One of our compressors gave out on our old system. We called several contractors to come out and look at it. They all told us it was time for it go away and replace with a new one. Our last phone call we made was to Essig for a quote. Barry was out the next day and gave us a quote on the spot. I got home from work and we made the decision to go with Essig. Barry was back out Saturday morning to sign the deal. The install happened that next Tuesday which was very quick. The service and install people were on time and had the old one out and new one in by 3:00p.m. A couple of minor glitches with humidifier and smart thermostat but they came out next day and diagnosed the problem. They also came back and put two bigger ducts in to two back rooms which were not quite heating up to par. The flexible duct was too small. They increased the size of the ducts and got rid of some pinch points. At this time, the system is heating those two back rooms great. There is a cold snap coming the beginning of the week again with wind. We are sure this system will do it job. We also know we have a great company that responds to our needs pretty quick. I would recommend Essig for heating and cooling systems as well as plumbing needs. They offer a great warranty and service plan also. You do not find this in today's world. My hat is off to Essig Plumbing and Heating. I would highly recommend these people. Friendly, knowledge is second to none, and responding to needs very quickly. Wow, what a great experience! I'm a newer homeowner and I have neglected regular maintenance on my furnace. It was badly in need of a cleaning and making noise when the blower came on. I tried to call a few other places and no one got back to me, so my husband recommended essig. I went to their web site and you can chat with someone! Then they called me right away and scheduled my cleaning for the same week. Before they arrived i got a text with the technician information so I knew who would be showing up and he was very friendly and helpful. The part that was needed to keep the furnace from making noise was on the truck so that got replaced today. The quote we got was accurate and the service was done quickly and professionally. I signed up for the service plan so they will come put twice a year and check the furnace and the air conditioning and I can have someone come out for free and look at my water softener which probably needs attention. I loved that they don't try to be scary and give a hard sell to upgrade things or replace things that are working, but the technician Barry was knowledgeable about everything and quoted a price for duct cleaning which i am going to budget for. This review is for Mike W. who went above and beyond normal service. We purchased a new air quality control system for our heating and air conditioning system. The very next day the control panel read "contact installer, bulb out". I called Essig's and they were not so accommodating of my schedule, even though they had rearranged my appointment 2 times already and the new system was quite costly. Mike, who services our system regularly, came out on his own time off on a Saturday to replace the bulb. On his way home he thought of something else to tell us and he actually took the time to call and explain it to my husband. I can't remember the last time I've had that kind of service! Mike always takes his time and never rushes through our maintenance servicing, and never makes us feel pressured when he recommends something. Both my wife and I were very pleased with Aaron M and his trainee Nate. I was very impressed with the attention, detail, and quality that Aaron put into every detail of his work. He was very clear and patient when giving instruction to Nate and was not hesitant to demonstrate what he was asking him to do. I was also impressed by Nate's eagerness to learn and willingness to roll up his sleeves and do his best to perform the task he had been given. They both had a respectful, kind, positive, and gentle spirit about themselves which was greatly appreciated and help make the experience a more pleasant one. (If you can ever call having to replace part of a sewage line a pleasant experience.) This company understands the customer experience!! I have used for Essig for repairs in past, and now need whole new HVAC system after 21 yrs. Have had Mike W to my house and he's awesome. Takes time to explain the details (even when you have to ask what it means more than once), did not try to oversell me on a system I don't need, gave me choices and explained the differences. I like that. Courteous and friendly service. Have had neighbors also recommend Essig. Busy time of year, couldn't get install date for 10 days, but they offered a free service to get my air on for a few days while I wait. Going with a Goodman unit, hope it's the right choice and I get another 20 years of no problem heating & cooling. Great warranty and deal on the service plan. We just had our furnace go out during one of the recent cold snaps. We contacted Essig and they had someone out to our house the same day. As our home is 24 years old, we decided to have our AC replaced as well to save some money in the long run. My husband and I were very impressed with how knowledgeable the service technicians were and with the great and prompt service we were provided. There was no high pressure sales pitch. Every worker we dealt with was very professional and articulate when explaining what our options were and when reviewing with us the work that was performed. Truth be told, we felt like we were treated like family rather than just consumers. These guys are fantastic! Mike W. came out to my home on a Saturday morning to give me a quote on an new A/C unit since mine went the night before. He explained every option to me and was very honest, which I appreciate more than anything. He didn't try to sell me something that I didn't need. As a single mom, I don't have money to throw away, so this is so important to me. I was able to buy the least expensive unit, which should still be a huge improvement over the 20+ year old unit that I had. Fantastic service. We had out water softener leak and after 3 days were were still getting water. Thinking it may have been something worse I called this morning and in a couple of hours Jared W was here, looked the problem over and confirmed that the softener was the culprit. Since I had the water remediation people here I wanted to be certain that that was the issue. My service guy for my water softener is getting a replacement but that may take a few days. Jared gave us piece of mind and helped in making a stressful situation just a little lest stressful. In the future if I need a plumbing service I will be sure to call Essig. read more

I have used Essig for many years and I am a "Service Partner" with them. Company response is very prompt. Jesse M was my technician this time for a toilet replacement. He was very professional, listened to my concerns and gave me information on three units that would satisfy my needs. When I discovered that the toilet handle was too difficult for my arthritic hand to manipulate, he searched for a replacement and made an additional trip to install it. Mike B. responded to a plumbing call (initially an emergency - leaking pipe in wall at about 1 am)...completing the repairs the following day. This was November or December 2016. He also recommended a water conditioning unit, which we did later have installed. We have some additional work needed for a bathtub trap, drain, and replacing corroded galvanized pipes ... which we have scheduled for a few weeks from now. I called Essig in the morning to schedule a new kitchen faucet. Essig set up a date for replacing a faucet. However about 1 1/2 hours later I received a call that one of their servicepersons were close by and could stop by in 1/2 hour. Yes, of course, I replied that would be terrific and 25 minutes later the repair person, Phil, arrived and in less than a half hour had a new faucet installed in my kitchen.
