Bought a groupon so my wife and I (4 month old daughter in tow) decided to come here on V Day. I loved the vibe and the views are amazing. The woman pouring and her mom helping was SUPER nice! Great home based ranch styled cozy winery in Fallbrook directly above Pala Mesa Resort. They're dog friendly with their dog Rocky who greets you upon entering the property! I brought my lab and the two hit it off nicely. The wine tasting starts at $10 and it includes at least 6 tastes...nice variety with my favorite being the Viognier 2011 & Sangiovese 2010 with the Sticky Fingers 2010 being a great dessert wine, sweet but not too sweet. This is the husband speaking and it's my first review of anything ever in my life, but I know writing about how god awful the service here was is completely worth while. Wine is okay nothing memorable in comparison to other wineries in the near vicinity but the lady here was so rude I wanted to leave without finishing the tasting. We will never be coming back here but thank you for showing me the very lowest of costumer service so the next winery I go to is that much better. read more

Went to this winery to celebrate my birthday with some girl friends , and it was such an amazing experience from beginning to end. Sascha, the general manager coordinated everything for my group and made us feel so welcomed. She even sang happy birthday to me, and gifted me with a beautiful handmade necklace. Went and spent the afternoon with Sascha who gave us a wonderful wine tasting of the Iacobelli wines. Outstanding line up of wines!! - Viognier 2014 was a light, crisp white wine, nice finish, no citrus which I dislike - so impressed I bought a bottle - Trillium 2014 had more body with herbal notes - Sangiovese 2010 - Outstanding dry red wine, very nice smooth finish - I bought a bottle - Rodolfo Red 2010 named after the father, super tuscan style was very appropriate, nice nose and aroma - Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 - bursting with flavor, followed by smooth tannins - Sticky Fingers - nice wine and finish, I am not into sweet wines - Rodolfo 2009 (Reserve) - Off the tasting list, but by far the best nose, taste and finish. Rodolfo would be proud. - I bought one of these as well. Sascha was thoroughly knowledgeable about the winery, wines and a great sales person. She also sings opera in the San Diego Opera and graciously sang Ava Maria for us. She was as good sounding as the wine was tasting. Beautiful experience. Thank you. read more

The place has amazing views but closes early as most wineries do. The road to access the house is very dangerous. You can rent the entire home for 1k a night. Wine tasting is decent except the room is very small and you could feel cramped in if there's more than 10 people. Wine server was very sweet and helpful. She even poured an extra tasting!! Wish the would close an hour or two later so I can come by more often after work. read more

I had the opportunity to attend an Anniversary Celebration hosted at estate D'Iacobelli a week ago. We were ferried to the mountain top estate courtesy of Brewen's Empire Trolley so the steepness or windy road was not a concern of mine, having been drinking some wonderful wine all evening. Because we were fortunate enough to be there after hours, we were able to take in the Interstate 15 pass cutting through the mountain joining San Diego and Riverside counties. Lit up with a pair of Red and White ribbons of lights added a special ambiance to the view. The overall tasting room is rather petite - not that that is a bad thing at al - it was very intimate and could make for a very romantic get-a-way, considering that the estate operates as a B&B. The tasting room opens to an interior patio and pool area where we sat under the stars and enjoyed the live music provided for the celebration. When I consider a winery, there are three aspect that I consider. In no particular order, Estate D'Iacobelli definitely rates 5 out of 5 stars for the ambiance. The hospitality of the staff is also very critical to me. Do I feel as if I am being hustled a bottle of wine or a wine club membership or does the people I encounter make me comfortable an relaxed so that I want to buy their wine and come back for more. Well, Ginger and her crew were awesome. There was just enough interaction to let me know a bit about the winery while not dominating my conversations or time and allowing me to mingle with my fellow guests. Everyone was really awesome so it is only right on my scale that I award 5 out of the 5 stars. finally, consideration must be given to the wine. As a small winery, they have a small wine list. Thinking back, I know I tried 2 maybe 3 of their reds including at least one blend that I really enjoyed. In fairness, the party started drinking before we got to the winery and we brought some of our own wine to have wit dinner...so what I drank that night a week ago is a mystery to me - through no fault of the winery. I do know though had I not enjoyed it, I certainly would have remembered the negative aspects - so the right call to make is 5 out of 5 stars (the reality was a very good blend that several of us discussed and enjoyed). So, overall this place is a winner and recommended to anyone who cares. All I can say at this point is drive safe when drinking wine and driving anywhere but especially on seep windy roads. read more

We were so excited to finally begin tasting wines in our home town and chose this winery closest to home. Great location great views except for the freeway noise. Great atmosphere. It was downhill from that point on. Our group was made up of those who make a pilgrimage to Napa/Sanoma for barrel tasting each year for the past 20 year. The pourer in her banter mentioned that she spent her anniversary in the wine country and proceeded to tell us how terrible they all were except for a couple of them. When we mentioned a specific winery she proceeded to tell us how terrible they were. Which is an absolutely inappropriate! We picked our flight of four expecting great things and moved outdoor to enjoy each of them. What a bitter disappointment. The wines were at best an average table wine. Very disappointing and sadly it will not be a winery we will be frequenting in Fallbrook! read more

A group of 16 of us visited the winery this past weekend. We were all there to celebrate our friends 5 year wedding anniversary. Despite our lack of planning and late arrival we were greeted with the best hospitality anyone could have asked for. We all did a wine tasting and took bottles, cutie oranges and tons of laughs home that day. I personally loved how great the staff were with handling all of our needs. The manager, who's name escapes me, made sure that all of our needs were tended to. She went over the top by showing us where we could pick fresh fruit and oranges to take home. She also sang this beautiful anniversary song in the Italian language. Her singing was just amazing! Our friends said that they had the best time and we are looking forward to visiting soon. What a really cool winery this place is. Awesome view with a tasting room nestled into the hill. Sasha was an excellent hostess who provided some great info for the wines. We Didn't taste the whites - but, all the Reds were Yummy. Bought the Sangiovese and the Rudolfo Red. My friend bought the Sticky Fingers even though neither of us likes sweet whites. She got it as a gift and we both tried it and were surprised to see that it wasn't like drinking hummingbird food. Great atmosphere. Don't let the short windy road above the Pala Mesa Resort deter you from stopping here. read more

LOVED this winery! My husband and I always like to try different wineries, and go to Temecula often. I had found this place on groupon a while ago and decided to give it a try! The groupon was for two tastings, 6 pours each, a bottle of Trillum (SO good) and a meat and cheese plate. We were not disappointed! Service was amazing! Sascha was awesome and so helpful. She was busy, but still took the time to interact with all of her customers. The wine is amazing, I definitely recommend trying the Sangiovese and Cab! read more
