Grand opening was on May 15, 2026.
Läderach is Swiss German name of the owner. Started in 1962, founder is Rudolf Läderach Jr. His son Jürg Läderach took over for him in 1994. In 2004, they invented FrischSchoggi, Swiss German for "Fresh Chocolate."
Jürg's oldest son, Johannes Läderach was appointed global CEO of the family company in 2018, and on that same year his brother, Elias Läderach won the World Chocolate Master in Paris, becoming the first Swiss chocolatier to earn the title.
Inside the shop is bright and inviting, and filled with amazing fresh chocolates that are crafted without artificial preservatives. They sell handcrafted pralines and truffles.
Beautiful, large chocolate bark slabs are displayed on the counter. There's a nice selection of Swiss milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and white chocolate. They have chocolate with nuts including hazelnut, almond, orange-almond, pistachios, and Dubai milk, chocolate with fruits like strawberry-curd, raspberry-blackberry, and coconut.
It's nice they let you try a chocolate sample before purchase.
Ordering is simple and easy. You point to the flavor you want, and tell the staff how much you want by weight or piece size. They'll break off a custom chunk from the chocolate slab, weigh it on a scale, and price is based on the exact weight.
I purchased FrischSchoggi Mixed Fruit White, which is a white chocolate bark with crunchy caramelized almonds, whole pistachios, and candied orange, my total came to $9.30, the portion size was just right and not too big. Flavor and texture is remarkable and superb!
Usually white chocolate is very sweet, but the white chocolate at Läderach taste perfect, it's light, smooth, nicely balanced, and not too sweet, that makes me happy!
Kaitlyn is the shift lead, she's a pleasure to speak with and very knowledgeable. She mentioned the shelf life for truffles and chocolate bark is 4 to 6 weeks. They also have mini mousses, which are like marshmallows without the gelatin, flavor is on top, wafer at the bottom, and meringue in the middle.
Service from Sam, Kaitlyn, Arlene is very kind, welcoming, helpful, friendly, and pleasant! Läderach Swiss chocolates are exceptionally high quality, and they'll be opening another store at The Venetian, I'm excited!
