Walked in hoping to get a pedicure, nobody greeted or asked what service I wanted, literally nothing. After 8 minutes sitting by the front and still nobody acknowledged that a customer walked in, I asked one of the 4 women doing nails if they had time for a pedicure, and one of them said no. I'm not surprised they didn't have time I was just a walk in but to be ignored and then if I didn't ask, none of the women would've informed me they were too busy. Sat here for an hour in tears begging these people to soak my previous set off. They were clearly in a rush, completely ignored me, tore my nails apart then sent me away with this gorgeous new set. I never leave reviews anymore, but this was by far the most traumatic experience I've ever had in a salon in my life. Do not come here. Updated to say that they love to be in the comments terrorizing the multiple people leaving bad reviews (even asked one woman to take hers down!) but don't have that same level of attention to detail when you're in their salon. Maybe spend less time focused on fighting with people on Yelp, and more time focused on customer service. Maybe then you won't keep having this problem. Two weeks ago, I had an excellent job done here, so I returned for a fill. A man attended to me and asked if I wanted the same length; I requested them a bit shorter. Instead of filing them, he used a nail drill, which resulted in them being much shorter than I wanted and with an arch. Now, all my nails are uneven, the French tip is too thick, and my nails have an arch that doesn't look or feel right. When I voiced my dissatisfaction, he was impolite and unprofessional. read more

Birthday nails by Jayyyy I'm in love This salon is soooo beautiful on the inside. Each nail was specialized and detailed. The flowers were adjusted to my liking. It took a total of 4 hours to fully complete this set. I haven't tried the pedicure yet but I recommend this place it's super nice. I'm gonna start coming to this place from now on. If this tech continues to do other people the way she did me, she's gonna meet the wrong person one day, but this goes for everyone there tbh. don't waste your money & just go to lotus spa in Renton or sunshine nails in Fed. This is the best nail salon for acrylics and creative designs out of all of the nail salons I've gone to in the area (and I've been to multiple) because I'm not from the area and have been scoping out nail salons for the last couple years. The atmosphere is great-- There's always current music playing that really puts you in a good mood, and the nail technicians are very welcoming and friendly. The customer service is great and they will work with you and take their time to make sure you leave the salon loving your nails. The pricing is on the higher end, but it usually is in other salons who are known for long acrylics and phenomenal designs! I absolutely have to rave about Jay, who is my go to person when it comes to my nails! I made an appointment for 2 o'clock. The girl text me and said she would be 30 minutes late that's not cool at all I booked for 2 PM. I text her, so can I get a discount she ignored me when I got to the service she rushed it completely and then over charge me $20. I had a HORRIBLE experience at E Nail Bar in Federal Way, I was called out of my name and my nails were terrible. I looked on Yelp and found EV Nail Studio and read the reviews, I was impressed at their work and their prices. When I called I was graciously greeted by Hanna, I explained to her my nails and what I hoped they could do to fix it. She assured me that they would do their best to help fix my nails and scheduled me an appointment. When I got there I was instantly greeted by Hanna and we talked about my nails.. Quality of nail service and shop comfortability has gone down since I have been patroning them. Nails chip and broke a few days after getting a rushed dip service that cost $60. I used to love the interior and now it is dirty and looks like they started to remodel and just left it. It has been this way the last few visits. I went here to get a simple ombré acrylic set and a pedicure. I booked one of the fancier pedicures because I wanted to treat myself. The manicure ended up taking an extra hour because the woman doing them disappeared for awhile (no idea why) so I just sat there. By the time I was supposed to get my pedicure there wasn't enough time to get the fancier one and I left with the basic. My toe nail polish smudged very easily after I left (despite sitting for 30 minutes for it to dry) and started to flake off two days after. I've never had toe nail polish disappear so fast, usually it sticks for ages until you take it off yourself. The store is pretty and well kept. However, they charge far too much money for the work they do and the time it takes. I would not spend my money here again to spend 3-4 hours getting a simple ombré. This places website is very deceiving. I went her on Saturday with my mom and daughter. I paid these people over $200. The pedi's me a my mom got were ok. Not worth the $55 but ok. As for my nail experience it was awful. Everything I asked the young lady to do. She said she couldn't do cause I didn't want my nails super long. Mind you the picture I was showing her they had short nails. So I just got a quick fill and proceeded to wait 3 hours for them to put a full set on my daughter. That full set has almost all popped off and it has only been 4 days. What nails are left are lifting and the polish has come off. The service was nice but extremely slow, and the quality of work is very terrible. You would think if they are taking 3 hours to complete a simple full set, you would have the best nails out there. If "what I asked for vs. what I got" was a person this was after sitting there for 4 hours. Laurel started my nails, trinity tried to fix them, and unprofessional manager jay ended up finishing them. When any salon owner leaves a shop the report degrades. Jay calls himself the manager but if you don't like his work, he'll make you feel so uncomfortable. I'm not from the Seattle area and I have been searching for a professional nail salon for two years; I was booked for an appointment and the person canceled as I was on my way to them. I googled nail salons in a frenzy and found EV Nail Studio, I called and unbeknownst to me I spoke with the lovely owner, she squeezed me in on a very busy Saturday and personally did my nails. I have never been happier with a nail salon as I am now, I have now been going for two months or so and they always see me on time and do exactly what I request, I meet with Trinity as she is now my regular nail tech here and I love her. I've been going to EV nails off and on since I moved back in July 2021. The inconsistencies are always due to bad experiences. This is my third time giving this nail salon a chance thinking "maybe they'll be better this go-round" and nope! The customer service is terrible and the mail service leaves a lot to be desired. I came in on 05/18/2023 to be serviced by Cong. I arrived a little late, but made sure to keep in constant communication (I was heading north from Puyallup, WA during o'clock traffic). I sat there for an additional 30 minutes before Hannah started removing my old set and putting on a new set of acrylic nails. She was very rough to begin with. I showed her the exact picture that I wanted - shape, design & color to match (picture included). She begins to start cutting my nails into stiletto shape after asking what shape I wanted. I told Hannah I wanted square square but thin, NOT bulky. Hannah ASSUMED I wanted stiletto by me saying "skinny square". Hannah proceeds to ask me what's wrong and I tell her straight up I wanted square square not stiletto and the shape is stiletto (didn't get a pic, but boy oh BOY do I wish I would've been thinking clear enough to take a picture of what shape SHE wanted to give me that was now stuck on my hands for the next two weeks at $120+ an appointment). At this point Cong takes over and starts applying the acrylic to my nail bed. I ask him if they'll square out and he assured me once the acrylic was applied they'd look better. All but two of my fingers were almost square and so Congs solution was to make the stiletto. I told him no that's not what I wanted. He got frustrated with me and started speaking in his native language to Hannah - very rude in my opinion. Hannah then comes over to me and starts yelling in my face how she asked me what shape I wanted etc to which I told her what she gave me is not what I wanted. I was literally holding back tears I've never felt so belittled in my life over Hannah's mistake. I was forced to cut my nails down super short just to have square square which is NOT what I asked for, wanted or paid for. After paying $110 and tipping Cong $10, I left feeling disrespected, unappreciated & embarrassed, considering this all happened in front of other nail techs and two other customers in the nail salon. I'd hate to say it's a race issue, but I definitely haven't seen anyone else being talked to or treated like this. I pay, I tip well and I try to be the ideal client but holy smokes. They're giving McDonald's service expecting Texas de Brazil prices in here! I used to always recommend this place, but I won't anymore. I'm including pictures so that future customers can see. I have been coming to EV since before COVID and honestly their service quality has slowly dwindled. I have had such great experiences before and recommend friends but no more. I had a full set and pedicure appointment scheduled and it took them one hour to get started on me and I didn't even end up having a pedicure done because they didn't have time. They started at 12:30 and I didn't leave until 2:45ish. They have new techs frequently and the one who did my nails this time left me with several cuts on my cuticles. I went to this salon because the photos on the owner's website are all so gorgeous and detailed. I went in expecting that level of work, and was really disappointed. I showed the nail tech a picture of nails I wanted and explained on which nails I wanted them, multiple times. The design I had was all white/gold glitter. The nail tech gave me a matte green colour which I thought was weird but I was like, well maybe it's just the base. But nope! She tried to tell me she was done and when I asked where the sparkles were she said I never told her I wanted sparkles. The picture I gave that she had right in front of her was covered in sparkles, that was the whole design, so I was really confused. Then she proceeded to sigh loudly multiple times and tell me it was my fault that my nails weren't what I wanted and was extremely rude about it. She eventually put on sparkles for me but they fell off almost immediately after I left and they weren't even remotely similar to what I asked for. I'll include pics to show what I got vs what I asked for. It's fine if there was miscommunication somehow but the fact that she was so rude about it and told me it was my fault when the pic I gave her was very clear was really disappointing.
