham, pickles, and mustard came together beautifully. Every bite was packed with flavor. This place absolutely earned a spot in the regular rotation. Small, welcoming, family-owned, well priced, and serving up some seriously good food. Definitely worth a stop!

I eat at Queen City at least once a week, often more. The meals (mostly breakfasts but lunch and…read moredinners as well) have been delicious. The wait staff is extremely friendly and competent. While the decoration of the premises leaves a lot to be desired, the friendly, homey atmosphere overcomes the lack of an interior decorator's touch. Prices are very reasonable. For great food served by a wonderful staff all at an affordable price it will very difficult to beat Queen City

My first diner stop in the area. The food I ordered was their house breakfast something? Forgot the…read morename, but it had bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, potatoes. Also got a side of French toast. The food was the highlight of the visit. Gigantic portions, eggs were cooked perfectly the way I like it, meats were good, pancakes were a little flat but decent, potatoes were my favorite. Perfectly cooked slices and nice crispy edges, perfectly seasoned. Coffee was yummy and refilled regularly. The French toast was honestly one of the best I've ever enjoyed. Thick bread, perfectly seasoned with the spices. Syrup is served on the side with togo ramekins. Service was great, friendly and aware of our needs and got everything we needed. Ambience. Adorable and cozy local diner feel. I can see myself getting lost in a book and enjoying a quiet morning with my breakfast...mmm definitely my favorite diner in the area. I will definitely come back again. I recommend the plates a dishes ordered.

We went at around 9am on a Friday. We ordered 3 chocolate milks, 3 chocolate chip pancakes, 4…read moresausages, and a Philly cheesesteak omelet. It was $55! When you go to pay it asks for a 15%, 20% or a 25% tip which felt greedy. (I waitressed 10 years ago and 10% always felt more then enough.) Also, they charged me $2 for the expired jelly on the table. (My 4 children ate about 10-so I understand a lot; but it felt as if we had been charged for sugar or ketchup...) The pancakes were burnt around the edges and the pepper and the onions in the egg were huge and had to be cut before you could eat them. The peppers were also undercooked. The waitress was very cold. We asked for maple syrup for the pancakes, and she seemed upset that we asked that request. It was honestly a bad experience. I will never go back.
