Madison is incredible at Lashlifts and full face wax! I have followed her from her previous location to here! She is so knowledgeable and so caring. I have gotten lashlifts done professional in Stl by other people that have years of experience and their results are nowhere near as good as hers! I've included a picture of my last lift! 1/5/18 EDIT -- Final rating: 2 stars. I came here to get my nails done in case my boyfriend proposed to me, which he ended up doing. My previous review of this place mentioned my dissatisfaction with how Cheryl failed to fix my nails after I messed them up. However, now, looking back at my engagement pictures and reflecting on my manicure, I'm even more disappointed. Please see the attached picture #2 that I added with this update. My nails have tiny little bumps on them. This is from Cheryl filing my nails and failing to clean/dust them off completing before applying polish. I'm so disappointed that this manicure ruined my engagement pictures. I really regret coming here, but sadly I can't change the past, I can only recommend others to stay away. FIRST EDIT -- Updating from 2 to 3 stars: Cheryl called me to apologize and offered to fix my manicure. I really appreciated her reaching out to me, as it shows her professionalism and agreeableness. ORIGINAL REVIEW -- This review is for the gel manicure via Groupon: Found this place on Groupon and regretted buying the manicure deal. Groupon is more expensive than in-store prices, so beware of that. It's $32 on Groupon for a gel manicure but $30 in store. Pros: * Cheryl was really kind and easy to talk to and I enjoyed getting to know her. * Cheryl came in while she was on vacation just to squeeze me in her schedule, which meant a lot to me. * The place itself was clean, fresh, and classy. I felt welcome and comfortable instantly! Cons: * There were limited color options and they didn't have the color I wanted (a simple baby pink). * My manicure turned out sloppy (see attached pictures). I accidentally messed up the nails on my right hand while putting my hand into the light device and when I pointed it out to Cheryl, she said she hoped the top coat would fix it. I went along with it and at the very end, I checked my nails and they were still messed up. * There's excess nail polish on my skin around and under my fingers. This is the first time I walked out of a nail salon with nail polish still on my skin. * The cuticle care and hand massage portions were shorter and less thorough than typical manicures. I hope my manicure was not representative of their usual standards, as I met a couple of regular clients who seemed to love the place. My two teenagers now also see Petya for skin care and they love her and the results. I originally found this spot on Groupon and am so grateful I did! European Beauty House is a very classy, quaint, and welcoming local business owned by the resident hair stylist, Elena. I had such a wonderful experience here! Elena was incredibly professional, patient, and kind and took the time to make sure she understood what I wanted. Her daughter was also lovely and popped in to help out a couple of times. Elena brought out hair color swatches and explained to me how she planned to work on my hair to make sure we were on the same page. She took the time to get to know me, answered all my questions, and provided helpful recommendations when I asked. Elena is an incredibly hard worker that is passionate about what she does. She genuinely cares about the satisfaction and confidence of her customers and it clearly shows! I love how they also have makeup, nail, beauty, and photography services all under one roof! So I did keratin treatment week ago. It is still good and the work that Elena did on my hair was great. Professional, it's my second time and I think it's the best place so far in STL to do keratin. The only thing and I blame myself too is that they probably raise the price. It was 130/140ish and I paid 230$ . Hope it will last! Very recommended tho. read more

I have been going to Elena , the owner for years, now. Before she opened her own business at European beauty house on Manchester Road in Ballwin., Mo. It is such a beautiful and call mean and exquisite business that you just want to relax and stay there all day. Elena is absolutely the best hairdresser and she is knowledgeable and so sweet that I would never go to anyone but her for my hair needs. They have nail services , they also have two wonderful aestheticians who do wonders with your skin! I feel like a part of the family and you will too , if you go to European House of beauty. it's a very conveniently located location. I give them an A+ plus all the way around - I highly recommend them!!!! they treat you like royalty and family and you leave feeling like 1 million bucks. This is my one treat , I allow myself: it's coming to see Elena and her wonderful staff! What a great beauty place to be! First at all, I have to say that I'm longtime customer of hair stylist Elena and beautician Eleonora. I've been going to them for past 10 years, and didn't even think they know each other. I was nicely surprised that they opened beauty salon together. They remodeled and furnished whole building with good taste. I love modern décor, and enjoy good quality of coffee they offer while I'm there. I'm going to review both of their services here: Esthetician Eleonora does the best European facials there is. I went to many salons, and meanwhile candles and music is usually nice, it doesn't make it excellent facial. Eleonora goes beyond candles and frills. She does gentle, deep extraction, which is basis of good, European style facial. She has good knowledge of products, and gave me good advice on skin issue I have. She makes her own moisturizers from wholesome, organic ingredients - if you want to try them. Prices are reasonable for quality of service you are receiving! Needless to say, she is very pleasant, and provides good customer service. Hairstylist Elena is good colorist, and cuts hair very well. Her haircuts compare to the ones from high-end salons in St. Louis. Short haircuts are more difficult, but she mastered one on me very well. She gives good advice on modern trends in haircuts, and improved highlights to more trendy. Her keratin treatment last long, as it should be. That wasn't my experience at other salons. She uses good quality of products, and uses them as you ask, so your hair is not greasy. Her blow style last few days, which I'm very happy with it. Overall, this is great salon to go to. This is my first review to ever write on Yelp but I had to do it because Elena & her daughter were just incredible. I found them on Groupon after purchasing the $69 haircut & style with ombré or balayage (amazing deal btw); I picked the balayage after talking to Elena and seeing what she recommended. We decided on that one since it's a little more subtle & mature looking than the ombré but I think either one would have turned out really good. Elena was patient, informative, professional, and super sweet & fun too! I'm always curious what they do at every step of the haircut process and she took the time to explain everything in detail. She even gave me a tour of their adorably restored & recently updated historic building while we waited on the foil process to finish up. The salon is so cute! Just like Elena & Petia :) She definitely had her work cut out (ha) for her because a few months ago I got kind of tipsy & stupidly decided to try and cut my hair myself...never again! She fixed my butcher job and really made me feel great the entire time. Besides the great cut, color and style job I also got my brows waxed and Elena nailed that as well. I'm not from the STL area but I think I'm going to try to venture back this way for my future haircuts because it was such a positive & pleasant experience! My mom lives here though so I told her she HAS to try Elena out next time she needs her hair done. The three hours I spent there flew by because of all the fun we had. Elena also has an aesthetician & professional photographer in the building; they weren't there while I was but their rooms were both VERY nice, I especially loved the super cool pedicure sinks. I booked a service via the vagaro website that promoted a special being offered by this salon. When I arrived the service provider; Kim, wasn't aware of the special but offered to honor the special since I clearly showed her from my phone and my account with Vagaro the special being offered. However, after speaking to the owner and reviewing the "company website" and showing me the service was not discounted on their site; the service provider changed her mind and informed me she would not honor the vagaro special. I can say a few other not so nice things about this service provider and more about the shop owner; but I'll refrain for now and will never step foot in that salon ever again. I will highly recommend anyone that is not of a particular ethnic background; to not waste your time, you are clearly not welcomed. read more

I went to get a pedicure with Cheryl. The 3rd time I went, she used a cheese grater on my heals. She cut a deep gash in my heal that took a long time to heal. As a diabetic, I have to be very careful when it comes to my feet. I explained to her the reason why I would not be returning. read more

I am not sure about the hair stylist on this one but the waxing experience I received was the worst I have ever had. And she used the same stick and dipped it back in the wax. To me when getting a Brazilian and realize that in the end that is a horrible feeling when you know that wax Is reused. She didn't even do the "full" Brazilian type of waxing. I am bruised on my arms as well and bled for the first time ever after getting waxed. I will definitely never go back to this place for a wax. So much for a great groupon deal here. The salon looked very clean and the updates were very nice to this place. So I do not fault them for that. Just the lady that I got a wax from. read more
