The sheets had clearly been slept in. I've read about some hotels not changing sheets after a one night stay but this is the first time I've actually experienced it. And at a Marriott! There were little sugar ants around the bathroom area. Not many, but they just kept appearing. When I complained the staff told me it was because they are located in the woods. So there's an accident on the expressway slowing us down we've been the car for HOURS it's been a pretty crappy week could really use a few minute soak in the hot tub so I call the front desk to ask nicely if they could please grace us a few minutes when we arrive as it will be 9 minutes to 10 when we arrive and we'll still have to check in and change. The front desk had the opportunity to make my week better and my stay more pleasant and chose not to. It closes at 10 no exceptions. It's Hilton policy... too bad their policy isn't to provide an exceptional guest experience. My policy is to leave 1 star reviews for subpar services no exceptions. The staff's response was cold and dismissive, even as I was visibly upset and trying to explain the miscommunication. The front desk blamed a third-party booking agency I didn't even use for the mistake and refused to help. When compassion was most needed, I found none. This insensitive experience has made a tragic week more difficult, and I will not be returning.

When we pulled up we were a bit unsure as the outside could use a little tlc. We entered the lobby and I found the front desk clerk to be a little unfriendly which also made me a little nervous. Then we entered our suite and we couldn't have been happier! A full kitchen, living room and two bedrooms each with their own bathroom. The suite as a whole couldn't be more perfect. I am not a big fan of most continental breakfasts but again we were quite surprised and the options and set up. Even waffles! The only cons we have are the room was not cleaned while we were out and I had requested someone look at the toilet as it runs nonstop and no one came. Neither of those cons would be enough to keep us from returning or going to another location!

I spend 120+ nights per year in hotels and presently hold Titanium with Marriott and Diamond with Hilton. I routinely experience one or more problems with hotels about once a month, but this is one of the 2-3 times a year I feel the need to document the issue(s) in a formal complaint.  When I arrived at your property I arrived after dark, so I couldn't see the exterior of your property. Had I seen it, I would've immediately cancelled my stay due to my core belief- if you don't maintain the exterior, you don't maintain the interior. I'm attaching photos so that you can see things from my perspective. The dirt and rust on the exterior of your property leaves it looking more like a Motel 6 than a Marriott property. Even the sidewalk was littered with trash and dog feces.  Exhausted and traveling with my wife and son, we just wanted to sleep. The TV in the bedroom to the right of room 320 was not functional. Although the light was on, neither the remote nor the power button would turn it on. Your TV's are so old and poorly installed that it doesn't surprise me it didn't work. Frankly, I don't recall seeing TV's of that model in ANY Marriott in years and even then that small old model was usually found in the lower end chains of Marriott not Residence Inn.  We let him use the living room TV and went to bed. The overall cleanliness seemed ok, but the deodorizing spray smell was very heavy. It wasn't until we'd been in the room for a few hours that we realized it was used to mask the odor of marijuana smoke- a smell that become overpowering after we'd become nose-blind to the deodorizer. It wasn't until the next morning that the true condition of the room became apparent.  You'll notice the photos I took of areas like the track for the closet door, telephone and similar areas. This room was in dire need of a deep cleaning. Everywhere throughout the room there were deep ruts of dirt and grime that a simple brush and deep cleaning would erase. The overall condition of the room was poor, including furniture that was long past its lifespan and in poor condition. The mirror in the bedroom on the left was cracked- a serious safety concern for parents with small children.  The mattresses were rock hard and stained, the pillows were also extremely poor quality.  In closing, I only had one interaction with your staff when I asked for a business card for the manager. The woman who was present upon checkout at approximately noon looked at me and motioned to the card holder on the front desk, which I hadn't noticed. In my experience, properly trained staff will ask if there is something they can assist with before handing out a card. She didn't seem to notice or care, which is a great description for the condition of your hotel and likely indicative of its causation.  You wanted my opinion, you have received it. Your property will be added to a list of properties maintain by myself and coworkers, places to be avoided at all costs. I wish you the best, you have a monumental task ahead of you.

One of the staffers followed children into my hotel room, when we sent them up for quiet relax time, and held the door oden while trying to go in. It was incredibly stressful for the kids on the team. They didn't try to work with either team, they just wanted to kick us out. Between the 2 team there, we brought the hotel in $25,000 (easily) that weekend. But they treated us so poorly.

I reminded them @ the front desk at 1 pm to make up the room then called the front desk again at 3:30 pm when it still wasn't done. At 6 pm we left for dinner & again told the front desk to make up the room. They said housekeeping had left for the day (!). This time they sent up the clean towels though. They finally made up the room on 6/30. Left 7/1. 3 stars because the pool & room were nice. Fitness center was okay; please put in a freestanding bench, there's plenty of room. Could do A LOT more with all those free weights if there was a bench. Our refrigerator froze everything we put in it, even on the lowest setting, which was annoying. Desk lamp in our room (412) did not work.

From the outside, it looks like an older place, but the rooms are very modern. I did not expect it to be so nice inside. In fact, the bed was very comfortable, there was a large flat-screen TV and plenty of amenities were included. (Fridge, microwave, hair dryer) A few minor things that I was not impressed by: The woman at the desk was short in tone, but then again it was midnight, so I'll give her a pass. She seemed very skeptical that I had pre-booked the room online, but as soon as she got over that fact, things were fine. Parking is quite limited and the setup is strange. Parking for the building down the hill consists of like three or four slanted spots. Four spaces for at least twice as many rooms? Finally, I was hoping to find a laundry facility on site, but that was one of the few things they did not have. Overall, I would recommend this inn, as it holds true to it's name and is a good value.
