    Spinach Pie Dinner
    Michelle M.

Been craving some greek food, so decided to check out this place in Brighton. When you first walk in, you can either order takeout or dine in. We decided to eat in. I ordered the Spinach Pie Dinner which came with two sides and a greek salad. The dressing on the salad is magical. I don't know what the secret ingredient is but it's soooooo good. They actually sell bottles of it behind the counter so I decided to buy one to bring home. I heard the lady at the table behind me say she wanted to buy a bottle too. It's that good. The spinach pie filling was good too, as was the rice and green beans. They also serve a bowl of warm pita bread before your meal. Tip: dip a little into your salad dressing...you'll thank me later My friend ordered the chicken gyro and she liked it too. Our server was very friendly and attentive, and the overall vibes inside are good. They do have a private parking lot (shared with Dunkins) but it's super tiny and watching the cars come in and out of it was making me anxious. I suggest trying to find street parking. Will be back!

I was excited to try a new Greek restaurant because even though I cook some of the food, there are not too many restaurants that I actually like but this one I liked. They had lots on the menu, but I wanted the chicken gyro. It comes with a side salad with is a plus cuz it has the best dressing I ever tasted. The chicken gyro was cooked well and very tasty. It wasn't dry like some places. My daughter ordered the spinach pie with green beans and rice as the sides. That was a tasty dish as well. The restaurant is small but very pleasant. Lovely pictures of Greece, really cozy and warm when you are there. I enjoyed it, especially being cold day. You can get some things to go like deserts, the salad dressing, which is a big plus! We bought one. I would definitely come back and try something else. So happy I came.

The food is five stars every time! Whether you're sitting in or taking out it never misses. There is nothing better than this salad dressing! The gyro is consistently good as well. It's pretty no-frills on the inside and the parking lot barely fits three cars so be prepared to look on the street.

There are so many Mediterranean spots in the city that it's easy for them to blend together in my head, but Esperia Grill is a restaurant that stands out! I tried their chicken gyro on pita ($15.35) which came with a side of Greek salad. The gyro alone is slightly cheaper at $12.05. I highly recommend getting the Greek salad side because their salad dressing is herby, garlicky, and creamy! The gyro itself was super tasty. The chicken was flavorful and had a char to it without being dry. I loved how fluffy the pita was! The bread was chewy and soaked up all the juices from the chicken without falling apart. We also got their fries ($5.45) which had this crispy battered coating that added a lot of flavor.

I love this hidden gem of a restaurant! If you're looking for an authentic Greek restaurant with reasonable pricing, come here! Food: We got the Lamb Shank dish and Moussaka. The lamb fell off the bone beautifully, very tender and not dry at all! The sauce paired perfectly with the lamb. We got it with lemony potatoes and rice and I loved how strong the lemon flavor was on the potatoes! This was my first time having Moussaka and I loved it! The layers of cream, cheese, potato, eggplant, tomato, and beef all blended together in a beautiful harmony. Ambiance: This is a very casual, local spot. You can tell the owners are invested in the community which is so great to see! Every time I drive by this place during dinner time they are packed! Price: Prices are not bad at all. Each plate is about $20 each but comes with the entree and two sides. The Moussaka was $13 and so worth. Overall would go again (and I've gone again after my first experience already!) and everyone should check it out!

This is a cute, homey little grill with some pretty great tasting food. I ordered a chicken pita (and switched out the greek salad for some fries) which left me very full and satisfied. This isn't quite the best pita/gyro I've had before but it's still a pretty solid option. The staff were also very friendly and attentive, making it a great spot to dine-in!

#3 Chicken Gyro with side salad It's incredible!
    Ryan M.

The chicken gyro at this place made me question what every other Greek place is doing wrong. It was incredible, so flavorful and so juicy! And the pita was done to perfection! So many other places make me walking away thinking that I hate Greek, but I'm realizing that other places are just bad. And the gyro comes with a side salad that is beautiful and has incredible dressing! I highly recommend and I'm defiantly going to be trying other things in the future!

Seriously, the best place in New England area to get great Greek food. I drive from NH 1:30 minutes each time I get the cravings.

That's already a steep price for a salad. I ordered a greek salad with chicken souvlaki. I didn't know kebab and souvlaki were that much different... so ok.... now my salad is $24. Oh. 25% more money.. I guess it's because they're about to put a massive amount of chicken on it because that must be the portion of souvlaki to justify the price? Nope. 5 tiny chunks of grilled chicken... about 1/3 of the kebab chicken it seems. Wow. I asked for some extra feta on my $24 salad. That's $2 more. I'm now having a $26 salad. I've noticed this in the past as well. They will find any way possible to upcharge you. I skipped a drink anticipating maybe a cup was $6 and the ice another $3. Lids for $2. Straw a bargain at $1.50. I will say this. At least for $26 I got a hefty amount of veggies. Not $26 worth but by comparison, when I order or do take out the containers are tiny. I swear it's a 1/3 of the size you get in the restaurant. I would be paying $26 for 1/3 of what I got. I like the quality of the food here but they're charging sit down prices for a counter service place. The staff seems really indifferent to just charging you whatever. You want extra tzatziki with your gyro? They sell $10 tubs. Don't dare ask for a side portion. You're in for that $10 tub. Now your $18 gyro is $28 but at least you got a container of tzatziki, more than you need for the gyro. I love the food but I feel like I need to negotiate every item I order and ask the price. Any deviation and you're looking at a 30% increase. You want those fries well done? That will be another $6. I'm no longer tipping at this place. For $26 salads, the staff better have Healthcare and be making 4 times the minimum wage.

The tartness of the lemon was balanced perfectly with the savory elements of the dish. The homemade phyllo dough is to die for. Baked to a perfect crisp, and full of bready aromas. Tsoureki (9/10): This sweet bread was also amazing. The whipped cream was delicious and tasted homemade. The maple yogurt was also delicious, adding just the right amount of acidity to cut through the sweetness of the dish. Breakfast Hilopites (7/10): Very unique dish. Our waitress described it as a "breakfast carbonara." The sausage was the best part of this dish. The pasta was tasty as well. Saganaki (3.5/10): The fried cheese is way too greasy. It comes in the pan, so there's a pool of grease still at the bottom. We had this dish last, and it felt like a bad way to finish the meal. The cheese itself was delicious (the nuts too), but the dish still lacked something to cut through the grease. Loukanikopita (8/10): The sausage was really good. All their phyllo dishes are awesome. The yogurt was good as well. Hortopita (7.5/10): Also a great phyllo dish. Yogurt was great. Loved the addition of dill. Souvla & Eggs (8/10): Lamb was very tender. Cooked and seasoned well. I think it was a tad too salty, though. The salad was light and refreshing, with a nice touch of acidity. Strapatsada (7/10): Solid dish. Not a must-order, but I did enjoy all the flavors and textures melding together. The sourdough was solid. We also had the Vlacha Cola, which was crisp and refreshing. Service is very friendly. I would definitely come back. I would say it's better than their sister restaurant, Krasi.

The 6-dip spread was a fun experience and probably one of the more memorable things to order if you are with other people. The feta was definitely the best dip by far, while the others were okay. One thing to keep in mind is that you have to order bread separately, which is worth knowing before you commit to the dips. Overall, I still enjoyed the meal, but it felt a little mixed. There are some dishes I would gladly get again, and others I would skip.

When you first walk in, it's a bit quiet and you have to wait for someone to come from the back to greet you, but be patient because once you're seated, service is attentive and available whenever you need it. There are lots of rustic-looking tables, which give it a sort of homey feel, and some tables can fit 12+, so they can definitely accommodate large groups. My colleagues always get something different, but I get the same thing every time: the grilled boneless pork shoulder and it is so good. The pork shoulder is a bit fatty and comes out juicy and flavorful from the grill - droolworthy. It comes with sauerkraut, but it's not your typical sauerkraut; it's more like a mild slaw with just enough acid to cut through the fatty pork. Also comes with your choice of side and sauce. The garlic toom is the only option in my opinion (of course, they have others), but get ready to have kickin' breath for the rest of the day. Others have gotten the lamb tongue, lentil soup, falafel, beef shawarma, borscht, pelmeni, eggplant rolls, and they have all been hits. Don't think I would ever come out of my way to this restaurant if I didn't know about it, but it's totally worth the trip!
