Had a last minute dinner here with my sister friend while I was in town. It was so easy to get in, we didn't have a reservation. The staff were professional, warm and friendly as well. I had a veggie burger and my friend had a chicken sandwich. We enjoyed the food! That veggie burger was incredible! I will definitely return for it. The ambiance was nice. The Floor is Lava, the best way for me to describe this is that it has a very bold and robust flavor its made with Mezcal tequila. I've never tasted anything like it, but I really enjoyed it. The food: Crispy Grilled Brussels Sprouts, very tasty! If you love vegetables, these are great. Skinny Double Stack, fist off, this is the name I'm giving this because there's no bun, lol. Broccilini with parmasean and pepper flakes. Two beef patties, cheese, bacon, grilled onions, jalapeños, spicy pickles, topped with avacado, on a bed of arugala. Or another way to describe this is Excellent! A flavor party in your mouth. I had the pleasure of sitting next to whom I later found out was the manager - Donovan. The Skinny Double Stack was what he had ordered. When it came out; it looked and smelled so good. So I asked to order his exact plate, and I am glad I did. The Food here is 10/10 delicious! The only reason I'm leaving this review is because the service lately has been terrible and needs to be fixed. Sometimes I like to get my family food to go and every single time that I do there is ALWAYS something missing like I can't stress that enough and I've ordered 5 times this month alone and each time something is missing. I feel like when it comes to take out the fact that things are missing constantly is an issue because you don't have workers that are actually checking to see that everything you ordered is there. At first I thought it was a one time thing, but the fact that I go through that every single time on an order that is over a $100 is ridiculous. ( And no this isn't an order over Uber eats this is me ordering through their website and picking it up myself) Not to mention the handling of guest when they first show up is terrible because you constantly have workers who walk past you and don't attend you until 5 minutes later. Hey Folks, I am writing a review because the food at Eureka is phenomenal. The first time I ordered from Eureka was through UberEats, and my food was to my liking. The second time I went to Eureka, I sat at the bar, and Victoria took my order. Needless to say, I did not like being served by Victoria. She was rude in her delivery and responses. I ordered a fig burger and sweet potato fries. I mentioned to Victoria that I would like my burger well done and juicy. She told me those are two different things and she does not know what I mean (in a rude tone and body language). Respectfully, I understood, and I told her I would like to see no pink meat yet I want my burger juicy. She said, "how about medium well." I told her that is fine. Then she threw in the comment, "I am no cook." I mean, clearly, you are not the cook; you are the bartender. That comment was clearly not needed. I forgot to inform her I wanted my order to go. So I told her, and she brought me out a to-go box. I thought that was a bit odd, as I had not even gotten my food yet. At some point, I grabbed a black straw. When she noticed, she scrunched up her face and said, "Would you like a regular straw?" I told her I guess so. She said, "Here is a regular straw. That is so unsanitary; I have to throw them all away. It is a shame I have to move them way over here because customers like you touch them." I did not say anything after that. To my surprise as she walked to the back, she grazed the wall with her hand, then came back to the bartending area to make drinks and take orders. When she was making drinks, she was touching folks' sliced oranges and whatnot. When I paid I asked can I use my phone to tap. She told me they take Apple Pay. I went ahead scanned my face, then handed her my phone. She grabbed it with a napkin (that is fine). Then she handed me back my phone, receipt, and a pen. I signed the receipt and she picked up my receipt and the pen I used with her bare hands. Another employee brought out my food. I asked for honey for my sweet potato fries. She was nice and brought out one pack for me. When she brought out the one package, I said hey can I have two more please. She said "yea". When she brought my additional packages I told her thank you and she gave a stale look without saying you're welcome. Love the food!!! Did not like being served by Victoria. The games are not played simultaneously so the fact that they didn't have the right live game on TV was weird especially when everyone there was in full NFL gear. I know the place is not a sports bar but you should embrace whatever brings people through the door. Especially when one of the games is being played 3 miles away. At every moment when someone told them to change the channel they all seemed bothered especially the blonde waitress with blue highlights. We heard her mumbling "I don't go to other people's jobs and yell" guests are just trying to have a good time. Food: the fries were salty beyond enjoyment, served without ketchup. This is our go to place for "Night out, close to home." It's also the default place to take visitors, especially if they happen to be bourbon enthusiasts like we are and you want to have something other than what EVERY decent bar has (Marker's Mark, Woodford Reserve and now even Jefferson's - we have one or all of that at home). Food, service, ambiance are all top notch. They've had few issues during and post pandemic, but as long as a place honestly is up front about those things we let it slid. What we really want to do is finally either go in the summer in early evening or have lunch to watch the planes take off & land. Especially summer, when that Bi-plane is up here from San Diego offering rides or the guy with the silver WW II T-6 trainer takes it out for spin (as he did Saturday during lunch but we were driving by headed to the Huntington to join friends). read more

Overall good food and service. I got the spicy fried chicken sandwich here and it was pretty good. Not that spicy to be honest as someone who enjoys genuine Nashville hot chicken. Also, I was surprised to find cilantro in the slaw (I have that soapy cilantro gene, womp) so unfortunately I had to scrape all the slaw off. So, if you have that cilantro thing beware. Eureka is a very unique restaurant located inside the Hawthorne Airport. I have passed by this hidden gem so many times. The CEO of Tesla Elon Musk's building is right next door to the restaurant with a huge rocket in the front of his building. This is the only restaurant in the area, there is free parking in the front and as well as the rear. We were seated in the enclosed patio with open glass. Sitting in the patio can be a bit noisy plus you have the smell of the airplane flames while you're eating, but the view is awesome. The restrooms are located in the airport lobby. There is a lot that they offer on their menu, so choose wisely and go during happy hour, you get so of the favorite at half the price. We had the mac & cheese balls, which were so very good, the truffle fries, I have had better, new the Brussels sprouts with chimichurri on top was the bomb! The chicken wings were perfectly cooked. Recently came here before going to the game and it's a pretty cool spot to come grab a drink, get some grub, watch some sports on the tv, and catch a couple planes and helicopters coming and going. They have a nice little outdoor patio for extra seating only negative is there's no Tv out there. The drinks were not bad I wouldn't say amazing but not bad. I loved the food, especially the cowboy burger I ordered which was cooked perfectly. That combination of shoestring onions and bacon and meat was just a great way to start my Sunday. Make sure to get it with the sweet potato fries. Parking is a bit limited so be mindful of that before coming. read more

American Swiss / grilled red onion / butter lettuce / house pickles / tomato / special sauce I also added a fried egg, which comes with fries. He ordered the Cowboy shoestring onion rings / bacon / cheddar / beer barbeque sauce. OH...My...Goodness! Hands down THE best burger that I have ever had in my entire life! Eureka is a great modern dining option with an awesome view of planes taking off and landing as it's connected to an airport. They offer indoor, bar and outdoor seating. The only downside we dealt with is the lack of room for our stroller, because of this i'd vote it's not very family friendly. Otherwise, Eureka is a great clean establishment to relax and have a beer, of which there are many options. As for the food, I had the napa chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries- so good! As for parking, there is ample parking space but good luck getting out of there during rush hour. read more

I'm posting an update because the general manager Loren's customer service resolving an issue I had at a once favorite place made all the difference. His customer service and personality truly shines through and I can honestly say his energy is reflecting through his newer fleet of staff. My previous experience left me with a sour taste and never stepping foot here again. The professionalism of someone who was empathetic and just very well rounded in customer service from the moment we met had me leaving on a positive note. It was a delight to see him again and his amazing personality. Our server for today's visit was Xavier. My goodness his personality was outstanding. He was so bubbly and offered personalized suggestions and just a bundle of joy. I can't praise him enough. The reality of this place. Yes it is very small, and yes you will wait a while for assistance. When we arrived there were several large parties, every table was filled with people. 2 bar tenders 4 wait staff plus a gm running around assisting tables on a Friday night with sports playing can be overwhelming. I get it an understand. I watched our server assist one family for what seemed like an eternity. He came over and apologized for the delay and you know what it's OK I saw him working hard and even if he was stressed we couldn't tell. He came over with a big smile and full of energy . Once we got our food order everything arrived rather quickly while we waited on our cocktails still. My only draw back were my truffle fries were a bit too salty for my liking but everything was delicious. I do still wish they had fried pickles on the menu tho hahah. Overall being invited back by an amazing general manager who you can honestly see is trying hard to turn this place around with a new fleet of staff is paying off. There are still some kinks with wait times with placing orders but I truly see an improvement for the best. The newer staff is incredible compared to the pandemic staff. One suggestion I would make would be if staffing is possible having the host take drink orders while we sit an wait for our server to be available to assist us, that way by the time we order our apps or meals we will be at least two drinks in and it helps flow better. I wouldn't mind waiting with a cocktail in hand. For ada accessibility I was able to park in the one handicap spot and had space to sit my cane without it falling on anyone and still had room to comfortably move on a crowded night. I love Eureka! The atmosphere at this location is great. I get the fig burger & I love it! The Brussels sprouts are a great starter. The service at this location was horrible. No introduction, basically asking to please order, please bring waters & drinks. Once the food was dropped off, we didn't even see a server. We had to ask for refills, ask to take the plates, ask for the bill. It takes away from going out to eat when you have to chase the server down. The table was sticky, the seats were dirty, we had to ask for menus after sitting for 8 min. We came and we stayed because of we love Eureka, the location is very cool.
