She went above and beyond your company standards. She was very knowledgeable of all products and treatments. Kera was great hands down. I felt uncomfortable when my wax specialist asked me very personal questions and only responding to me with, "interesting!" "That's so interesting!" I was concerned when wax hot wax dripped into both of my orifices and she acted like nothing unusual happened when I alarmed her. I was so embarrassed because I accidentally nudged her out of surprise when it dropped in me. I apologized to her and afterwards told the front desk clerk that her methods during my Brazilian were not what I expected. (I've been a regular to EWC for over a year). When I brought it up to the front desk clerk she didn't seem to hear me out as a client let alone woman who feels vulnerable and upset. The front desk clerk said she was sorry, but reasoned that each specialist has her own style of waxing. I felt dismissed- I love my prior experiences as a trusting client to EWC, but out of love and respect for my own body will not be returning to this Cary location- I left in tears. Worst experience. I was more disappointed with how distant and uncaring the front desk lady was. *Thank you to the manager from the Apex location who made me feel heard yesterday when I called to let someone know about this experience. read more

Don't know how to pronounce her name but (Shantay) is very sweet, talkative and experienced. I like this place bc it is sanitary and the discount packages make it affordable (buy 3 get 1 free for students!) If you are african american and/or have a coarser hair type, or you simply think brazilians shouldnt have to be so painful- Shantay is your girl!!! She is fast, but uses smaller sections- and trust me it makes a huge difference. I commented multiple times- I have never had such a pain free brazilian! AWFUL. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! I had scheduled 3 services to be done for free during one of their training weeks. I was called to have it set up and was told to come to the Apex location instead. I called twice to make sure of the location. Needless to say, I missed my appointment in Cary because of the miscommunication. I spoke with the manager LIZ, who preceded to raise her voice on the phone at yell and me. She offered nothing to remedy the situation. She refused to apologize for the mistake on her salon's behalf. She was RUDE and just nasty. I will never NEVER come here EVER again. What a despicable way to run a business. I've also heard from several people that this location often leaves people with deep rashes. Go somewhere else. I'm in the process of working with the headquarters to get this sorted out. Liz= a POOR businesswoman. Seriously, I have never in my life experienced anything like this. STAY AWAY. read more

I was planning on changing my review to 1 star since about a week and a half after my wax, my waxed area broke out HORRIBLY!!!!!! I mean, it was almost unrecognizable as a lady part. Oh, and it was oh so painful! When I realized the situation down there, I obviously freaked out and immediately called back Ashley from customer service that left me a message asking about how my experience was. She was very friendly and kind and I told her about it all! She offered me a service free of charge to make up for the bad wax job as well as some of their anti ingrown hair serum. I told her that I was so traumatized that I don't think I will ever get a wax again. I did end up picking up the serum, which honestly didn't do much for me, but now it's a month later and my lady zone is still not up to par. I appreciate that they tried to makes things right, but I can honestly say I will never go back. Also, I was informed that the lady that did my wax was new and hasn't developed her technique. My question is, why would you assign a new waxer to a client on their first visit??!! If you want them to come back, give them the BEST waxer on their first visit! I have only been here once so far, but it was nice. The girls at the front desk were really nice and scheduled an appt. for about an hour after I walked in (no availability right then for walk-in). When I returned for my appt, they were running on time and I waited less than 5 minutes. The girl who did the wax was really good and nice. I would definitely return. Parking is sometimes difficult to find in that shopping center, but I go to that shopping center a few times a week, so I already knew this. read more

So I have gone three times to this place now, but this is my first check in. I have had different waxers each time, since I do not request the same one, and have had a great experience with each of them. Being a guy I was a bit nervous about going into a waxing place. I can say that they made me feel quite comfortable and the more I have gone the more relaxed I have become about it. Waxing hurts, but I can say it has hurt less each time that I have gone. Arrived 5 minutes early for my appointment and still waited for 20 minutes. The VERY first thing I noticed upon walking in the door, was the receptionist's eyebrows. This being a waxing salon, I'd expect all the employees to utilize their services and look presentable. Her eyebrows were an absolute mess. Aside from being incredibly thick, they had no shape and there were stray hairs everywhere. This is a pretty off-putting first impression for a waxing salon. Another thing I didn't like was while I was waiting, the other receptionist did nothing but try to sell me all the products and packages. I understand that's their job, but even after I expressed disinterest, she tried to persuade me. I've been coming here for closer to 2 years now for my Brazilians. I have recently started seeing Ty as my waxer and let me just say shes the best!!!! she was so nice and kind. She knew so much and gave me recommendations on product/items to use that would best help my skin. It was quick and as pain free as waxing can get. Okay, right now they are running this special. For first time guests you get a free wax (cheaper areas like eyebrows, mustache, etc) and I was on the way to Harris Teeter (next door) and thought, "Why not?" Whoa, I should have thought twice... I am a student at UNC, however - I live in W. Raleigh/Cary and am on school break, so I am never in Chapel Hill. The place I typically get waxed at in Chapel Hill is fantastic (Moss Beauty). Since I was there and not going to Chapel Hill anytime soon, I decided to give this place a shot. Never, ever go here. LOL. I ended up with angel hair thin spaghetti noodles for eyebrows. Thankfully, the service was free. However, my eyebrows are already sparse and pretty blonde as it is. Guess who has to work on her eyebrow coloring skill until they start growing back? This girl! Seriously, go anywhere but here. I've never had such a horrible experience. I told her immediately it was too thin. My eyebrows were fully grown in from my previous wax because I had not had them waxed since April. She told me on the way to check out that "once they grow in better, we'll be able to get you a better shape." What the he**? They were fully grown in! No need in making an appointment because you will still wait 15-20 for your therapist. I actually had to wait 15 minutes, after arriving on time, because the appointment ahead of me showed up AFTER I did. I'm sorry...when did her inability to arrive somewhere on time become MY problem. Then it was obvious the therapist was rushing through my treatment because she was behind. (Or she just isn't that good.) And be prepared to be hassled to buy more packages every time regardless of how many visits you've already bought. On average an eyebrow, lip, and underarm generally takes 45 minutes. This salon looks great and is so clean. They maintain your privacy at all costs, which was the most appealing thing about this place. Their customer service was pretty good, but they're so focused on selling you year-long packages for waxing ($144/yr for eyebrows). The most dispappointing thing about this place was all the pep-talk about how great their products are, how they don't use typical products, etc... with an emphasis on how their products don't break you out at all. My partner & I both got our eyebrows waxed here, and my skin broke out HORRIBLY. I've never had such a reaction to waxing in my life. My skin is the opposite of my partner's skin, and she broke out too.. not sure what happened there, but I'm not a fan! I guess I like the cheap wax jobs, I don't need the 6 moisturizers and all the frilly things to go along with a simple wax. read more

Alania do not let her wax anything on your body. She is super sweet however a neo to waxing. Wax got on my freshly pedicure big toe and ruined my polish. The manager on duty took $10 off. Got to my car looked at my leg there was still wax. The Apex location is wonderful. Ask for Paula at the Apex location. read more

I've been going to this location for about 2.5 years seeing Dani. She is moving to a new location in Holly Springs and I moved to the other side of town so I sadly won't be seeing her anymore. I've visited other locations and had good experiences however my visit here last week was awful. I almost didn't want to review this place but now I have an ingrown hair bump that looks like a pimple on my forehead. The day I went I was worked in I really just wanted a wax for an event the next day. I guess the girl they worked me in with was new. She put a lot of wax on my brows that really just needed a shape up, so much that it got on my face and dripped in my hair. We spent 15-20 minutes working wax out of my hair, pulling my hair out in the front edges of my scalp. Lastly my brows are uneven, I realized that when I got home but what can I do but wait for it to grow back... Sad I don't feel pretty right now.
