    Nepali Samosa

Clean interior with a lovely ambiance. Calm music and beautiful wall depictions. Servers were very kind, attentive, and polite. We ordered the Nepali Samosa, chicken korma, and butter chicken. All were very delightful. Juicy pieces of chicken. Sauces were very rich and maybe a bit heavy for my liking due to all the heavy cream but I loved the flavor on the korma. Samosas were delectable and I loved the salty powder they sprinkle on top. Paid about 65$ in total.

First time at Everest curry but definitely won't be the last! I got the chicken tikka masala and it was a flavor explosion. It was creamy and tomatoey! My friend got the butter chicken and that was also so dang good. We got a side of garlic naan and that was to die for. The servers were also very attentive! I will be back to try more stuff on their menu!

I came here with a party of 3; we ordered the Everest sampler, chicken tikka masala, chicken saag, salmon tandoori, and garlic naan. Decent portions, I think the Everest sampler is really worth it given that it's only $13 but you get so much variety and decent amount of food (the sauces are so yummy too). My favorite dish (which I failed to capture a picture of) was the salmon tandoori - the dish is good on its own, but topped off with the sauces from the sampler, the combination of flavors elevates the dish. The only miss was the chicken tikka masala, in my opinion the curry is too sweet, but the chicken pieces were still tender. The chicken saag was ok. The hostess/server was very friendly, and when we asked to sub out the shrimp due to allergies, she was very accommodating and subbed it out with chicken at no extra charge! I do wish water refills were more frequent given that there was only one other group besides mine. I love the traditional Indian music playing in the background - really adds to the ambiance! Overall, this was a solid experience and would visit again during their buffet deal.

Paneer Tikka Masala to go (very tasty, don't forget to add rice)

Everest Curry on Broadway is a good spot for delicious AND vegetarian friendly curries! My favorites are the excellent vegetarian paneer tikka masala and the vegetarian coconut curry. I can attest that both take out and dine in are reliable options, though I'll say dining in is a relaxing experience with polite and attentive staff, and I would recommend it. There's a whole page of veggie options, but I did not ask which were vegan. I would hazard a guess that vegan mods are available, and the samosas are likely vegan. I recommend the veggie samosas too. They're filled with savory goodness. The veggie samosas and paneer (a soft, mild cubed cheese and solid substitute for meat in Indian dishes, highly recommend) tikka masala are my favorite items on the menu. I am not a huge fan of having to purchase rice separately for the curries. Make sure you don't forget, though for dine in they'll probably ask if you would like to order some. We have definitely forgotten to add it to our take out order and have had to make our own rice instead, oops. Prices are a little steep due to this, in my opinion. Naan is also an add on, and two people who are hungry might need to order two orders of it. Personally, I think their regular and garlic naan are good, but not great. Curries and samosas are where they shine. I am very pleased with the quality of service here, and there's never been a long wait for food. There is unmetered street parking only, and alas, I have no bathroom update to report (yet). I recommend stopping in for some Indian-Nepalese food at Everest Curry. It's hard to stay away even when it's warm outside! PS! There is a lunch buffet from 11:30-1:30 (ish, I may be off 15 minutes or so as I didn't take a pic of the sign on my last visit oops again bad yelper) but we've yet to try it.

Wow, I'm so apologetic to have to lower my score, but I have to update y'all. My husband and I picked up to-go from Everest tonight because we were craving Indian food. We were so disappointed. There was no flavor in the tikka masala or the chana saag. It's changed for the worse. We ordered through GrubHub and didn't notice it doesn't give you a spicy level option so our food was bland. We usually order through Everest's website and they provide a spicy level option. If you're going to try this spot, only order from their website; that was our mistake. What wasn't our mistake is the lack of flavor in nearly every dish. The rice, garlic basil naan, and chutneys had no flavor. The mint cilantro chutney was the worst; it wasn't anything like it used to be. It's now milky and watery. Yuck. Two stars for the appetizers being nice and crispy, and two stars for the pleasant pick up experience. That's all. I'd love to try Everest again, but only if they go back to how they were when they opened.

Veggie Samosas with tamarind chutney and mint dipping sauce. 10/10!!!

The service was great & the food was fresh and flavorful! This is my new go-to Indian dinner spot!!! We loved everything we ordered and will try opti ok ns next time! They are under new management and we will be back to try more! New owners are so gracious and provided great service!

When I called ahead and asked about the buffet, an employee responded immediately. Didn't keep me on hold. The lunch buffet is weekdays, from 11:00 am until 2:30 pm. It's $21.70. It's traditional Indian cuisine which includes Butter Chicken and Tandoori Chicken but also has unique dishes such as Goat Curry and papadum. The vegetarian Korma was good. It's green peas, green beans, red bell peppers and potatoes in a cream sauce. Masala chai tea is included with the buffet. Similar to the old Curry Club, they give you a choice of original or garlic naan. The hostess told me to sit anywhere I liked. This new restaurant is worth a repeat visit.

Best momo in Sacramento region. I came here with my family a little before noon, to order momos but after our arrival, we found out that there's buffet lunch. We still ordered a plate of momo and we did buffet. Delicious foods, soothing vibes and Courteous staff. We enjoyed our lunch here. I highly recommend this place for everyone to come and try it out.

Great food, service, and ambiance. The samosas were really good too. I would come back.

This place had been on my Sacramento to try list and I was not disappointed! First things first, the spices in the lamb curry can't be beat. The mix from the vegetable sampler order, the lamb curry plate, and a side of roti was more than enough for the two of us and it gave a great introduction into North Indian / Nepalese food. We didn't leave a grain of rice or drop of sauce on the plate. Their wine/beer menu is in the works but the potential pairings look excellent. Don't sell yourself short and give this place a try! This place is equally enjoyable to sit, eat, and dine in OR make an order to go and enjoy at home in cozies. Looking forward to my next visit, cheers.

By that, I actually mean juice as in non-alcoholic, not wine, which is technically also grape juice ;) They have this Navarro Pinot Grape Juice that we ordered to try out once, and now we are obsessed. Service can be a tad slow, whether it's busy or not, but the food is always very fresh and worth it. We came to Himalayan Sherpa Kitchen for dinner on a Saturday night. It was packed. Things were a bit slow, but not in a bad way, it seemed like there were only two people at front of house for a full restaurant. We were seated pretty quickly though. We shared the veggie momos (Nepali dumplings), tikka masala, and garlic basil naan. The flavors and spices were very delicious. My fiancé adored every last bite. I found some of the chicken in our tikka to be over cooked, but otherwise everything was great. I'd recommend this spot for a yummy dinner.

Their full menu is varied and robust. Dishes like clay oven specialties, several types of curries, (seafood, chicken, goat, lamb), momos, biryani, soup and even Himalayan fried noodles and kabobs. Express Lunch menu (menu notes which items are gluten free and vegan), includes lentil soup, salad, butter naan and choice of white or brown rice. We really appreciated the brown rice option. Chicken tika masala - tandoori roasted chicken simmered in a mild creamy sauce. Our sweet server (owner?) mentioned that about 95% of the people love this dish and I am definitely in that group. Wonderful flavors and generous amount of tender chicken. Tofu, kale & potato curry - ingredients all simmered with basil and coconut milk. Very flavorful and seemed healthy. My husband would definitely order again. Our server was friendly, caring and was always smiling. Two servers were handling the entire dining room plus the outdoor diners and they were seamless in their efforts. Our server had recommended the tika masala to me and she was curious what I thought of it. I would order it again tomorrow! The interior is decorated comfortably. Inside the restaurant there is a calming feeling as they were playing slow Hindu chanting music low on their sound system. The first server We began with was very young and maybe learning the menu still as he was really not that good at answering questions on the menu. As soon as we checked in on Yelp, suddenly service picked up. Another more experienced server brought us first, hand towels to wipe out hands (a nice touch, but the towels were almost cold when he brought them, was it an after thought?); and he also brought us complimentary cups of dal that were very tasty. The dishes we got were saag lamb, butter chicken, and organic channa masala, and garlic buttered Naan. Had our first server known how to describe menu better we may have chosen a few different items. He did recommend the butter chicken as one of his favorite so that's why we got it as we often enjoy it other places as well. It was very good, a classic with great sauce, probably the favorite dish. The saag lamb was good too, but we almost got the patak lamb, similar sounding dish but maybe creamier/ other veggie too? But our first server could not really describe difference well. I'm thinking we may have enjoyed the other dish better than saag lamb which was good, but felt the spinach was extremely over cooked, and so finely chopped almost like it was highly minced or powdered? But it was flavorful. The Channa Masala was on the dry side. We we're trying to decide on a saucy vegetable dish and we asked about this dish because we liked that it said organic. That same first server said it was saucy, but not that saucy. Each dish comes with your choice of white or brown rice, or steamed veggies. Two dishes we got brown rice with, and the third we got steamed veggies because we thought there would be more sauce overall to add them too. The rice was allot ( took quite a bit home); the veggies were this nice mix, but so boring with no taste, and what a waste. The veggies even had water floating in bottom of dish. It would be so much nicer if there were an option to have these lightly stirfried with a little flavor as an option ( they were completely bland) , and there was really not enough saucy stuff to add them to so only partially eaten, left remaining there on table instead of taking home with other stuff. We asked for a sample of their side sauces and we got a tiny (like a tablespoon each?) 3 dish sampling of their very tasty homemade mango sauce, tart and tangy cilantro mint sauce, and some sweeter tamarind sauce. But they were very tiny amounts. The Naan was light and crisp, very nice, but could barely taste garlic butter. We asked for our dishes to be medium heat and it was fairly mild for us still, but i guess with American palate, spicy can be relative. But oh well. We also had cups of chai (under $5.00) that had refills, and a glass of house white wine ( Murphy good Sauvignon Blanc was only $8.00 so that was a deal). I'm giving 4 stars for their efforts, but hope they read this so they can improve a few things.

Best part is all the food is delicious. We started with 2 bowls of mung bean w/ mixed vegetable soup. It was a true creamy soup, so I put my spoon down and drank it out of the bowl. Sorry manners? Then ordered 2 large plates of short grain brown rice, kidney beans w/ onion & garlic, baked yam, kabocha & butternut squash w/ garlic, collard greens and kale w/ shiitake mushroom sauce, and a mixed salad w/ basil lemon & agave dressing. Everything was very good. My favorites were the kidney beans, the yam combo, and the greens with the basil lemon dressing. We also got a Bahn Mi. Loved that it was really full. I don't like a skimpy Bahn Mi. For dessert, we took home slices of Coconut Pie, Chocolate Pie, Key Lime Pie, and the Himalaya Pie (layered with key lime, strawberries, coconut, and drizzled chocolate). My favorite was the Key Lime Pie -- tart and creamy. Then the Chocolate Pie, which was soft and indulgent. The Himalaya Pie was fun because every bite tasted a little different. The only one I didn't care for was the Coconut Pie because the texture was a bit hard from the coconut fat. One of the best things about this place is that they change things up based on what's seasonal. We travel with our dogs and called ahead to ask about outdoor seating. They don't officially have patio seating, but they kindly pulled a table outside for the two of us. They accommodate well-behaved dogs, and there was a great overhang for shade. We felt very comfortable sitting out there, so don't be shy about asking if you're traveling with your pooches. I briefly saw the inside and it was neat and well organized. I also saw someone bring their own container, which I loved. Definitely a spot we'll return to.

One was displaying beautiful sceanaries from the Himalayas and that captured my attention for the longest time. Soon our food came. We ordered the steamed Chicken Momos, the Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Naan and they all looked very good. We liked the curry, and the momos were fun to eat. It's a bit different but also very similiar to a Chinese bao. The Momo has much thiner skin and the filling tasted slightly different from a plain meat bao. To me, it feels kinda like a larger version of a soup dumpling without the pool of the broth inside. Needless to say, I found myself studying the momos while stuffing them into my mouth as they were quite delicious and easy to eat. Oveall, we were very glad we gave Everest Chilli Pepper a try as we enjoy the food and would like to try more Indo-Chinese dishes on our next visit.

I always go for the butter chicken, medium spicy, and it is so good. The flavor is rich, perfectly spiced, and just hits every time. I also get their garlic naan, which pairs perfectly with the sauce. I usually end up spending around 24 dollars when I add extra rice and garlic naan to the butter chicken, but honestly, it is so worth it. The portions are really generous. It is easily the size of two meals in one, so you can definitely save some for the next day. I have not tried any other Indian food spots in Davis, and to be honest, I do not really feel the need to because this place is just that good. Whether I get it to go or sit down with friends and family, the experience is always great. They are very quick with their service, and even when I order ahead, the food is still hot and ready to go when I pick it up. Overall, this is a spot I will keep going back to. Great food, great portions, and always consistent.

Normally get the Couple's Special dinner with meat. Includes a plate of appetizers and lamb curry and butter chicken, with rice and lentil soup, 1 order of naan, and 2 drinks. The lamb or butter chicken are both good, not spicy at all though. We normally also order a the naan bread basket, which has a variety (garlic, butter, cilantro, peas and onions) really delicious.
