After a really unfriendly service experience (and spending $200+), I asked if we could drop off signs for anyone who may be heading to the protest at the capitol after eating. Manager all but eye rolled at me, said, "we don't do politics", turned his back, and walked away. Look, I understand everyone has different opinions, but let's meet each other with respect. Everyone is entitled to express their own beliefs, but the air of privilege on this man was truly disheartening. He could have said something to the effect of, I respect the gesture, but I have to say no. Thanks for understanding. As someone who has been working with goats for quite a few years now this made our Denver trip list strictly due to name. How could we pass up a pub/bar that has goat in the name...? Well we couldn't and after exploring the botanical gardens and grabbing a beer at a brewery this was our chosen spot to grab a bite to eat! We sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly, we did not have a drink so cannot speak to that. Food wise after quite a few days we both felt like being a little on the healthy side. We both decided on a chicken Cesar wrap, only difference is I grabbed fries and my wife had onion rings. In the end we agreed that fries were superior! Honestly the best fries of our trip so far! So crisp thanks to the breading used, that gave the perfect crunch. Onion rings were decent and the wraps were tasty. The vibe is dive bar/sports bar that I assume is a great spot for locals who live nearby. As the name implies they do have a decent amount of decor that is goat related. Two other patrons came in looking to watch a soccer game and the bartender made sure it was on for them. Like I said we cannot speak to the actual bar experience since we skipped on drinks but in our experience it was the perfect stop. May be a little bias in liking and appreciating the name. read more

I would say everything about this experience was adequate, but nothing exceptional. When we walked in, there were no signs that said "seat yourself" so we awkwardly stood at the entrance for a moment until we ultimately decided to pick a table and sit since we weren't greeted. The pub was dead. And there was one bartender/server. It took a while before our order got taken. She wasn't very friendly at all and would interrupt my friend when asking questions about the menu and what came with the entree. Her attitude came off as rude and it felt like we were bothering her. I thought maybe she was having a bad day since she was the only one working, but at some point I overheard her talking awfully nice to some other customer at the bar, and wondered what it was about us that prompted a less than desirable experience. Anyway, I really enjoyed the food and Mexican mules. I had half a buffalo chicken wrap and saved the last half for leftovers. I really enjoyed The Fainting Goat! Ryan did not get to join me for this one but I will definitely be coming back and bringing him with me. I met up with 2 old friends from my home town in Upstate New York. The 3 of us are all picky about our chicken wings and we were very impressed with these. A nice crisp plenty of sauces and lots of flavors to choose from! We also got a couple cocktails. I got a gin drink and my friend John got a coffee drink. The service here was excellent- fast and friendly and answered a lot of my questions and very patient with us. We kept chatting and stayed for a while. I'm always happy to be somewhere I don't feel rushed out of. I got some good to go including some wings to bring home to Ryan which he very much enjoyed that night for dinner. This is a chill pub vibe and they do have a roof top when it's not 0 degrees outside lol. This bar might not look like much on the outside but it's nicer once you're inside. It's a multi-storey yet cozy sports bar that have enough TVs for whatever you'd like to watch. We stopped by for a couple drinks and the staff were happy to serve us. It happened to be happy hour and the prices weren't bad. For about $50 we had 4 beers, 2 shots and 3 plates of shareable food. My partner absolutely loved the chicken wings plus they gave us a huge amount of sauce. The plate of tater tots was both tasty and enormous. Probably too enormous. There's no way we could finish eating that entire plate between the two of us. We also had meatballs which were delicious. Looks delicious just looking at it too. See photos. The speakers are obnoxiously loud. The server was incompetent and not friendly. Got to be at least one of those. Competent or friendly, ideally both. They charge 5.00 for a side of onion rings with your sandwich or burger and they came out stone cold. French dip had no sauce and was cold. Fried pickles are inedibly salty. Great little pub with tvs on the bottom floor, arcade games on the second, and a nice rooftop patio! The drinks and specials are plentiful and the bartender was happy to change the tv to the game we were looking for. For bar food I was pleasantly surprised. Came on a Thursday with some friends for the half price apps. Meatballs were good, green chili was nicely spiced and flavorful. Probably wouldn't have been satisfied paying full price for them. Not really one to go out of my way to celebrate St. Patty's day like that, the bf and I, for some odd reason, found ourselves roaming the streets this year looking for green beer. And by streets, I really just mean Broadway. And thank the Irish Gods because that's exactly where the Fainting Goat lives. So, we didn't drink any green beer, but we did get in on a couple of Irish Car Bombs (because why not) and some food from their Patty's Day menu. Just a handful of items on deck that day, but what we tried were actually very good. The bf with a Reuben and fries - a generous pile of corned beef with swiss in between a couple pieces of rye. Very traditional and very good. I tried Corned Beef and Cabbage for what I think was the first time, and that beef was really delicious - flavorful and not as salty as I was anticipating it to be. Tender and perfectly fatty with a side of cabbage, carrots, and I believe even more corned beef - so good. Irish comfort food I could definitely get down with any day of the year. I can't say much else about the space and food served on non-Irish holidays, though it looks like a pretty popular spot for football games and many drinks. I would not be opposed to making this a new St. P's day tradition. read more

I've been going to the goat for 13 years but hadn't been for awhile. The first thing I noticed was that it was dead at happy hour. All the longtime regulars were gone. Had a few beer and the first bartender insulted me. Fainting Goats always make me laugh so when I saw this place pop-up on Yelp I New I was going to like it. I went in the middle of the day so I didn't get the full experience but what I saw I liked. Bar is big and the bartender was friendly and efficient. They had Cider is to me always the place a true Pub. Everyone on Yelp and the menu said the Fish & Chips was one if not the best in the city so I ordered that. It did not disappoint. Two large well crushed and crunchy pieces of fish and the chips aka fries were good. I would definitely be back to see how they do Happy Hour. read more

How can you not want to hang out at a place called "The Fainting Goat?" Especially when they have board games. And darts. And shuffleboard. So many wonderful things. They even have Woodchuck's Gumption cider, one of my favorites. This is a casual, welcoming, homey pub. Wooden bar and heavy wooden tables, and everything looks kind of old and well-loved in the best way. You feel like you can stay all day and relax. That's pretty much what I did on my last visit. We intended to simply order beer and cider, which we did of course, but we also couldn't help perusing the menu and ordering a fair amount of food. Our waiter was so kind and patient, making sure to clarify with the chef what is gluten free and what isn't. I ended up with a burger sans bun with alllllll the toppings, plus a side of garlic mashed potatoes which were amazing. We enjoyed playing darts even though they were kind of falling apart and the chalkboard thing you're suppose to write on doesn't work at all! Celebrated at fainting goat after the St. Patricks day parade this weekend. It was busy which was fine, it is actually a fairly big place with 3 levels. The rooftop is gorgeous and has great views of the mountains. My girlfriends and I had drinks and food, and probably the best service I've ever experienced in a bar setting. Our waiter, who was also the manager was awesome (I wish I could remember his name!) Everyone seemed to really enjoy their jobs at the fainting goat which was so cool! Mark the owner sat down with us and chatted with the group, he also was so nice and friendly. Had the buffalo chicken wrap with tots and blue cheese..it was very tasty. While walking to a dispensary, we stumbled on a street sign that read: $2 mimosas-So of course we had to go in. These mimosas are nothing like what I have ever seen. They don't use the normal champagne glasses, they literally serve their mimosas in pitcher glasses (pls refer to my picture). 2 drinks later you are feeling really good because they are quite generous on the champagne. Our server was Norman-super chill guy with very attentive customer service. The food was very tasty. I posted pictures on what we all orders.
