I was here a few days ago with a couple of my girlfriends for some lunch and I really enjoyed the vibes here. They seated us quickly and the server we had was so nice friendly and just made sure we were all good. Melanie I believe that was her name but she was awesome 10/10 for her service. I sat at the bar. Two girl bartenders, blue hair dark hair. They walked around doing busy work for 5 minutes, before they acknowledged I was there. Out of approx 30 bar stools, 11 had customers. I ordered a drink, and appetizer at same time Drink was ok ?? Food was great. I asked for my check, blue brought right away, then had conversations w every person at the bar and never, never, looked at me again she walked past where I was , and never looked up. She had conversations w guys Nxt to me, she never looked left. I typically tip 25% , but I only left 10% here. This has been a fairly typical experience at this location. Poor management/training. It's easy to be wowed by the location. At the end of the runway, you are given a great view of the planes coming in. Sure, you got this distraction but is it worth coming here? I loved the place. Every appetizer, every plate we had was great. I normal don't go for yellow mustard on my deviled eggs but the pickled onions added to these eggs balanced that tartness the mustard offers. Ok, I'm not too sure why people seem to love this place. It's in this small lot on it's own, really close to SpaceX. Parking lot is tiny and if you can't get a spot, you'll have to valet. I think there's another parking lot on the other side, but I'm not sure how to get to it. And it's definitely not for Eureka. Vegetarian burger- zero taste. Null on flavor. Lacking in anything resembling palatable. It's a beet and... bean burger? Definitely beet, but it was totally flavorless and mushy. Serious guys- bad. Fries were crispy and shoe string. Probably the best part of the meal. Mac & cheese balls- not bad, not great. Just breaded and fried Mac & cheese. Sauce was tasty. They have an extended bar area that includes some seats along a bench/booth type thing, so you don't have to wait for a table if you sit there. Service was fine. Not pushy, and I didn't feel rushed. Upon arriving we were greeted by their staff. Our waiter Jonathan was welcoming and super friendly. He enthusiastically answered all my questions about their menu and made recommendations as to which menu item to choose from. I went with the 28 day dry aged mushroom burger with a side of sweet potato fries. First bite and my taste buds went into a frenzy. Who would have thought sweet potato fries with cinnamon and honey would really hit the spot. My gf ordered the Napa Chicken Sandwich and raved about how deliciously flavorful it was. Eureka has been in my bookmarks for years now and I finally paid a visit to catch the last 15mins of Happy Hour. Some would argue...that isn't enough time. Well some underestimate what can be done in 15mins, for myself at least and within that time I ordered a few beers and an appetizer. It's location is a bit odd to me as it's connected to the Hawthorne Airport. If you're not paying attention or haven't done research prior to visiting, you'd never catch it. I've driven past it for years without realizing that's one of my bookmarked places to try out. Never would have guessed with it being attached to an airport. Because of this I assume this location is a lot more low key and laid back from the other locations. I'll know for sure once I make it to another location. I entered and grabbed a seat at the bar with a couple of co workers. The bartender was very welcoming and instantly recommended the Bells Hopslam Imperial IPA from the board. I took her word for it and gave it a try. Very hoppy but smooth. I enjoyed it's taste and ordered another for my second beer. The third beer I ordered right before Happy Hour ended was a Hangar 24 Orange Wheat which is a lighter version of a Shock Top in my opinion. It's on special for $5 during Happy Hour so I'll take it before the price increases after 6pm. I also took the opportunity to place an order for the lollipop corn dogs that are $6 during Happy Hour. This was a perfect snack to go with my last beer. In the sweet batter was nice and juicy cuts of polish sausage. The spicy mustard on the side was good for dipping as well. If you're wondering if I knocked back all 3 beers within 15mins then the answer is no. This contradicts my previous statement as one and a half were consumed within 15mins while the last was only ordered within the 15min time frame to get the Happy Hour deal. Don't want to seem like a lush for alcohol LOL but can knock them back if need be for competition purposes with friends. What can I say, I'm competitive. These beers are meant to sip & enjoy. Ice cold beers and good service definitely prompts more visits from me. I am not sure if the other Eureka locations are in such an interesting setting but this one sure is. You are right at the little airfield so you get to see planes coming and going, we saw a cool Army plane landing while we were there. You have lots of interesting people inside as well, people coming and going from the airfield, pilots, and employees from SpaceX next door. There is a full bar and when we were there it was in December and they had an amazing special Gingerbread Man cocktail. The food was also fantastic. My husband and I both had burgers and loved them. I've come here a couple times now but my last visit made me think about not coming again don't get me wrong the food is good (depending on what you order) But please get rid of contactless ordering/paying APP it was a smooth process I get it but I can't believe you guys add a 16% service charge I don't mind paying if the service was good but we had the server come over twice only to bring what we ordered on the app that's it. After we all eat my friends paid their bill on the APP and I couldn't get it to work so I asked to pay on my own I get the check and they wanted to charge me a $30 tip I was like wait noooo doesn't seem right so I ask for a manager and she says that's "the service charge" I say that's ridiculous so it turned out they were charging for the whole bill (after my friends had already paid their own bill and service charge) so she fixes it and we leave. Love Eureka! This is a little hidden gem in Hawthorne, the vibes here are amazing and honestly like nothing else in hawthorne, or in LA for that matter. Located practically inside of the hawthorne airport, it makes for amazing views of planes and private jets. Also located near SpaceX so lunch hour gets really packed but good vibes nonetheless. I came with my buddy to watch the premier league semi final at 12:30PM and it reminded me of the old Pub at my college campus, people were so lively. I ordered the nachos here and my friend ordered the burger sliders and both of them were really good. Easily accessible located right off of the 105 freeway, definitely recommended if you're passing by the area or if you live in hawthorne, there are a ton of other Eureka locations, and the food might be the same but this location has that extra little spin because of the location. And there were no chips & salsa in the bag? I was excited to try the truffle fries, but there was no white truffle cheese sauce & barely cheese. They're tasty if you just want salted fries. Came here on a recommendation from a friend. Was looking for a good place to take my parents for dinner before a concert at the You Tube Theater. This place was pretty cool...we could see the planes parked outside. My parents ordered the Eureka American Cheeseburger and I ordered the Napa Chicken Sandwich and OH MAN!!
