Me and my friends play escape rooms fairly often and we left this place raving about every aspect of it. We played Swamp and the first thing you see if how amazing the room looks. Then we got so lucky with the best game guide: Kenny! Not only was he a great actor (best intro to a game I've ever seen) but he really helped us when we needed it: we never had to wait long for a clue and he would nudge us in the right direction when we were completely off! The room itself was full of puzzles and everyone got to work on different things. It was genuinely such a great experience!!! We are already planning to do the rest of the rooms: we got a preview of the pirate room and it looks sick. This place is definitely worth a trip even if you are not in the area.

We did the Speakeasy Room and it was so much fun! We have done a bunch of other rooms at severl places and this one is our new favorite! Great staff ! The room was very well thought out and nicely done. It was challenging enough we felt the pressure but did not feel impossible or confusing. Great experience and we are already planning our next adventure there !

Kids told me to give them five stars, so here ya go! My Daughter meant to book at a place in red bank, but when we arrived they were closed which was when we found out she accidentally booked here. Turned out to be a good mistake! Owners were kind enough to wait for them to arrive so they didn't lose any time. They said it was challenging but fun and they all want to go back! Give them a try!

ESCAPETHEROOMers visited Escape The puzzle back in March 2019. When we arrived, we thought it was a private home and it was! Escape The Puzzle owns the entire house. The house has 3 floors with a fully functional basement for parties. There's even a garage for storage and a good amount of parking in the back. The main builder and puzzle creator behind all the rooms is the wife this time (go female power!) although without our male owner's "special care" on the place, the bathrooms would not have looked spanking clean. The first room we tackled was the "Swamp" and it normally can hold up to 10 people. We were definitely in it for a challenge with two people as this room is not linear at all. You can definitely have many people working on different things at once. Besides the puzzle aspect, the builder was also very into hiding things well . With all that said, we needed about 5 minutes more to solve that last puzzle to get out of the room. There were a few puzzles in there that we thought were cleverly built without the use of electronic device but still very fun to figure out. There were a few things in the puzzle that we thought if we didn't get a hint we wouldn't have known to go there for that so if there were some story line that can point to it other than the hint system we feel that it would create a better flow. Overall, we were very impressed by the immersive room design and how much little details the owners put into the room. The next room that we tried to escape from is "The Tower". The game master added in an interesting intro that set the mood prior to entering the game. He may also "help" you all the way till the end if you stick to the story line. We actually enjoyed this room a bit more as it's normally meant for 6 people so it was more manageable but the story line and puzzles also flowed better. The room decor was once again very immersive. You felt like you were transported to an old castle in the medieval days. There was a bit of red herring on why one of the puzzle pieces appeared earlier on and had no use which delayed us a bit and also a little incident with one of the pieces of the puzzle that didn't come out where it was suppose to but we understand the build of these puzzles are not easy and things do happen at times. This was quickly fixed and we were able to continue with our game. We did get out with only a few seconds to spare as the last puzzle definitely needed some quick thinking and quick hands. Overall it was a very solid room and we enjoyed it very much. We can't wait to try their other rooms in the near future! *For more info, check out my Yelp profile.

Kids had a ton of fun and the parents were so amused by watching on the TV's with the owners. Highly recommend!

Good location and a quality room I love the "sneak peak" we got of the Swamp Room after we completed the Speak Easy.

We had a good time but when we got to one room she went off we opened a door after she said to then she runs over and starts a argument with us on how we were not supposed to open the door this was a bad running, but we carried on and forgot about it then, in the next room, we opened a mystery, crate, and an alarm went off this signals that we did something wrong. She comes up and explains to us. We weren't supposed to open the crate then she leaves later we asked for a clue, and the clue was to open the crate we were very angered with the situation overall the amount was way to expansive. In conclusion it was not a joyful time. I was struck down by the situation. So I decided to write this review thank you for reading.

Our puzzle master, Jamie, did a great job of explaining the process before we got started, and I do appreciate that the door is unlocked so you can come and go as needed (didn't have to, but I remember when that wasn't the case!). We did the Witch's Cauldron, which was a really fun room to work with. Of course without giving anything away, everything was pretty clear in terms of what was next, and clues came way in handy when we asked for them, which was easily done by just saying so while looking at a camera. I think this was their newest room, but the first one I'd been to. I thought it was really well done, and everyone was engaged throughout. I especially prefer the rooms where there's a lot that needs to be done, so people can split up doing stuff rather than everyone crowding around one puzzle. I'd love to try another room there sometime!

The rooms are $32 per person (no discounts for children or weekday pricing), and with tax the total price for the three of us was $102.36. David was our game master and did a great job of explaining everything to us before we started and quickly feeding us clues during the game when we asked. We did the Egyptian Tomb: Imhotep's Curse because it felt the most like we were in Indiana Jones. I wish we had known there were actually two rooms, so that I might have budgeted my time better and asked for clues a little sooner. Alas, we did not escape the room(s), but it was still a great experience and it was all very well designed. I think we are all itching to come back for redemption, so we'll definitely return and give one of the other rooms a shot.
