Disappointed. When they originally came to visit we were impressed over another company that claimed they could fix our basement for half the cost. Instead we went with Everdry, my mistake. They said they would secure the beams that were not installed correctly when house was originally built. Bolts that were installed at an angle and the nuts on the bolts were not even tighten. We were not informed during our 1st visit they would be tearing out the bottom landing to our stairs when they would be working on our basement. They informed my spouse that they had to remove the landing and that they are not responsible to put it back, they were asked to be careful when removing the landing, so we could attempt to put it back ourselves. They took a sledgehammer to it and destroyed it. Now we have cider blocks holding up our stairs until we can find someone to rebuild our landing. They also broke our outdoor spigot on the front of our house and didn't bother to tell us. We have called and when the guy came out to complete the beam work, he said he didn't know anything about it. They did came back again to tighten the bolts and fixed the front spigot. read more

Everydry Waterproofing is the perfect example of bait and switch tactics. They offer and free basement inspection, when in reality that inspection becomes a $15,000 sales pitch. The "inspector" that came to my home claimed that my sump pump was broken, and that they would replace it with something top of the line. I had a friend come to my home the next day who has a small handyman service and he fixed it in 5 minutes. He said it just needed adjusted. Let's go back to our "inspection". We've never had any standing water and the water we were seeing was quite minor. The Everdry "inspector" of course quotes us the highest package that costs $15,000 without any financing. But hey it's a great deal because it comes with a lifetime warranty, right? Well as I foolishly begin signing the paperwork he quickly mentions, " Ugh, the lifetime warranty is actually $75 dollars a year, and if you sell the home the person buying would have to pay that or they don't receive the warranty." Ok, so I pause a moment and think is this a warranty or a service plan!!? A warranty should mean that they guarantee their work. Not that I will be paying Everdry for the rest of my life on top of the $15,000 I already paid. This company is the definition of bait and switch. The office staff is so rude and unprofessional! The office lady tried to tell me that our sump pump that failed was 500.00! When I told them we needed someone to come out because our basement flooded she said the first time someone could get out was a month away! My husband called back and miraculously someone came the next day! I asked the Everdry tech when he came out about the 500 dollar pump and he laughed and asked me who said that- I told him it was the office staff that answered the phone. We had the Everdry waterproofing system installed in our basement two years ago because we had standing water in our basement & the air just felt of moisture. Since having the system installed we no longer have standing water in our basement after rain & the air feels dry. We now feel safe in storing items in our basement. I am writing to thank Dale and his crew for the incredible work they did on finding and fixing the water problem in my basement. They dug down all around the outside of my house and discovered many of the downspouts and connectors to the main line out to the street were not functioning. They tied up all my bushes and were able to work around them and cleaned up so well, I could barely tell anything had happened! They also discovered that the drain holes around the basement footers were plugged and on several walls, the drain tiles were missing altogether. They educated me on what they were doing every step of the way and were more than polite and efficient - I enjoyed their company! I am divorced and my family has been in heaven many years. I have never been one to say I ever needed a man but knowing who to trust when big things happen still remains one of those things that I guard against by learning everything I can before starting a project. I've had periodic water issues in my new home's basement for the last several years, and it's only gotten worse. The home builder did not believe their foundation warranty was responsible for it, unfortunately, so I checked with several waterproofing companies in town. Most important to me was a guarantee that these issues would be resolved, and Everdry does provide a lifetime transferable warranty. It's a messy and labor-intensive job (inside and out), but the crew left the place cleaner than when they started, and they took great care to avoid tracking mud and debris into the rest of the home (which I greatly appreciated). They were all very professional and courteous. Overall, it appears to be a very solid system, and although it's still winter, I do not expect to see any perimeter issues in the Spring when the rain falls again. read more

Our home is approximately 50 years old and is good condition, but it was built before sump pump requirements and other moisture management methods were in the building code. We reached out to Everdry 7 years ago when we noticed mold issues in the basement. The home inspection and diagnosis was handled professionally, but confirmed our fears that we needed a significant amount of work. We went forward and the basement mold problems were resolved; we have not had the same problems with mold in 7 years. The sump pump has also worked well. The sales process was very similar to a used car purchase experience, with hard sell and scare tactics employed ("Think of your family!") and that left a bad taste in our mouths. Be prepared for it. I would also counsel people to thoroughly-check that everything has been restored to its former state when the job is done and it's time to sign-off on it. Our job required drain tile to the street in front of our home and this meant removal of a fence post, trenching down the yard and also under the city sidewalk. The fencepost issue was not fixed properly (a gap large enough for our large dogs to escape the yard was left) and the sidewalk was left in a very uneven condition after the concrete repair. We asked that Everdry repair the sidewalk. They did take a second stab at it at our request, but it remains in much worse condition than it was before the tile work. The fence was not repaired. So the "Service After The Sale" commitment was missing for us and I would warn anyone to take a thorough 'punch list approach' with this Company. D.B., Worthington, OH read more

Had our basement fixed last year and we have had to call 3 times (one was our fault because we bumped the equipment). Each time they have come out and saved us money on the repairs. We have a particularly difficult basement that has flooded many times before getting Everdry. After having several different companies come and explain their systems I opted for Everdry's as there system addressed issues both from the inside and the outside of the home. They came out and gave an great explanation of the work to be done,the salesman was pleasant and informative if not a bit overly aggressive which ultimately led to me second guessing and backing out the first time I looked into getting the system. The second time around I felt better prepared and sure of my decision and since I had already done the research I knew Everydry was the system I wanted to go with but it was still nice when the time came for the work to be done that the job foreman went over everything with me again. Our overall experience Is 3.5 out of 5. Everdry was able to complete the job prior to the original date. They arrived onsite on time. The Lead took time to review all the paperwork, explained what the team would do, what to expect and when the job would be completed. One part of the job included removing the concrete and install a drain pipe. The concrete was "busted up" to be removed, however they were unable to finish the task of installing the pipe. I called for a free inspection for significant issues in my foundation walls. Upon trying to schedule, the guy kept asking me "but will your husband be home?" I remained calm, and stated "Sir, you should only ask if I make all the financial decisions for my household, which I do." This went of several times. I told him my marital status was not a discussion point, and he said "well, will he be home or not?" I told him several times, I make all financial decisions. After the last time, I told him politely I won't be doing business with them. For the record, I have an engineering degree from OSU. I make plenty of money. I have cash in the bank, to pay for the work. My martial status is no of their business. It is sexist and disappointing. I can not believe I'm writing this in 2016. read more

We have had the worst experience with this company for the past year. We were sold an everdry solution for our leaking basement last Aug. We were in the mist of a high pressure sales situation by their sales rep from the first meeting and signed a contract to spend $15,000+ that would solve all our basement issues forever. This was not the case. Nothing the sale rep promised would be taken care of and covered is happening which is why I am choosing to write this review a year later. Another wall without brackets is moving so we called them back out. It was a waste of an hour. They will charge us another $1300 to fix. If you work with this company you will never stop spending money with them. Their warranty is junk an their sales rep we dealt with is a complete liar. Everdry overhauled my very wet basement about 4 years ago. It has not seen a drop of water since - they did a fantastic job. The only thing I would say is make sure they pull all of the correct permits - they did not, when working on my house, and an inspector showed up and shut down the job. My basement drain did not pass inspection, which was not related to the work Everdry was doing, so I now have to get my drain fixed at my own expense. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING EVERDRY!! I don't normally write reviews, but I simply cannot let this one go. Let me give some background first. I woke up Wednesday morning to get ready for work to find out that my sump-pumps had quit working overnight. This left me with about 6 to 8 inches of water in my basement. I was able to connect a 'backup' pump to try to clear the water while I was at work. I bought a new pump after work and got it connected later that night and it was able to clear the remaining water. Now that the main crisis has been temporarily resolved, I can focus on bringing in the professionals. Unfortunately Everdry is not one of them! While my wife was holding down the home front and running in about 15 different directions at once, I started making appointments for estimates to have 2 new sump pumps put in with battery backups. I made these appointments based on my schedule, since I knew that my wife would be busy with the kids, ect. I found that I was able to schedule an appointment with Everdry online, which I admit, was very convenient. Everything started out impressively. I easily scheduled an appointment Thursday morning online, and Travis called me Thursday afternoon to get further details and schedule an actual time. He was very helpful and polite, and I was impressed with his customer service. He even remembered who I was when I had to call back Thursday night to change the apt time. However, things quickly went south! On Saturday morning, I received a text from 'Brittany'. The text simply stated, "This is Brittany from Everdry. Please call me at ... to discuss your upcoming apt. Do not reply to this text". I thought this was an odd text, but I figured I would call when I got a moment. However, at that moment in time, I was in the process of trying to fix the water to my house! We came home from a play on Friday night to find the water pressure tank to our house (we have well water) burst, and for the second time in 3 days, had a basement full of water. However, this time, I had to shut the water off to the entire house since this was basically the water main! In the middle of this repair on saturday, I received a call from Brittany. Originally, she stated that she just wanted to confirm my apt for Monday afternoon. I confirmed and I thought that would be the end of it. However, she wanted to confirm that my wife would be present for the 'full basement inspection' that would take approximately 2 hrs. I told Brittany that probably not, since she will probably be running both kids to practices. I also told her that I did not need an entire basement inspection; I only needed an estimate for a sump-pump system. She replied 'understood', and proceeded to question me about when will I know if my wife would be present. She suggested me to call her, or how soon will I see her? I replied that I'm not sure when I'll get to talk with or see my wife, I don't need a basement inspection, and regardless of when the appointment starts, we all need to leave the house at 5:30 (my daughters awards ceremony). I also explained that an hour for a sump pump evaluation should be plenty of time and I don't understand why she was insisting on my wife being present. Brittany stated that they like to have both home owners present to answer all questions and again proceeded to question me as to when she would be present. Finally, after about 5 minutes of this type of questioning (and me getting totally frustrated with Brittany), I told her that my wife won't be present, I have a list of her questions, and that I will be home at the designated time. She said they cannot send someone unless both home owners are present. I then told Brittany to simply cancel the appointment. She chuckled and replied, 'ok'. All of this did not make any sense until I got to thinking about it. I read a separate complaint on the better business bureau website about Everdry. The complaint was about a family was selling their house but wanted to fix the basement first. They contracted with Everdry to perform some work, and Everdry placed a lien on their house. The complaint was that the lien was disguised in the paperwork they had signed, and they were not made aware of it (they found out about it when they went to close on the house). If it is common practice of Everdry to send salesmen to try to push expensive construction "solutions" and place liens on the houses, then it is understandable as to why they would need both home owners present. My husband and I used Everdry to waterproof a basement at a home we owned on the near eastside of Columbus (sold in 1999); then used Everdry again when we purchased another home in Berwick; and once again for a rental property on the northeast side of Columbus. If anyone has any water issues (sump pumps, basement leaks, foundation cracks, etc) don't waste your time with other companies...give Everdry a call and they will take care of everything. I couldn't have been happier with their service. Not only did they install the new pump in record time (the rental property), but the technician also made recommendations for the future. The work was clean, exceptionally done and I don't have to worry; knowing I have protection for my house AND my rental property. I purchased my home with Everdry already present in my basement. Homeowner warranty transfer was easy. Items were stored in a corner of the basement for a couple years against the exterior corner and mold began to grow. I used Everdry Waterproofing to fix my basement leaks and crawlspace. I was assured that the cost would fix the problems that I had and that they wouldn't stop until the water was gone out of my basement and crawl space. We had a lot of ground water that would come up in the crawl when it rained. The salesperson didn't know how the foreman would fix the crawl, but stated that it would be done. One thing that I didn't like is that they put me on a list where they said they would give us 48 notice before coming out. This was supposed to discount the price by being on this list. I was okay with this because I thought that they would come before the scheduled date to complete. That was not the case, I felt that this was just a bogus ploy to sign with them. I think that they should have just told us that they were coming out until the scheduled date because for months I was waiting for them to call. However, they did come out and there was confusion with the foreman about the crawlspace, but after he talked to the salesman they worked it out. They completed the work in four days. They laid piping throughout my basement and crawl as well as piping outside. There are no puddles in my basement or crawl anymore, but I will be watching to see if it is truly working when we get heavier rains. I do like that there is a warranty in place that is transferrable.
