I lived in Cincinnati many years ago and when I got out of the service I retired a long way from Cincinnati. I recently returned to the area and it seemed like everything had changed so much. I was looking for my old neighborhood of Collage Hill and decided to stop at a Shell station for directions. The girl behind the counter acted like I was bothering her and told me to buy a map. I left in a huff and went across the street to Evans Auto care to ask for directions. When I walked into the place I found one guy at the counter who seemed very busy. He had 2 people in the office and the phone would ring and he would handle it. I almost just left because at this point i did not want to bother anyone. I am glad that i did not. When the guy at the counter, Jim, got off the phone he asked me what he could do for me. I asked him if he knew were Collage hill was and he told me no. He asked me if I had an address and I told him I could get one. I called my friend I was going to visit and got his address and Jim took the time to get on the internet and print me out a map with directions. He then told me how to get back on the highway. The fact that this guy took this much time for me when it was obvious I was not going to be a paying customer was very surprising. For years, I started at chain locations of: CarX, Midas, Bob Summeral. For awhile I'd have great experiences, then the quality would slack and I felt the service employees didn't match the managers upfront. I've passed Evan's for years and thought let's try it. Love them and I'm on my 2nd car with them. I love that they choose to use higher quality parts vs. the minimum grade. They show you with pictures what your car looks like, and even pull up computer simulations to teach you about the area of work needed. They always call and give you a total with everything included before they work on your car so you know everything upfront. If can't call to make an appointment, you can drop your car off after hours and tell them what you need done with a form and a drop box for keys. They care about staying up to date with the latest parts,technology, and ways of business. And Evan's is where I learned all about ASE certification, it matters. Evan's is Quality in every category. I called several repair shops to find one that I felt comfortable with to work on my car. Of all the shops I talked to Evan's Auto Care was the one who seemed to really have their act together. Evan, the owner, gave me an estimate over the phone for the work I described. When I called back to make the appointment, Evan quickly pulled up my estimate on his computer and we confirmed the date and time to do the work. From the moment I walked into the office at Evan's Auto Care I was impressed with the professionalism and concern for the customer that Evan exuded. I waited in their office while my car was worked on. Every customer who called or came in while I was waiting was treated with that same professionalism. All questions were answered and repair options were explained. Edward L. On 4/18/16 I had my 2006 Porsche Boxster S towed to Evan's Auto Repair. It required clutch , water pump, brakes, and I purchased a set of tires. As my vehicle was being serviced, I received emails, and calls updating me on every step in the process, with suggestion, and multiple options to every repair, noting specifically each best practice. The owner, and every staff member that I had contact with were professional, friendly, and courteous. The waiting area was clean, the work area was clean and open. On 4/21/2015, I brought my 2000 Volvo S40 to Evans Auto Care for exhaust issues, in Blue Ash. When one like myself is a novice once the hood is popped all you hope for is honesty. The staff was upfront and informed me of other issues with my car and to my surprised I was driving a car that was not road worthy. Evans were willing to work with me. I didn't get the car fix in fact I traded in to purchase a new car. I just appreciate when a business will forgo honesty over money. These reviews do NOT do justice to the care, consideration, personal integrity, and pure customer service I received. Everything about the service and experience was great. I have been looking for a local trustworthy auto shop in Cincinnati and I think I have made a great choice. Speaking with the technicians and Evan himself (who will pick you up in their courtesy shuttle if needed) was great. Evan's takes care of all my cars. Diagnose the problem and provide prompt service. Fixes what needs to be fixed and makes me aware of any issues that may be lurking. I use to take my cars to the dealers and was always charged a bundle and left wondering if what they were fixing was legite.
