The manager at the Salem NH store quickly got on the phone and arranged for all the socks to be held or delivered from other surrounding stores. All the way down to Danvers Ma. This manger drove her stock up to Methuen Ma. where we picked up all the remaining pairs we needed. All three Managers went above and beyond to ensure we had the 16 pairs of socks we needed. They contact me the day after Christmas with a sincere apology and they have worked to make it right. They were able to find the item I wanted and are sending it overnight along with a refund. I suppose that things do happen which are out of the control by any company but as long as they apologize and attempt to make things right then they are a company worth supporting. I ordered a gift in the beginning of December. I realized 4 days before Christmas that it had not arrived. Upon tracking the package I noticed that the last update was 8 days ago. I contacted L.L. Bean and their response was basically too bad, they could send me a new pair in March. March! No apologies for not contacting me about the package being lost. All of these items in the style I want are, of course, out of stock everywhere or will be delivered way past Christmas. If you are thinking of buying an item from L.L. Bean and it needs to arrive by a specific date, I wouldn't trust them.

Not only is David a master of his craft, but he also shared a lifetime's worth of knowledge throughout the process. His passion for what he does is unmatched. In my opinion, he's the best boot fitter in New England, if not the entire country. They simply don't make people like him anymore, and no one will ever be able to replace the level of care and expertise he brings. If you need anything for skiing, snowboarding, or mountain biking, go to Ski Haus. You won't find better service anywhere.
