We ordered a door out of state, this is the delivery company that was supposed to deliver the door. We got a call saying the truck broke down and we will be there in an hour. They didn't show up. I ordered a furniture product from a local business who gave me a tracking number and the shipping company. Everything was moving along until I was called by the delivery driver at approximately 1:30pm who advised me because my vehicles were in the driveway, he can't put the pallet from the truck there. I advised him that the 3 box packages can be placed on my porch. He stated that he couldn't do that. I then called my neighbor so as to place it on there driveway. The driver then abruptly left saying he called dispatch. I was watching this on my security cameras. I called Estes dispatcher who advised me that the package will be delivered between 4:00and 4:30 pm that same day. Of course when they didn't show up, I called as requested by Steve and Keith to call them back at (504) 667-5018. Of course at 4:47 pm, the business was closed even though the hours were operational until 5:00pm. I am now calling the company I ordered the furniture from and either canceling with a reason why (your company) or asking for a more reliable shipping company such as FedEx or UPS. Terrible way to do business. I will not ever recommend your company. Sure you can say I'm only one person but they add up and social media can be my friend in this situation. I'm giving 3 stars so as to not really increase or decrease their rating much, because I'd say my review is mixed. I've had two recent (last week) deliveries from Estes. One from their Stockton office and one from their Sacramento Office. The Stockton delivery showed up about a week late overall and 1 business day (3 calendar days) after they called me to schedule delivery. This wasn't a huge deal because the delivery wasn't time sensitive to me. Still not super professional to no show after you schedule a delivery. The second delivery wasn't time sensitive in that I absolutely needed the goods ASAP, but it was in the sense that I had to coordinate my schedule and wait around 4 hours in order to receive it. They called me on Friday to tell me the shipment would be delivered between 10am-2pm on Monday. By 4pm on Monday, I called them to advise the delivery never showed up. Lady on the phone told me it wasn't out for delivery there was nothing she could really do about it. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was directed to "Mike" in their Sac office. After listening to me rant for a few minutes about how they wasted my day, Mike called me back and asked if I would be available to receive the delivery after hours at 5pm. They loaded my delivery at 4:30pm in West Sac (about 108 degrees at the time) and delivered it to me in Elk Grove at 5pm. I can only assume the extra $50 they had to spend on Fuel and overtime pay for a driver to stay a couple hours late probably meant they didn't make much on my delivery. Mike helped a bunch. But it seems like it would be much easier to just set a realistic timeframe for delivery. If you're probably not gonna make it, don't book it for that time. Ordered a vanity from Lowes. They contracted out the delivery to a shipper,Atlas International, who then contracted out the final delivery to Estes Freight delivery service in Sacramento. It was a 55 inch bathroom vanity with quartz top. The delivery person got it on a pallet (which a neighbor helped him get up the driveway), and pulled it to the front door. When I told him I wanted to inspect the vanity before accepting deliver, he tucked the receipt under one of the straps in the box and left. I have no idea how I'll get this inside my house. The worst delivery service I've ever had. I spoke to a company customer service person who said they would speak to the driver about the quality of his service. Incompetence is the word that comes to mind in dealing with Estes. I'm on my 5th promised delivery date and still no delivery. They gave me 4 hour windows each time but failed to notify me that the delivery was not happening for some lame excuse so I've wasted 20 hours waiting so far and had workers on site waiting for a promised shipment that didn't happen. Terrible drivers, terrible customer service and terrible staff. One of the drivers damaged one of my clients mailbox and refused to take responsibility. There were multiple witnesses but John Holland said he was making it up. They also cant follow simple shipping instructions. They say: 'We go above and beyond the call of delivery every day' - HAH, what a joke! I received their automated phone call advising of the day and timeframe when my furniture would be delivered -- a day when I wasn't going to be home. I called and left 7 different voicemails, asking someone to please call me to work out an agreeable date. You really need to have luck on your side, to use this company. Worst delivery ever. I wouldnt recommend this company at all. This should be a zero star. Their delivery driver left my 900 lb order at the bottom of my driveway, blocking my access to my garage. When I asked the driver to move it, he said no and took off. I was even thinking of helping him push the boxes on his pallet jack, but he just drove away. He even told me to just move the boxes on my own. Driver then loaded his pallet jack on his truck and left . You call that service? Driver was complaining that the delivery was too heavy. Unbelievable!!! Like he's doing the delivery for free. Was he supposed to be punching paper holes in the office but decided to deliver that day instead? now its my problem to unblock my own drive way? You say it can't be found, but my shipment shows that it has arrived at your Sacramento terminal. , You can check when the shipment arrive at your terminal to know where the goods are going to, check what time they scanned, and then check the truck entering your terminal at that time. I ordered a new sink vanity via Home Depot and they delivered to me in N CA via Estes Level 2 Logistics. This IS this same company. The driver did NOT knock and instead left the item behind my car, in my skinny, barely one car wide driveway. Then he drove away! I cannot pick up the item myself, I'm a single mother and my children are still small. My doorway is a mere 3 feet away but is up 3 steps. I also, cannot move the item from behind my car which means I'm trapped here!!! I'm on the line with them now and they claim I didn't order "white glove" service so the driver is supposed to knock and drop. I'm trying to argue he needs to come back because he's trapped me in my home. PS: Home Depot doesn't give "options" so whatever they believe white glove to be...they definitely do NOT offer "common courtesy" service either! read more

It is my opinion that Estes has stolen my freight. They claim it was delivered yet cannot prove it because the driver magically did not track any of his deliveries that day. There is zero accountability of my freight anywhere on record other than the driver's word that it was delivered. No standard delivery or tracking protocols were followed, yet Estes will not even own up to one ounce of their lack of accountability. Here's what happened.. From spending about 4 hours on the phone between being transferred to different Estes folk all over the country and on hold over the course of the past couple weeks, all I've gleaned from Estes is that the driver said he delivered it. Except that, he didn't turn on his truck's GPS tracking that day, so they have no way to prove where he was that whole day. Oh, and he didn't take a picture as proof of delivery, also one of their standard practices according to an Estes rep. And he never placed a phone call when he was 30 minutes out from delivery which I'm told is supposed to happen. The tracking number I have still even says to check back later for updates! But yet, they told Home Depot that they delivered it so their word is law and that's all they have to say about that. When you see those ads on Craigslist or similar sites for brand new appliances for dirt cheap or other big box store items that would normally ship freight, they probably come from dishonest freight workers who have made a hefty profit from stealing from residential customers because they can just claim it was delivered without ever having to actually prove it. Hopefully someone out there is enjoying my fenced goods at a discount and their lives are improved, that at least would be one small comfort. If you have the misfortune of having an online order potentially ship through this carrier, do yourself a favor and choose the ship to store option instead. read more

I ordered a picnic table on June 16, and ordered status showed "Delivered." I called and told them about it. Shipping company told me that the delivery will be next day. I asked my son to work from home, open the garage door and gate so that these delivery guys will know that someone is in the house. Nothing was delivered. I called again the next day, Estes Express Line staff told me that it is on its way and be at my home July 17. Nothing was delivered. When I called again they said nobody was home!!! I do not mind the long delay but to LIE to your customer is UNACCEPTABLE. I am not surprise why they Yelp rating was 2.00 I should add to this rating. Wow-contractors and builders beware! If I could give a zero I would. I've NEVER given a zero on yelp. This group is lousy. I have been waiting since Friday for a box to be delivered to SF. I tracked my Pro # online and it was delivered to Sac on Friday. I have called Mon and Tue. Today they tell me the item is still "on the truck waiting to be unloaded." It's 6 inch by 6' deck boards-4 to a box. Seriously? I have been on hold waiting for a supervisor for 40 minutes. Today I received this never mentioned email in response to 2 written complaints: "Thank you for contacting Estes Express Lines. Most residential shipments require an appointment to assure someone is present to accept and sign for the freight. This shipment is to be delivered by Estes Final Mile and you should be contacted 1-2 business days after the freight unloads at their terminal to schedule a convenient delivery time." Absolute worst. They picked up a table from my house to return to the vendor. They have no record of it. The vendor will not reimburse the thousands of dollars we paid bc Estes has no tracking of the table. Estes refuses to reimburse me though they acknowledge it was scheduled to be picked up at my house on the specific day. So they are just refusing to be responsible. When i saw all the dismal reviews of Estes online i shuttered to think of our new tankless water heater (purchased from Home Depot) being shipped via Estes, but i am pleased to report that everything went smoothly. I got the 'pro' number from Home depot in advance and was able to track the shipment online. We were able to call Estes with no problem at the west sac distribution center and arrange to pic up our item on the target date instead of having it delivered to our house. read more
