I've never written a Yelp review but was compelled to because of the service provided by these movers. I have never hired movers before to help me move and have only done it myself but I knew for this recent move I wanted to find some help and hire someone. Esquire was listed #1 on Yelp and I read the other reviews on here, and I'm so glad I went with them. Everything was set up easy, from asking for the initial quote to getting a phone call minutes later to finish booking. The day of the move I got a call from Sergei who was on his way with Alex and Vaso, and 20 minutes later they showed up at my front door. After walking through the apartment and instructing what was to be moved, they set to work. Within minutes two rooms were already empty of my boxes and I lived on a second floor with a small winding staircase. They took apart some Ikea furniture very carefully and wrapped everything carefully that needed to be wrapped in blankets for the move. We were out of the apartment in a little over an hour. Moving in to the third story of a walkup was the real reason I needed to hire some help, and I'm so thankful - these guys worked HARD. Some of my boxes were very heavy and they were able to bring them up with no problem. They even brought some boxes down to the basement to the storage unit there - which saved me from needing to do that later and reassembled my Ikea furniture. The move itself took about 3.5 hours (with additional commuting time), so for 4.25 hours, the total was around $500. I have no complaints and will absolutely recommend using them to anyone who needs a good moving service. Thank you! read more

If you want 75-80% of your items either scratched, damaged, broken, (I have plenty of pictures) or completely missing then Esquire Moving is the company for you. They were the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. They sub your move out to under qualified movers. I agreed on a price to move me out of state. They informed me I would have my "own" truck and items would be picked up in RI and delivered the next day to SC. That turned into a 72hr delay. You would think that a "professional" moving company would understand the DOT regulations for the American roadways. I was informed 48+ hours into the wait that both trucks, not the "own" truck I was told I would have, had been stopped at weigh stations in Baltimore and Pennsylvania for being overweight. This delayed the sub-par movers another 24hrs. My suggestion is stay away from Esquire Moving. read more

Moving to a new place has never been a pleasant process for me, and instead of wasting time and effort for a big load of work, I decided to give a call to the company that had a good yelp rating. Created an account to give these guys a review. FWIW, Esquire was the first moving service either of us had ever hired. That being said, they were fast. Very fast. Impressively so. and they wrapped the hell out all our furniture. Everything was taken very good care of, absolutely nothing was broken, scratched, dinged, or dirty. It all came out just as it left. The movers were very professional, the lead of the 3, Igor, was happy to answer any questions, and asked us how we wanted to do things if there was any doubt. The *only* negative thing I can say is that one guy barely knew any English which was difficult once or twice. However, Igor always stepped in if he heard us trying to communicate, so I can't dock them for that. They also gave us little pocket-sized box cutter keychains that automatically retract the blade. These were absolutely invaluable for unpacking. We still use them months later. read more

Let me start this review by saying they are a good moving service. The scheduling is painless and they show up on time. The charge is for min 3 hrs. The only complaint I had in my two times I used them is they try to rush and then leave in rush right after two hours of moving even if their more work to do. I didn't like that they rushed us and didn't move few more items that were left. Its almost like they wish to skim on that last hour. Esquire Moving & Storage recently helped me with a move. The old apartment and the new condo were 1/2 mile from each other. The move took 5 hours total. The rate was reasonable, and I received the $25 discount for furniture wrapping which was great. Both of the movers who came were extremely hard working. However, I would not classify the second guy as a 'professional mover.' He was SUCH a hard worker, but I expected more of a Professional Moving Company. It took over a half an hour to get the couch down the stairs from my apartment and a light sconce was broken off the wall in the process. When we purchased the couch the movers from the furniture store got it up the stairwell in about 2 minutes. In addition, it took a long time for everything to be wrapped, which in my opinion, could have gone faster. Towards the end of the move, my family ended up in the moving truck moving and carrying boxes to speed the process up, as we were paying by the hour. I would give this move 2 stars, although the two guys that were sent were extremely hard working so that is why I am giving 3. I think they could have benefited from one more person on their team, so when they were moving the big furniture up, someone else could have been carrying the smaller items. I was quoted for 3-4 hours, but it took 5. I just think the job could have been done faster if either both movers were 'professional,' or a third was put on the team. Prior to the move, Esquire did a wonderful job responding to my emails/messages and calling and emailing to confirm. I am hoping there was just a shortage of movers this past weekend since it is a popular time to move, and in the future if both movers on the team are not professional, they will add a third to the team. read more

Really impressed by the professional and efficient service! My move consisted of two parts: 1) help me to pick up packages sent via Amtrak from California to Boston South Station and store it in Esquire's storage for 10 days and then deliver to my new place in the Boston area (I was not present for this move; only sent Esquire a picture of my Amtrak receipt and noted to Amtrak that Esquire would pick up the packages for me); 2) move all the remaining furniture and boxes from New Haven to the new place. Both tasks were completed with my full satisfaction. Here is what I like about Esquire moving. 1) Effective communication: you can submit a quote request online and the quote I got was accurate and very reasonable. The actual cost of the second move was actually cheaper than the quote because I overestimated the inventories. I also received same day reply from the moving team either by phone or through the messaging board online. 2) Careful handling of everything: I got different movers for the two moves, and all of them were extremely careful in wrapping up the furniture and setting up protection for the wall and railing during the move (compared with the handful of delivery team and the headaches I received over the past few weeks for other furniture delivery company, Esquire Moving is a dream!) . 3) Professionalism and efficiency: the movers communicated ahead of their arrival on the move day, and arrived on time. My move from New Haven to Cambridge was scheduled at 8am on Sunday, and the movers arrived exactly on time (they left the warehouse in Boston that morning and managed to beat the traffic). Once they arrived, the team dove straight into packing the furniture and moving the boxes. There was no joking around like other furniture delivery team that I have received this summer. They finished the job ahead of the estimated packing time given in the initial quote. 4) Payment: they accept major credit cards and there is no downpayment required. Esquire Moving did an exceptional job!!! Moving all my belongings from Boston to Provincetown. I gave them a call in one week before my move date which was kind of short notice. They were booked but manager had creativity to arrange the crew for me. On the date of the move 2 strong man showed up 15 min earlier and went straight to work. No chilling, no unnecessary questions. Egor, Murbol and Tima arrived on time and were very quick in packing and loading stuff on the truck. All the stuff was transported safely. I couldn't have been happier with my move. I was only moving one room (my bedroom) but still - the guys were incredibly fast. The movers I had were Vadim, Roman, and Ehor (possible spelling errors) , and they were fantastic. Always moving, always going, and getting the job done quick. I don't think I ever saw them take a break! They packaged all my furniture well for the move, and when we got to my new place they asked me how I would like it arranged and put it in place for me (instead of just tossing it in the room and leaving). They disassembled my bed at my old place and put it back together at the new one, all w/o missing a beat. Really great crew. I also liked the little takeaway item / merch that equire gives (a small razor blade with their logo on it) - very clever AND useful! This moving company is spectacular. I know what you're thinking, how the heck can a moving company be spectacular? LET ME TELL YOU. Let's start with how kind they were: despite getting a moving permit, several people parked in our tow zone. Esquire kindly parked the moving truck a block over and waited until the cars moved to begin charging us for time. They were professional and careful: they padded every door way and propped open doors. They padded every piece of furniture carefully. Not a single item broke, not even my glassware that I packed with almost no tissue paper. They were inexpensive: out of all the companies I got quotes from, esquire was about half the price. I figured they just low balled it but they charged the exact amount they quoted. I really appreciated how hard they worked and how carefully they moved my items. These guys were great! Dell, Egon, and Alexy were my crew, and they were quick, efficient, and organized. I had moved all of the smaller things and boxes out of my apartment myself, but I hired Esquire to move my furniture (some of which is large, heavy, and awkward.) These guys did the whole job in just a couple of hours, and they were true professionals - they made lifting some of my really heavy stuff look incredibly easy. These guys are amazing. I thought all the positive reviews on Yelp were too good to be true, but now I'm writing one too. We needed to move from Boston to Charleston SC in mid-August 2017 and we called quite a few companies. All of the other quotes were a higher (and some were *much* higher), and they all had a delivery window of 5-14 days! These guys just drove their truck straight down and unloaded the next day. That is really hard to find. On top of that, these guys are really really good at what they do. They showed up on time, and they were ready to pack whatever we needed (in our case we got tired of packing and had about 25% of our place left.. it took us several weeks to pack and they did it better than we could in just a few hours). They packed the truck very tightly and none of our stuff was even slightly damaged despite the long trip. Unloading was fast and smooth and everything ended up where we wanted it. Yury was very clear about how their cost structure works (it's a flat rate unless you need packing materials). Then when the guys packed, they were crystal clear in person about how much they'd charge for boxes etc as they went. So there really were no surprises which is also hard to find from what I've read about other movers. I'd like to specifically mention Vadim who lead the crew along with Dima, Fariz, Emil and Elmar. These are all really good people who are kind, courteous, professional, and just really good at what they do. Definitely 5+. I have moved my family several times overseas, from Canada to the US, inside the US - at least 3 times - and I have never had such a responsible and quality service as with Esquire. Yuri made it very easy to schedule, very clear with the cost upfront, he has the experience to know the time it will take - spot on - which makes it very clear how much is going to cost the full move. I used their warehouse for 3 months, good price, had a no problem at the delivery. The moving crew is another 5 star. Clean, careful and efficient. There is no waited time that costs money for me. The packing was good, protected all the "stuff" and then at delivery, they took care of protecting the house (doors, stairs, etc). Great job all around, from scheduling to moving day to delivery. We hired this service for a long-distance move from Boston to New York. The task was not easy as we had a lot of stuff to move and required some packing help as well. First of all, I want to admit excellent communication. The operator provided all the information on the rates, packaging suggestions, etc. We could not finalize a date for some time, so every time I called them, I got enough attention and feedback. The company also offered us a significant discount for furniture wraps which became an additional bonus. On the day of the relocation, the guys arrived without delays and packed some items for us, by noontime everything was loaded on the truck. I liked that they could fix some packages inside the truck for safer transit. All our possessions were delivered to the new destination point without losses and damages. One of my dresser drawers was broken so I advised them to be extra careful,- the manager of the team inspected the drawer, pulled out some power tools and fixed it right there on the spot! I highly recommend Esquire Moving. Great service at a great price. Starting with the reservation and quote, Yury was responsive and made sure I had all the information I needed. The online system was also very convenient for confirming details and asking follow up questions. Most importantly, the movers were excellent. Alex, Dimal, and Azamat were professional and efficient. They took every precaution to make sure nothing was damaged, taking care of our stuff and also padding the doorways and walls when needed to protect the house.
