    It was ok chicken

Sadly we were very dissatisfied today! I got the ribeye and I wasn't happy with the quality. Meat was tougher than what I like in a steakhouse! My husband ordered the pasta with shrimp. Well the shrimp were way over cooked. We had to send it back. When he got the other plate it was done right. Overall I'm not sure I want to spend over $200 on a meal that is mediocre. Service was also a fail. I asked about the chicken if it had white meat. His answer was vague and basically didn't answer my question. He seemed nervous so I'll assume he was new.

I gave Paul Martin a second chance.... I came without a reservation (it was pretty empty) and the hostess asked if we had one which I said no... and then we got sat in the corner by the kitchen double doors away from everywhere else that was there. That's weird.... I believe our waiter was Raul, he was extremely nice and attentive. I ordered the short rib, something I did not have from the past. This was... decent. For the price, I was not impressed at all. I would imagine a lighter taste to it-- the short rib was extremely rich in flavor. I tried to use the mashed potatoes to balance it. Oh gosh, the mashed potatoes ... what are those??? It tasted like it was made with water. It just tasted so weird. I never had mashed potatoes like this before. Very bland tasting-- no sense of flavor whatsoever. I even asked my friend to try it in which they also agreed. It was bland. Weird texture. Not fluffy. Not creamy. I can't describe it. The only thing that I really cared about was the butter cake. I remembered this from last time and it still hits the same. Out of everything I tried on their menu this is the only consistent good thing. Anyways for an almost $200 dinner for 2 people, the food was very subpar. I'm officially closing the book on this restaurant. Unless it's that butter cake.

I have been here several times. Always for a business dinner. It has always been great. The food is solid. The service is solid. The vibe is nice. They do have a private dining room but we have also been on the patio. There is valet parking available or free parking in the parking structure. Never had a problem finding parking.

Steak tacos. Good. A little salty. The coleslaw mid.

I went for a Saturday afternoon Happy Hour and it was excellent! 2:00-6:00 pm in the bar. The bar has many if nice tables. The deals $18 for an Angus burger, with fries and a cocktail or beer. I had a LA Ale house "hazy" beer, it was fruity, don't know the name but was extremely refreshing. Also had steak tacos and flatbread. Those were also very good. The tacos maybe slightly salty but still good. I'll return.

Went to Paul Martin's for Father's Day. Place was packed. The staff was very considerate, the manager was on the floor making sure guest were happy. Food was delicious, had the artichoke spinach dip and the cheese biscuits for appetizers. Main dish was the filet mignon, with garlic butter. It was ordered as medium well bcus I like medium, however, my experience in my world travels is that chefs notoriously under cook steaks 9/10 times. So what I got was medium rare, it was still good but I even double checked with my server to confirm I ordered medium well. The manager was sent over ( not requested) and I explained to her, everything was great but especially on Father's Day, all us men just want the steaks made the we ordered. She took care of us and we will return again.

Went for lunch and had a great experience. The portobello mushroom sandwich was fresh and flavorful with thick slices of mushroom. The salad was light and refreshing, which paired perfectly with the meal. The service was outstanding -- our server was attentive, friendly, and had a great memory throughout our visit.

Had a 5:30 reservation to celebrate my friends 38th birthday. Our server Kris was amazing and the manager Lily was very attentive as well. The happy hour specials were very good and a nice selection. We will be back!

Shoutout to Isabela for her exquisite service, and to the manager for the amazing late-night happy hour menu! A delicious burger paired with an IPA for under $20--you really can't go wrong here! Great service, great food, and an even better deal.

Popped in here for a quick bite to eat and really enjoyed the general ambiance. Inside of the restaurant is decorated very nicely with exposed beams and warm earthy tones and it really set the mood for a nice bite to eat. We were greeted when we walked in and sat down immediately , our Server Isabelle was really nice and was attentive without disrupting the flow of our conversation. We ordered from their express lunch menu , The Buttermilk Fries Chicken and it was a really delicious and a good amount of food. No delay is bringing us the check Will be back again and highly recommend.

Excellent service, with excellent food.... As usual. The server did forget our water we ordered a couple of times.... But overall it was good. The ambiance is relaxing and comfortable. The lighting is good and makes for a good place to visit with good conversation and enjoy good food. Highly recommend.

    Blackened Ribeye

First time at this resto. We were a large party having a celebratory lunch. The food was quite delicious and more tasty than I expected. Since we were a large party, we had to order off a set menu of choice of protein (beef, chicken or fish) and a vegetarian option. It was a set 3-course meal prefaced by flatbread, shrimp cocktail and cheddar biscuits. My husband I opted for: House salad. It was fine. It was a salad. Caesar Salad. It was fine. It tasted like they used pre-made dressing. Thankfully, they were not heavy handed. Sometimes salads are served drowned in dressing. Blackened ribeye with garlic shrimp. This was quite delicious. The ribeye grilled to medium-rare and the garlic shrimp perfectly cooked. I thought I would not like the sauce, but it definitely added to the dish. Brick chicken was prepared well. The chicken was moist, juicy and definitely not dry. This is a good option for the folks who always order chicken! Fruit bowl. A light option for dessert. Butter cake. It was fine. Personally, I wish the edges were crispier. My only real "complaint " was about the service. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. However, their timing and coordination could've been better. There was a lot of downtime in between courses. They also didn't take away used plates until I asked them to after they served the next course. Perhaps they were busy or perhaps they were still in training but this aspect of their service for a large group can be improved. A parking structure is nearby. Try it! Enjoy!

The ribs had a slightly sweet taste to their sauce which is totally up my alley. My sister loved the meatloaf. The soft protein mixed with the crispy onions and veggies was a good mix. The appetizers were so good; the shrimp was nice and plump. The steak in the petit plate was so tender. And the chicken piccata was hearty and plentiful. The sushi roll was meh though. The Bloody Marys used to be exceptional, accompanied by their delicious fried blue cheese-stuffed olives. This time, I had to ask for the blue cheese olives, and they were served separately and were very different than they were in the past. The asparagus fries were also disappointing and not nearly as good as they used to be. For our entrées, the Chilean sea bass was overcooked, and the mashed potatoes were so dense it was like eating plaster. Overall, the food simply did not meet the standard Nick's was once known for. What was most disappointing was the experience with my certified service animal. Despite dining with a service dog, no one offered a water bowl, and I was told that I could not feed her the plain burger patty I had ordered and paid full price for. The interaction felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. Unfortunately, this visit was nothing like the Nick's we used to love. It's disappointing to see such a decline in both food quality and hospitality from what was once a favorite destination.

They also bring out complimentary bread and butter, which was a nice touch while waiting for the rest of the meal. I also ordered the Caesar salad. It was fresh, crisp, and a good lighter option before the main course. For the main course, I went with the 22 oz bone in ribeye cooked medium rare. The steak was the highlight of the meal. It was cooked exactly how I wanted it, with a nice seared exterior and a tender, flavorful center. For the side, I got the lobster mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were creamy and rich, and the lobster added another layer of flavor that paired really well with the steak. The hospitality was amazing. Kept asking how was everything. Kept refilling water. Great staff. Overall, everything from the appetizers to the steak and sides made for a really good dinner. The 22 oz bone in ribeye with the lobster mashed potatoes was definitely my favorite combination. I'll definitely be back to Eddie V's.

As a first-time guest, I was pleased to be shown to a quiet, elegant area of the dining room that seemed well suited to an upscale dinner. Shortly after being seated, however, the server learned that I intended to order one of your signature dishes. The manager on duty, Nick, then asked me to relocate to a table near the bar. That area was considerably louder and far less comfortable than the table where I had been seated. Being moved to such a noisy location detracted from what I had expected to be a refined, relaxed meal and made it difficult to enjoy both the food and drinks. For future reference, I would expect that guests ordering signature or higher-priced menu items be accommodated in an environment consistent with the restaurant's upscale positioning. I was informed the only way I could sit in the scale, elegant area of the restaurant if I decided to order something different off the menu. It's almost like I was being told what to order. I didn't appreciate that. I was also disturbed by the way the server handled the gratuity. The interaction felt pushy and made me uncomfortable; I did not appreciate that approach. Professional, tactful communication about service and payment is essential, especially in a fine-dining setting, and this encounter fell short of that standard. Finally, I was disappointed by the overall value of the experience. Despite spending a significant amount, the service and portioning -- in particular two small scoops of lobster served over bread -- did not meet the expectations I had for an establishment of your reputation and price point. I am sharing this feedback because I had high hopes for my visit and was ultimately let down. I would welcome your response addressing these concerns and any steps you plan to take to prevent similar experiences for other guests. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, TSR ‍

Went in for lunch and everything started off fine. Someone at our table asked for the bar menu, and although we weren't planning on having a long lunch, we ultimately all decided to go with the churrasco and didn't order anything from the bar menu. The meat servers were on point. They came by quickly and constantly, which is always appreciated at this type of establishment. After a while, though, our waitress stopped checking on the table. We eventually had to ask one of the meat servers to grab her so we could get drink refills. No big deal, things happen, and she came over quickly once we asked. What rubbed me the wrong way was another male server nearby who came over looking visibly annoyed and asked if we needed our server. I told him she had already taken care of us, and he just walked away without saying a word. I'd suggest approaching a table with a little better customer service, especially when the guests are simply trying to enjoy their meal. There was really no reason to bring a poor attitude over to our table. We still tipped 20% because the meat servers worked hard and I didn't want them taking a hit for the overall service. Unfortunately, our waitress didn't seem too concerned either. No thank you or acknowledgment at the end, just dropped off the check and bounced. Still a fan of the food and I've had plenty of good experiences here. Hopefully this was just an off day on the service side.

Overall, the food was good, but I'm not totally convinced it matches the price point. The prawn was definitely a standout -- really delicious and probably my favorite of the dishes we tried. The cookie was a little on the dry side, though, and the steak was honestly underwhelming for a $120 price tag. The drinks were much more impressive: well-made, nicely balanced, and definitely on the sweeter side Service was definitely on point. They weren't constantly checking in, which I actually appreciated, but whenever we needed something, someone was there and very attentive. Everyone was also friendly and welcoming throughout the meal The ambiance leans more toward a bar-restaurant than traditional fine dining, but the interior has some classy design elements and definitely gives off that modern LA fine-dining feel I'd probably come back to try some of the other dishes before making a final judgment. There were definitely some highlights, and overall, I'd still say it's worth a visit if you're in the area -- just go in knowing the prices are on the higher side
