Caliber Collision - The hood on our 33 year old Civic looks brand new!!!! - Body Shops Near Me - Escalon, California

I chose Caliber Collision in Escalon solely for convenience, since my sister lives nearby and was helping us while we were out of state. Unfortunately, the experience was awful from start to finish. My car window was broken while my sister was driving us to the airport. Because we were traveling, she brought the car in on 8/8/25. Caliber initially suggested not using insurance because the window repair would be just under $400 (my deductible is $500) -- but that would have meant only replacing the window and not repairing scratches inside and outside the door. I clearly stated I wanted everything fixed and used insurance. The car was "finished" on 8/19 and sat undriven until we returned on 8/27. Shortly after, we discovered glass still inside the back passenger door and behind the seat. It had not been vacuumed out. When we called, we were told to bring it in anytime. On September 9, my young son tried to open the back passenger door and couldn't. The door panel started pulling away from the frame. When I brought it in on 9/19, an employee named Jesus immediately accused us of taking the door apart ourselves, repeatedly insisting "there's no way" it happened otherwise. Despite me calmly explaining that my son simply opened the door, he continued implying I was lying, scoffed at me, and behaved very unprofessionally. I spoke to the manager, who apologized but minimized the situation by saying both sides were "getting defensive." Meanwhile, the employee continued accusing me, claiming a "missing part" proved we took the door apart. The work was under warranty, and I have zero knowledge of car repair -- there was absolutely no reason for us to touch anything. I was told a part needed to be ordered and that I'd be contacted. No one followed up. By October 25, the door came apart again when my son opened it. On November 12, my husband brought the car in. The same accusations resumed, then shifted to blaming us for "pulling the door too hard." We later discovered the door no longer locked after that visit. At this point, I contacted Farmers Insurance, who escalated the issue and transferred us to a different Caliber location. From there, the experience completely changed. Carrie, the Regional Manager, was empathetic, professional, and proactive. She arranged for the Modesto Caliber Collision to handle everything, including transportation. Glenn and the Modesto team were excellent, and as of 12/17, all issues are finally resolved. Avoid Caliber Collision in Escalon. The lack of accountability, incomplete work, and disrespectful treatment were unacceptable. I'm grateful the Modesto location and regional management ultimately made it right -- but no customer should have to go through this. I am aware of the delays in us taking the car back to the shop, and because the initial repair was incomplete and the issues were not urgent to daily drivability at first, we were told we could bring the car back "anytime." Between homeschooling two young children, work schedules, and the fact that the car had already required multiple trips, it took time to coordinate returning it. Additionally, after being repeatedly accused of damaging the vehicle ourselves, I was extremely uncomfortable returning personally and waited until my husband could take it in. The delays were not due to neglect, but to scheduling realities and the shop's own mishandling of the repair. read more

The staff that work here are very friendly knowledgeable very courteous when you drop your car off here they keep you informed of every step along the way and keep you in the loop with that in mind you have to remember a place like this does not have all the services in house needed to affect repairs They routinely have to contract out to the manufacture of various companies for specialized repair while these third-party vendors may or may not have the same standards as caliber collision. Caliber collision is ultimately responsible for coordinating all services and keeping the customer happy with that being said if repairs are not performed in a timeframe given, it is caliber collision's fault for that reason I am giving them four stars instead of five read more

Be very careful when dealing with this repair station...they told me they were going to replace my door after a trash truck hit it and it ripped off the mirror which bended the frame. I signed off on the repair and didnt check if ....within a week of driving my car I noticed my door whistling But that's not the worst part.... when I tried to talk to the guy in the back office he started screaming at me.... You heard it right, screaming. He said I had damaged the door..lol I had a death in the family that year was not physically able to go handle the situation but you should know that you have four years through State farm to file a claim against the repair station and I'm going to do that now that I'm feeling better. read more

Absolutely professionals!!!! A lady backed up on my Yukon and messed up my back bumper. I had never been in any kind of accident before (knock on wood) therefore i wasn't sure what to expect as far as getting my vehicle fixed. For our business, we've had a couple of our work trucks fixed with them and they did an excellent job. So my husband had me take my Yukon to them as well. I couldn't be happier! I brought them the parts of my sun-faded stock red Honda parts with a request to paint it the color of a rip cherry. They did a superb job prepping and painting every part as if it were from an Audi A8. They added Ghost Flames that show up only in the right sunlight. And do they ever show. The metallic paint showed off the custom nature of the bike in the best way. As I finished it I sat on the stock seat and it cracked. They were quick to tell me of just the right people to fix it at a reasonable cost. They directed me to Castillo Auto Upholstery on 3rd in Modesto. I have had to take my vehicle back 3 times....when I was first in the shop I had my gas stolen in their yard ...when I got it back I was missing parts and fluids totaling about 13 parts missing off my vehicle and now my power steering is leaking squeaking and I'm still finding broken parts that they broke that was not part of the accident read more

This is where we have taken several of our cars for body work and restoration. We have 6 sons and it was Roy that referred us to them as my hubby had bought a corvette that needed a lot of TLC. They really did a superb job! Then my hubby bought another corvette and completely restored it and he wanted it painted "Canary Yellow" I was hesitant ,but it came out stunning and the body work and attention to detail was impecible. My son bought a really old truck and restored it, This place was probably glad to see it go! They really did an outstanding job then too. Over the years we have taken many cars and trucks here and have never been disappointed.
