To be understand this place, you have to take it for what it is. It's fast food wraps - and they do it deliciously. The food was not greasy, nor over sauced. It came super quick via Uber Eats and came exactly as expected. I was pleasantly surprised on how flavorful it was. I had the spicy chicken wrap with mozz, and it honestly hit the spot. This little hole in the wall is my absolute favorite spot to get food. The food is always fresh and delicious, they have salads, soups, wraps and the worlds best french fries. My personal favorite meal is the spicy crispy chicken with fresh mozz wrap. It is always perfect! They have so many different dipping sauces for the fries and I love trying all of them. My favorite sauce has to be the cheddar jalapeno but they also have incredibly honey mustard! Dont let the basic looks of this place fool you- the food is amazing. read more

The fries are decent but they don't make up for the awful service. The guys behind the counter were rude, like they didn't want our business. The cashier didn't look us in the eye or even acknowledge our order with words. As soon as we ordered, I wished we hadn't, I wanted to run out of there to get my sense of humanity back. The chicken and rice is so delicious but they don't honor allergy requests. I'm allergic to peppers, asked for no peppers or onions in my meal with white sauce ok. So instead I get hot sauce all over! Not the first time they have done this to me but tonight was the last time we'll be ordering. I live around the block from the Oceanside location, and nothing says 'yum' like European Republic! The owner is very friendly and they always double check my order before I leave. The hot wings are my favorite, they are so moist, not greasy, crispy but not dry, spicy but not hot - seriously; the perfect wings! The Oceanside location is not really made for an dine-in experience, often we order take-out or delivery. The fullness and gratification of a delicious meal from there makes you feel like going straight to the couch after eating anyway! The delivery is practically like ordering fast food! It's not as low price as fast food, but the high caliber freshness of the meals, paired with the quantity you receive, it is very fairly priced! This shop located right off one of the busiest streets in the town of Huntington can make this place easy to pass by but you shouldn't. From a price and quality standpoint this place is great! I usually get the combo which is a wrap, fries, drink. The spicy grilled chicken wraps are my go to and for dipping sauces with the fries I'll get the euro ketchup, white sauce, and then another flavor that i mix up every time i'm there. Old reliable when I don't know what to eat in town. This place is always good. A little $$ but still great. All of the wraps are good, there are a bunch of options but honestly most of them are pretty much the same - the sauces are pretty similar. Go crazy on the dips. They are only 35 cents! That's the fun of this place. They have 21 in total I believe. This is a great date place. The fries are a little blah, so don't expect anything too, out of the ordinary, in this department. The fun comes in how they are served, and the dips you can use. They give the fries to you in a paper cone which is unique. They have little tables for two set-up inside with a funky ambiance. Also, price-wise, this is a great food/ entertainment choice. Oh European... you make me do crazy things such as eat a whole order of your fries with your amazingly different dipping sauces. Last night I was with my cousin and we were hungry... what do we eat that's quick and inexpensive and to take home?! Ah EUROPEAN REPUBLIC! Her and I both got the combo of the Spicy Grilled Chicken wrap with Goat Cheese and Jalapeño sauce with fries and a drink. As our dipping sauces we got a Cajun, an Avocado, a Curry, and a Roasted Garlic. Our drinks were two Snapples. Under $20 bucks and back at my cousin's in less than 10 minutes to hangout even more awesome. I personally like the Curry and Roasted Garlic sauces. I think Curry will win if I had to pick the sauce to go with the fries. Overall, since European Republic is a small shop I suggest walking around the village with the fries since its so small or if you're close take it home to eat and enjoy. read more

I can't believe I've never rated this place. I've been here too many times to count and for more years than I can even remember. This place has been a staple in Huntington for over a decade and I hope it continues for another. I always go for the full wrap combo which gets you a full wrap, a small fry with one dip, and a Snapple. Classic. Can't go wrong. As a vegetarian they do have several wrap options that are all delicious. Grilled vegetable, grilled tofu, falafel, veggie burger. My fave is the falafel wrap. The wraps themselves are so unique, I can describe it almost like a soft, wrap-version of a piece of matzo. It looks similar, tastes like a regular wrap. The fries are the best in town. If you don't know, now you know. Thick cut and fried to perfection. Good plain or dipped. The dips are also the best in town. So many dip choices, I always end up paying extra for more because i can't decide on only one with the combo. Basil and European ketchup are my top two. I love this spot so much! read more

I've been going to the place forever and just realized I've never written a review. I usually get their chicken wraps but have been getting their spicy falafel wrap instead. It is to die for!!! The texture of the falafel is perfect. Crunchy on the outside and just perfect inside. Not too crunchy, not too dry and not too mushy. The sauce is fabulous. Definitely has a little kick to it. I ordered the organic tofu & veggie wrap and it was delicious. My boyfriend ordered the chicken curry wrap and enjoyed his as well. The fries were amazing as expected. It is rare to find a healthy restaurant with great prices. This place is also very vegetarian friendly with plenty of sauce options (BBQ, dijon mustard, European ketchup, can't remember the rest..) Although you do need to pay extra for them (besides regular ketchup). I would definitely recommend this place to someone looking for a quick healthy meal. Meh. I was expecting a bit more reading other reviews but my expectations fell short. The joint itself is in serious need of TLC. The tables and chairs were uncomfortable and dirty, the place was dark and cold. Maybe I felt this was since I'm not in college as it seemed the other patrons were but this spot could 100% be located off a college campus somewhere when the kids need something to eat after drinking too much that night. Wraps / Frites I'm going to buck the trend here and just go with good on this place. Sure the fries are crunchy and the dipping sauces are tasty but they just aren't like *WOW* tasty. The style of fries is definitely not what you normally get in the U.S. - but when compared to one of the Belgian style places out there, then there is no comparison. The Belgian joints offer something better in my opinion. These frites seemed extra greasy to me. There are soups, salads and wraps available as well- I had a mushroom soup that was good but again, not anything that wowed me. It was more like a mushroom barley soup and could have been thicker- the broth was very watery in my opinion. Maybe that is their way - not sure. The food is adequate - probably much better after working your way through the bars of Huntington - I can see the appeal of this type of food then. There are a few small tables in there - the interior reminded me of a subway sandwich shop. Parking on street or muni lots. read more

I've been going here since I started working at The Paramount in 2014, and even though I haven't since 2017, I come back here often when I'm in the village. They've had a consistent staff for several years, and the food reflects that. The wraps are always satisfying, and there's so many options ranging from vegetarian, fish, and meat that anyone can find something, and their chicken over rice is great as well. So many dips to choose from, and they know how to do a beautiful thing to a French fry. Moody teenagers? They'll love it. Parents who want something fresh and not awful for you? They got it. Came for lunch with my fiancé and despite it looking dark inside I was hungry! Ordered our food, I got gyro rice platter and he got chicken cutlet and mozzarella wrap. My fiancés first bite was his last! If people think that is a chicken cutlet I am sad for them. Overly processed sponge like texture and when he approached the counter help and said its inedible they wouldn't refund or try to accommodate him. My gyro platter was thick chunks of gyro meat, not the thin traditional slices. If you like french fries and cool sauces then this is your place, as most reviews have commented on this area. During the Covid 19 crisis I support local restaurants, but European Republic is one I've crossed off my list. I ordered seafood bisque and a chicken gyro sandwich. The bisque had 4 baby shrimp floating in...something... I could not identify it, but it wasn't bisque and the chicken gyro sandwich had chicken and 2 tiny tomato slices stuffed in a pita and smothered in mayo. WTF? No spices I could taste. I rinsed off the chicken and gave it to my pet. After two bites she wouldn't eat it either. This restaurant will not get another order from me. Chicken smothered in Mayo...give me a break. read more

My boyfriend and I normally come to get a quick bite. They are not the nicest of places but the food is pretty good. I always get the crispy chicken wrap which I always feel changes, sometimes it comes with cheese others not and the sauce changes too. None of the wraps come with fries so you do have to order it separately but it's definitely worth it. My boyfriend has tried almost everything from the menu and he likes it. This place used to be good years ago. Last night I went here & it was DISGUSTING! The floors were a disaster, dirty & beat up. It SMELLED horrible in there...like a really dirty public restroom that desperately needed to be cleaned. There were stains & questionable marks on the booth I was sitting in. Flies & gnats all over. Why is service so slow during lunch hour? Don't you prepare for this sort of thing. I would expect that a place that serves delicious wraps and fries at a great combo price would prepare for a rush of people around 1pm. I haven't been here in years due to me leaving Ny to live in Vegas. Man has this place improved. More with the environment as opposed to the food because the food has always been great. I guess they moved down and opened up the store because it seemed so spacious. More seating and seems like a bigger menu. Me not eating any meat surprisingly I was not limited at all. From veggie wraps to veggie burger wraps I could eat a lot. I got the veggie burger wrap with the European ketchup and it was amazing. I had never been let down here. I was only in town for three days but I made sure to come here and take my partner to show him. It's a must if you are visiting or just in Huntington village. Great location and easy to find. I love euro, always have, hopefully always will. The food is the same (which is good) but the service seemed quite rushed regardless of the fact that I was the only person in line. Again, the food is excellent, but there was an incredible amount of flies at my table. It's was very distracting. These scheming flies. I just couldn't take it any longer. Don't lose your touch.
