I just cancelled my membership after years and switching studios. They are constantly cancelling…read moreclasses and have went downhill in regard to cost and last minute cancellations for low attendance because they can't get as much money would of the class as possible even though we already pay $100 a month. There's studios that offer free open pole, cost less, and have my class time I've been going to for years still available.

Instructors, the front desk, their advertising and everything will tell you that unused classes will roll over to the following month, but no one will ever explain to you there's a cap to the amount that roll over until after you're automatically charged hundreds of dollars for months of classes that don't exist. If you explain to them your family member is dying and you were too busy taking care of their hospice plans to attend classes and had no idea this policy existed and ask if there's anything they can do to help you, they will tell you that you signed a contract and should've read it better. I have loved the classes here, but my heart is broken over their lack of communication and compassion. This is incredibly unfair, and I just want you to know the reality of what you're signing up for before you get trapped by predatory policies and fine print no one will ever mention like I did.

I tried Flying trapeze for my first time. I have an aerial background and there were 2 new women…read morethat did not. The guys leading the class moved fast, talked fast, but they were clear. They were super flexible with your capabilities and encouraged you to go for it while maintaining safety. Everyone flew. And they even did flying with catching! It was great! After each turn, the instructor on slack that would call each movement, would go over your run. He'd give suggestions of what you did well and what to aim for next time. The new women did great. Just shows that this group was really great with how they instruct. I hope to catch some of their cloud swing workshops. But I will definitely be back!!!!!

We brought our 2 girls (ages 6 & 12) to Roc City Circus for their trapeze test flights. Plus, they were so upbeat and happy that my worries quickly turned to excitement. After they were finished with their safety discussion, my 12yr old (always the dare-devil) got right up there and loved every minute of her fly...she did exactly what she was supposed to do and did an amazing job! My 6yr old (who had been uncharacteristicly quiet and apprehensive since we arrived) started to cry She said she was scared and didn't want to fly, but Daddy surprisingly offered to take her place (even though he's always been terrified of heights). My 12yr old and I watched her as she watched him and then she turned to us and said, "If Daddy can do it, so can I" and that little girl did not falter for a second. She marched up that ladder and stood on that platform with her head held high. You could've heard a pin drop. Everyone in the place stopped what they were doing to watch this little angel stand up to her fear. I kept waiting for her to change her mind, but her determination to "be strong like daddy" gave her the courage to grab onto that trapeze and jump! As she flew through the air, smiling ear to ear, the whole place erupted into cheers! It was such a special moment and I was so grateful to these complete strangers who made this adventure all the more memorable for our baby girl. ROC City not only gave my whole family an experience they will never forget, but it gave my youngest the confidence and pride to continue trying new things And now, I have 2 dare-devils Thank you Roc City!

I've been meaning to write a review for a long time - I signed up for a membership when I first…read morerolled into town. All of the teachers are so knowledgeable about the body and alignment they and genuinely care. The pilates classes work miracles for back pain and other body aches and pains that start up after age 50. There is a variety of classes which is really nice depending on your mood and what you feel up to accomplishing physically. This is a top-notch studio and if you are looking to get stronger in a safe and productive way, this is it. Plus everyone is so nice. Five stars. Highly recommend.

Joining Vellidan (formerly The Pilates Room) was the best New Year's Resolution I made for this…read moreyear. This space is warm and welcoming and all the instructors have been wonderful while also being completely unique in their focus and delivery. I started January with the unlimited membership (which I highly recommend) so I've taken Facial Refresh, Core XIIT, Pilates (mat) and TRX classes. Each class and each instructor has something different to offer, and with the small class sizes you feel like a part of the community immediately. From week to week the instructors remember specific injuries (to recommend modifications), goals and other pieces that are so important to substantial growth in strength and stamina. The online system is very easy to use to sign up for classes and the cancellation policy is extremely fair. Being right in the heart of Fall Creek with ample parking, the commute there is never a problem. In addition, the class times are perfect for my schedule and they have so many various classes to offer, it's so much more than just Pilates! Finally, they even have online classes if you can't make it in-person on a specific day, which I have also used and found to be extremely beneficial. I really can't recommend Vellidan enough. As a mom of two young children, this was the reminder I needed that feeling strong doesn't need to mean high intensity workouts with guaranteed injuries. Pilates is highly focused core work that is low intensity with a laser focus on correct form rather than overexertion. In just one month I already feel stronger and can feel my balance and core strength improving significantly. Thanks to Tori and the wonderful and knowledgeable instructors at Vellidan for providing such an important service to the downtown area!
