This review is for the staff. Nick the cashier and his mom the server. Nick, I heard you say at the end of your shift you are glad everyone is gone. It is painfully obvious you are not a people person or good at customer service. Basic job tasks sent you in a foul mood and your short temper with the customers is cringe worthy. This is a great winery. After getting my hair done on a Friday afternoon, I decided to stop by the tasting room to discover new red wine. I was not disappointed! Beautiful location. Right on a mountain side. Found this place on groupon and what a gem. Started with the voignier, then the trillium, then sangiovese, rodolfo, can sayv, and sticky fingers. We went home with the trillium. This place is smaller and quaint on the inside. 21 and older inside but kids are allowed on the patio. My favorite was the 2010 sticky fingers. Going home with a bottle of that too. If you are ever in the area, it is definitely I nice quaint stop. read more

I had a Groupon for it which comes with a cheese platter, tasting for two and a bottle to go. It's a small winery about 15 minutes from Temecula wine country. The cheese platter wasn't exactly a platter and it seemed kind of just things thrown together served on a plastic plate. I liked the Muscat the most and they had the total of about 15-20 wines. Tasting cost 15 for one separately from the Groupon. The steward didn't tell us much about the wines, she did tell us the grape types they grow and the history of the estate. read more

We decided to sit inside and have the six wine tasting and overall, I preferred the reds although they were all tasty. I left with a bottle of Sangiovese although I liked the port Sticky Fingers as well. Our server, Sacha was kind and had a lovely operatic voice. The blonde woman who was helping pour could have been a bit more generous with the pours. Yes they do have a sweet white dessert wine, as they understand even the most serious of aficionados enjoy a pallete cleanser at the end of the course. She was a delight ... an opera singer with the San Diego Opera and graced us with a beautiful rendition of Ava Maria!! If you're looking to get away to the country, it's an easy drive from San Diego. Bring your camera as the area has many photo ops. If you're looking for a romantic spot, you found your place. My wife and I decided to go for a hike Sunday mid morning so off to Monserate trail we went, passing Pala Mesa Golf resort I noticed an "I winery" sign and thought if I live through the hike it may be a place I want to check out. I've golfed at Pala Mesa several times yet had no information about a winery that close. I survived the hike thou it was little rough, we dusted off and headed towards home kinda, I'm heading to the winery, with a right turn here and a left turn there up the hill we pull into the parking lot, walk down to the tasting room and. Larry's working behind the counter, place is a little quite (my kind of place). After the hike I just wanted to wash my hands prior to tasting, I was sent out back to the most amazing "portapotty" If ever seen, running water and flush toilet. +++++++ Inside the tasting room we decide to share (I'm a bold red guy she's a light white girl) The wines are amazing, the other couple in the room were married the day before. Was fun talking with them and pointing out some cool North County things to do. To close, if you're looking for the cumbered wine tasting that Temecula Valley offers, (pour and Ignore) come here with an open mind, the staff behind the counter wants you to enjoy yourself and inform you. read more
