Brought my 1980 jeep here for a two wheel alignment, super simple, there only 1 adjustment you can make, Toe in or out. The price they quoted was fair. I got called to pick it up later, they said my tie rods were too short. I needed to get longer ones. Turns out they just have no idea how to work on older cars or anything besides a rack and pinion steering. They tried to center the steering wheel by taking all the adjustment from the tie rods. It's not complicated at all. Very concerning for a alignment and tire shop. I wish they would have admitted that rather than charging me. read more

I have an older sports car that is not equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). One of the tires developed a slow leak from under inflation, but I didn't discover the cause until I brought it to Napa Tire & Wheels. At first I thought it was due to a nail. But the shop took the time to submerge the wheel/tire and found the tire had been damaged and leaking at the rim. They tended to my car almost immediately upon arrival. They had a replacement of the right size but from a different manufacturer, so they had to order it. Instead of tying up my car, they mounted the new tire they had, so I could drive home and return when my ordered tires arrived a couple of days later (I actually ended up buying two because the other side's tire was old and wouldn't match handling or wear). I knew as soon as I pulled up and met the owner Mohammed and spoke with him that I had come to the right place. I came originally to have one tire repaired but in actuality needed all 4 replaced. I knew this beforehand but the quote from the dealer was obnoxious so I was not in a hurry. Mohammed explained in great detail what happened to my tires and if I drove it that way it would be unsafe. He's the type that when you look and talk to him you know he is honest. Plus he has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend this gem of a tire shop. Oh! Went to Napa Tire on a hail mary. I've had a stripped oil pan screw on my car for the last few months. Other oil change companies can't deal with it. And of course, I got it from one of these quick oil change places in Gilroy. Anyway, it's a Sunday morning and I desperately needed an oil change. Napa Tire lists that they do Oil changes and other mechanical work on cars so I took a chance to have them look at. Well, my hunch paid off. After taking my key and not offering any promises, one of the guys was able to remove the stripped screw in about 10 minutes then proceeded to complete the oil change. I was relieved. I was looking at a much more expensive bill but Napa Tire came through and was able to get the job done where no one else had the appetite to do the unconventional work. I had a leak in my tire, they tried to fix it, they did it wrong I came back, and they told me the hole was too big. I knew they were incorrect, they wasted a lot of my time I went to another tire shop and had my tire fixed correctly. It looked like just a small nail hole. They tried to sell me another tire instead of fixing mine. I don't think they know how to patch tires. read more

Excellent TIRE & TIRE ALIGNMENT service open MONDAY - SUNDAY! In today's pandemic world, when most small businesses have suffered and closed, it's uplifting to see this local business thriving. Under new ownership since last October, Napa Tire & Wheels is a rarity. Unlike all the other local tire shops, this one is privately owned and personally overseen by its proud owner, Mohamed, who's very honest and a hard worker. He was able to fit me in at 6:00 pm on a Saturday! He even welcomed me to return within 2 - 4 weeks for a check up, without charge, to make sure the alignment was satisfactory. The job only took less than 30 minutes and at a very reasonable and competitive price. Plus, he's very kind and will educate you about the alignment process (or, anything else you may have done since, besides providing new tires and alignment services, he can fix just about anything) or explain the equipment that's used to perform the repair. For someone like me, who's not mechanically inclined, I welcomed the opportunity and he patiently explained the process well. This is a local, small business that delivers friendly, professional service and deserves the patronage. All-in-all, this was a very positive experience and my car now handles like a dream. This place is a joke. Could not get my rotor off so I called this place since it was the only place open on Sunday. Had it towed there and spoke to the owner who said that he could install my calipers, rotors, and pads. The next day they called saying one of my brand new Napa auto calipers was bad and I needed another so I picked one up and gave it to them. They called saying it was ready and when I went to pick it up I realized they INSTALLED MY BRAKES ON BACKWARDS!!!!!!! I had to tell the guy how to install calipers and why the bleeder valve has fo be on top. After that they said now my other napa auto caliper was bad... so I went to get another. They installed it and with me there showing him how to do it and proceeded to "bleed my brakes" sprayed brake fluid all over my car because they don't have a bleeder kit. Only did it to the front two brakes instead of all 4 like you're supposed to. Lost my brake line clips and used zip ties to replace them! Never check my master cylinder until I told them too and of course it was empty, almost used the wrong fluid until I caught them, and left air all in my lines which could have been deadly and is extremely dangerous. Had to bleed my own brakes and fix their mistakes my self. Also this took them 3 days to complete. Spoke to another customer / victim who said he was there for two days already for brakes as well. Later when I returned my cores at napa auto, they were fully aware of this shop and told me to stay away and have heard other horror stories like mine. For your own safety DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!
