I'm a huge hop-head and Ever Grain had 15 varieties of IPAs on tap out of 22 beers listed. I enjoyed Eternal Vigilance (8.3% IPA - IMPERIAL / DOUBLE NEW ENGLAND / HAZY) and Bingo Pajamas (8.0% IPA - IMPERIAL / DOUBLE NEW ENGLAND / HAZY) which were both delicious. I had the shrimp tacos with chips and salsa which were very tasty. I took home a 4-pack of The Whole Enchilada (11.2% IPA - TRIPLE NEW ENGLAND / HAZY) which I can enjoy watching a football game and not driving anywhere! read more

This was a tough one to score. The atmosphere is incredible so I would give that five stars. We arrived early for a Saturday night and it was packed. The decor is open but welcoming. Surprised how the noise level was acceptable for our personal conversations to be heard. The food however was meh. In fairness, we didn't sample a big variety so it's possible their other options are better. While the Fried Green Tomatoes were beautifully presented, every part of it lacked flavor. The pretzels were also disappointing. On a positive note, the fries were delicious. I would definitely give it another try as the food passing up by to other customers looked yummy. read more

Evergrain was my favorite place on the West Shore. My wife and I went every other week on a Friday after work. It was loud and boisterous, and we were never alone for very long as I always found great fun and conversation with the patrons and the pinball and shuffleboard game. Then COVID happened, and the owners chose to turn this into a sit down restaurant. It lost any and all reason for us to be there. I don't want another average restaurant in Central PA, we have all we can take. I went on Friday night and it was like going to see a sick friend you could barely recognize. Oh, by the way, its is not just a sit down restaurant, the waitresses literally enforce the don't leave your table and 2 hour limit(which is all about turnover and tips, which wouldn't be a problem if you didn't create it.) The food itself is expensive and very, very average. Its that "upscale" pub fare that was in vouge a few years ago, along with some "fusion" international food that just makes the menu all over the place. The beer is good, but also expensive. Since they changed over to sit down table service I have not had a server that was any thing but average, and one that wasn't even that. The bar tenders are often short with people and one was downright rude to me when I had the audacity to ask for the pucks for shuffleboard. Ultimately, this place is over for me. It will continue to serve the provincials who seem to enjoy the mediocre, but I am hoping for better with the new brewery that opens in Camp Hill soon. read more

Ever Grain is a great spot on the west shore if you want some excellent, local craft beer. I have been here numerous times and I am so glad that they finally got a decent food option to go with the really great beer they serve. Little Bird is 1000 times better than what Red Sky was. I really like the way their menu is shaping up and how they can start to pair their beer with really good food. You still place your order at the little snack window which is cool. I would like to see them expand some of the seating options. They have picnic style tables setup and a really long bar area which is great. Maybe a couple smaller tables spread throughout. Fun place to go to grab a good beer. Ever Grain draws a crowd on the weekends and has a fun atmosphere. They have a good selection of different styles of beer that they brew. Bartenders are good and keep the line moving even went then brewery gets busy. Samplers are available if you want to taste different beers that they brew. I'm an IPA fan so it was nice to be able to sample all the IPAs they had on draft and then order the one I liked the best, which was the Juice Juicy IPA. Food is served by Red Sky next door. Only drawback is the brewery gets busy and it can be hard to find a table and it can get very loud. read more

I freaking love this place. During Covid-19 we only ate outside in their little "picnic area" and never were disappointed with the beer or food. Now that things are opening up and we're vaccinated we went there to celebrate and enjoyed one of the best pizzas I've ever had along with a variety of beers. Wouldn't even give this one star but Yelp requires so... I called before coming to see if there was a wait and the girl who answered said no wait come on in. My husband, I and our group of friends got there and ordered appetizers. 45 min in, waitstaff said it was coming but said the kitchen was behind. One hour in- other people who got there AFTER us already had their food and left. 1.5 hours in and appetizers not here- we were told that the kitchen actually never got the order. We were given free beer and offered a free pizza- I didn't want a pizza but asked if my husbands pizza could be comped and they said NO..... ??? Don't get it. I adore this place! I love how they have two giant garage doors that serve as walls, but open when the weather is nice. It was a perfect night for the doors to be open and the breeze to run through the brewery. It's evident that the brewery focused on the quality of the beer due to the fact that they don't serve food and it's supplied by the adjoining "Cafe." The Cafe has an extensive menu, far beyond what you'd normally expect. The wings were exceptional! I'd prefer celery in lieu of the cucumber slices, but still delicious. My recommendation would be to offer this as a meal instead of just an appetizer. The crab flat bread would be better with less cream cheese and more crab, but still delicious. The "build your own tacos" was advertised as "local fish," but served with mahi, which is not local to the area. I purchased a crowler of the Say Wit for $9.50 which is equivalent to about three beers - decent. A bonus is that the joint is kid friendly with corn hole and spacious for children to play. I was so delighted with this experience that once we began indulging, I forgot to take another picture. It was a Sunday and I was feeling comfort food so I went for the smoked mac n cheese for food and the warm apple cider to drink. Both were so tasty! My friends ordered nachos, pretzels and various selections of beer. All loved their picks as well. I love the diversity of the menu and how it accomodated everyone. My only dislike about this establishment would be how you have to go to separate places to order things i.e. I went to a window to order the food and had to go to a separate bar location apart from the beer to order the cider. You wait at the bar for the drink and then they bring you the food to your table by a number that you take with you. It was all a bit confusing with it being my first time but nonetheless, I'm sure you get used to it because I have no doubt people come back. I've gone twice in two weeks now and both times have been excellent. The beer selection is top notch - highly recommend the surf breaker and strawberry sorbetto. The food is amazing and way beyond what I expect for brewery food. The mushroom pizza is my favorite -- perfect crust, a ton of cheese and ricotta, and I've seriously never seen so many mushrooms on a pizza before. It's perfect. The French dip is packed with meat and delicious. The smash burger came with not one but TWO burger patties. And the carrot tacos are amazing! We'll be back soon. read more

Ever Grain is a terrific place to try different mostly IPA-style beers. However, be sure and sample as the descriptions do not always match the taste. Many of the described APAs are actually hop-filled IPAs. Also, don't be swayed by the rude hostess if you would like a table to enjoy dinner. Once you get past her, the bartenders are very friendly and helpful in deciding on menu choices. I had a half portion of the brisket with cole slaw and vegetables as my sides. Though the portion was not a half pound as told by the bartender, it was still a sustaining portion, perfectly cooked. If you are looking for traditional cole slaw, choose a different side. The cole slaw is an odd combination of sweet and bitter and I couldn't get past one bite. My wife had fish and chips, which were light, flaky and delicious. The dish came with a generous portion of Arby's-style fries (a plus in my book). In summary, this review would be 4 stars due to very good brew pub food and selection along with the beer choice. However, I'm bumping down to 3 stars due to the rudeness of the front of house hostess/manager. read more

I have no clue how it took me so long to get here. As someone who loves to eat out and has a toddler- that can be a deadly combination.... until now! Great food, good beer, awesome environment and relaxing outdoor space make this my new favorite space. I love being able to sit and relax and enjoy a meal while my daughter makes friends with another kid while playing connect 4. I've now been here for brunch and dinner and both times were great. While it's always packed I've never had an issue with finding a seat. First time here and i loved the aesthetic of Ever Grain! It was raining, otherwise I would've been outside under the lights. The drinks are HUGE and at great prices. The bartender I interacted with was super helpful in making suggestions as to what I might like. Can't wait to go back, def a fun hangout spot. Parking is available as well as a lot of seating, however, it wasn't particularly crowded when I went. Looked for outdoor dining on the way north and found this popular brewery away from the touristy riverside downtown. Loved the beer flight we sampled. I had the [2] shrimp tacos, which satisfied me although it would have left my 6' 2" husband hungry. Chose the chips and salsa for my side, chips were perfectly fine (not stale) and the salsa was a savory mild roasted-style puree. He got the grilled cheese which was loaded with brisket, so that and his half plate of fries helped fill him up. Overall very enjoyable pit stop.
