I have been coming to this center for 2 years now. My original esthetician moved locations, but everyone has been great. I went for an appointment on Friday 1/16/26 and when I arrived the power in the buliding had gone out. Samantha, who was managing the reception area, was so professional, gracious and focused on customer satisfaction. Frustrating! My waxer used to be Arwa who was great, but unfortunately she left and then i started seeing Leslie who was fabulous and she left right before my October appt. So I had to schedule with someone different. I asked for an experienced waxer due to how sensitive my skin is and how easily i can burn. The front desk recommended someone. I trusted their recommendation. I walked in and get taken to the back, as I'm already on the table ready for my Brazilian, I ask the waxer how long they've been in the industry and she says she has just received her license, less than 6 months ago. I was livid, it was too late for me to walk out. I proceeded with the service that took almost an hour, it was truly the 2nd to worst experience I've had. Once i get back to the front, I had checked in on Yelp and because of the check in i received a coupon that they told me i couldn't use. No one had any idea what it was. Anyways, overall i won't be returning to this location. They can't keep their employees, high turnover rate and no one really knows what they're talking about at the front desk. read more

I ventured to this location for the first time yesterday, and was pleasantly surprised by how cheerful everyone appeared. The facility looked very clean from the main area to the room. Genesis was the one that took care of my requests and she did a fabulous job. She was very down to earth, took pride in her work, made me feel extremely comfortable, and gave me tips of how to take care of my body after the appointment. Yesterday was my first time visiting a European Wax Center and I can tell you that it was a first of many to come. Scheduling an appointment was easy, the front desk team were kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable, and my waxing specialist was super sweet and patience with me jumping each time that she went to pull the wax off. The hair removal process didn't hurt, I expected it to, but whatever technique she used was perfect for this first timer. I'll definitely be back because the appointment was quick, easy, and so close to my office. I was in and out of there in no time. I came here this past weekend to get waxed. This experience was not good and I am not sure if I'll ever be back. Probably not after what happened. Upon checking out, I was asked if I wanted to leave a tip and I told him the amount of tip that I wanted to leave. I vocalize that very clearly. One thing I noticed is that they do not tell you your total. They automatically just try to charge your card on file. That is what they tried to do with me, but I had pulled out my car to pay with my physical card. I had no idea that they had multiple credit cards of mine on file. I never gave them permission to do that. That was the first issue. The second issue is that I was charged more and tip than what I agreed to. Before I left, I asked for my receipt, and I was told it would be emailed to me. Almost 30 minutes later, I did not get my receipt. I had to reach out to them just to get it. Once I got it, that's when I saw that I was charged more for a tip then I agreed to. This is extremely unethical and basically stealing. I literally looked the lady in the face and told her how much I wanted to tip and she looked at me and said OK. This is very sneaky and dishonest and deceptive. I would recommend everyone pay with their physical card, and then also get a total before even paying. The waxer that I had was great, that is not the problem. The problem is the checkout process. I asked them to remove my cards from their system. I asked for confirmation of that. I never got it and no one ever reached out to me. I don't see any voicemail being left or any text being responded to. Speaking of text, they conveniently do not respond to messages other than appointment confirmations. They reach out to me to get waxed by a trainee, and I agreed. For three days, they did not confirm anything else. After the fact, they blamed it on the manager, not reading the text. I asked to speak with the manager to see why my messages weren't responded to for a few days. Rather than connect me with the manager, I got a text apologizing. This is horrible and bad customer service. Going forward, if I ever do come back, I'm only paying in cash. If I have to pay with my card, I will confirm that none of my card information is saved, and I will also confirm the tip amount and the total amount before I leave. I got a Brazilian at EWC's new location at North Point in Reston. I have been waiting so long for it to open because it because it is closer to my home. The place was very clean and even smelled amazing inside. The cleaning protocols were perfect! Best of all I had my first appointment with Kalysa. She was amazing at not only making me feel comfortable in an otherwise awkward position but made me laugh through it. She was super knowledgeable and talked me through everything she was doing. She also greeted me with a smile and was very courteous. My waxer, Kalysa, made me feel comfortable by asking me about myself and getting the conversation going.
