Home style little family breakfast/lunch spot. Just a good old fashioned breakfast with excellent prices. We had the country omelette and fried egg sandwich. Best. Egg Sandwich. EVER!!! Highly recommend!

Are you looking for fancy decor? If so... beat it. This is a dive and they know it. There is a communal table in the middle and "seat-yourself" 2 and 4 tops around a sparsely decorated dining area. The staff is quick, friendly, and fun. More importantly, the coffee is GOOD. Did you forget your glasses? Doesn't matter, Ethel & Fred have your back! They put the menu is extra large font (They should win some sort of restaurant award! GENIUS! A menu you can read!) Our group ordered breakfast and everyone loved it. Nothing fancy but the price we AWESOME! Thumbs up to the neighborhood diner!!

Stopped by here for lunch today with my mom. We sat ourself and our server quickly approached us. She was very friendly and helpful. She took our drink order and delivered our drinks promptly. Our food order was promptly taken. I ordered meatloaf, garlic mash, gravy, and kernel corn. Our meals was delivered promptly and I have to say that the meatloaf is the best I have eaten in the county. Absolutely delicious. The garlic mash was also exceptional and very tasty. The kernel corn was good. The patty melt my mom ate I am happy to report was very good. The side of veggies she had was excellent I will definately be back soon.

As mentioned in other reviews, the atmosphere is lacking, reminded me of an open bingo hall to be honest. They have a couple murals that obviously has effort put into them but did not fill the vast space, and some of the lights need replacing. It's obviously a mom and pop business that might be struggling but when it comes down to the food, I have no complaints. The pricing makes it a great value, I ordered the pot pie and I quite enjoyed it. You also get decent side options making it overall quite the portion size. Also as mentioned previously it is served HOT. While the ingredients may not have been homemade I had no concerns of it being cooked improperly. As food is the main reason you would choose this I'm not going to fault them on appearance. Even though it isn't the prettiest, it was a clean facility and the staff was pleasant.

Our absolute favorite place to go for great, home cooked, comfort food!!! Chicken pot pie is a special and when they have it, I always take home several, soooo good!! Same with shepherds pie!! Pancakes are wonderful and very large and filling. Homemade desserts, great service, and still great prices!!

Service was ok, food was mediocre how do you send pancakes out that look like this, cook and server had no pride in the presentation of this pancake breakfast.

Th guy ahead of me was also giving him a hard time. Kudos for keeping your cool. I got the chicken caprese panini! It was delicious! The chicken was great with the pesto and mozzarella! It was fresh, expansive, reasonably priced, and I thoroughly enjoyed the salad I made. If I returned, that would be the only reason. The baked potato soup was extremely gelatinous and had a strange, off-putting flavor. I tried to force myself to eat it but couldn't manage more than three spoonfuls. The texture was honestly like eating Silly Putty. The quarter muffaletta was even more disappointing. For around $15, it arrived with only two thin pieces of turkey--and no other meat, which is hardly what anyone expects from a muffaletta. When we pointed out how little meat was on it, we were brought a plate containing two more pieces of the same turkey. It still came nowhere close to being worth the price. There were also mops and cleaning supplies sitting throughout the restaurant, several tables hadn't been bussed, and the staff was less than friendly. Between the cafeteria-like atmosphere, poor food, and inflated prices, this was a two-star experience. The fresh salad bar kept it from being a one, but I wouldn't recommend ordering anything else.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Out of all the sub and hoagie restaurants located within southern Brevard County, specifically Palm Bay, Malabar, and Bayside Lakes, the one location that is both historic and iconic is Mash Hoagies (which I will shorthand simply to Mash for the remainder of this review). Mash has been in the same location for literal decades in the Palm Bay West just north of Winn Dixie (soon to be Aldi) and Little Ceasar's. First and foremost, Mash isn't the most visually-appealing place to eat. The dining room setup and colors are definitely out of the 70s, the time when the show the restaurant is based on, M*A*S*H*, came out. The walls right above each both showcases handdrawn charicaures of the actors in character. The cleanliness of the restaurant is up-to-par but more on the lines of better than fast food but just as good as fast casual. What makes Mash one of the best places to get your hoagies are three things: the family friendliness, the better-than-fair prices, and the overall deliciousness of the food. As an example, I will describe one of my orders with them, the "Italian Special" known as the Hawkeye. Named after the character, Hawkeye Pierce, played by Alan Alda and Donald Sutherland, the footlong sandwich consists of ham, capicola, salami, and provolone. You can load any sandwich to the brim with basic ingredients with premium ingredients costing a little bit more. But for $12 for a homemade behometh of a sandwich that is sure to feed a regular person three meals a day, it is a delicous steal. Add on top that the staff is friendly and sometimes will have a nice conversation with you while they make your sandwich. As mentioned earlier, Mash is homegrown with multiple decades serving the community. They have developed a family feel that has kept them more than alive and kicking through the highest highs like when Palm Bay West was the "it strip mall" for Palm Bay (because it was the only major strip mall in Palm Bay) to downward slumps like the (illegal?) pandemic. My suggestion is Carissa. She is very kind and she's been the one to make my sandwich almost every single time I have been there since I started Yelp (Eliting!). I must stress that overall, Mash does not have "the best" particular sandwich I can think of off the top of my head, but they are more than satisfactory and acceptable. For example, I can name a couple of Cuban restaurants that do better Cuban sandwiches than Mash (Hemingway's Tavern and El Ambia for example), but you can't go wrong if you want a Cuban from them either for convenience, price, etc. Given the many times I have been here pre-Yelp as well during my Yelp career, I am going to give Mash a five-out-five star rating. They've always been delicious with good food, good prices, and good service. As for restaurants within Palm Bay West, you can't go any better.

There was nobody at the door and nobody behind the counter and a sign that said order at the kiosk. It was a little odd it really gave ghost kitchen vibes. What's the order was entered into the computer and paid somebody came out from back of the kitchen and began to make my food. I'm not sure if he even said hello to me but he did his job perfect. Once it was done he put it up in the window and I was able to take it. The store is a great paint shop inside it's just so weird that you can't sit there and eat your sandwich. Now the chicken sandwich itself seemed like it was massively over size. I had chicken breast hanging out both sides of the bun. And it wasn't a crappy Patty that you're used to at normal fast food places. It was pretty good a nice juicy and a Buffalo wasn't too spicy it was great. Only question is that these chickens at their serving up have such big boobies that I'm wondering if this is a Turkey breast. Of course it's not a Turkey but it's so big it'll make you think it was. Overall I'm looking forward to coming back and trying some more menu items.
