Five Stars based on price for food. Was on my way to Boba and Yelp recommended this place. I am SUPER glad they did. $15.99 for a lunch buffet. $15.99!!!!! That came with naan. Not a huge selection, but all your staples. Saag paneer, butter chicken, Biryani, Tandoori Chicken, and those pancake balls. Very friendly service. $20 for tip and everything, which was super.

I'm a big fan of South Indian cuisine, which is difficult to find. I was happy to hear about Priya from an acquaintance of mine who sang is praises. I really had some hankering for a dosa, which Priya had a small variety of. I ordered the Mysore Masala Dosa. It was delicious and truly hit the spot. My girlfriend opted for the lunch buffet (much closer to traditional North Indian fare), which she enjoyed. I also ordered a salted lassi, which was quite tasty. It complemented the dosa well. Although the ambiance is pretty minimalist (there are just 7 tables squeezed into this tiny place, more like a hole-the-wall cafeteria), if you're looking for South Indian fare, in particular dosas, this is your place. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Sacramento.

This place, totally shits on India oven! Best Indian food I've had in Sacramento yet, and don't sleep on the 15 item lunch buffet! Very clean, attentive and friendly! 10/10 with this place being 10mins from my house best believe I'll be here any chance I get

I stumbled upon Priya Indian cuisine while I was in the Arden area, and decided to pick up some take away for the fam. The interior of the restaurant is small and extremely basic. It's one step above hole in the wall and definitely not necessarily an evening dining spot. I was greeted by an older gentleman who kept insisting that I had called in my order already, and I tried to explain that I had not placed an order yet and then I would like to see a menu. Eventually, a younger gentleman came out and said that he would be happy to help me with my to go order. After perusing the menu and asking a few questions, I placed my take away order for the four of us. Part of me was glad that I needed to sit and wait since the food is prepared per order, and that is always reassuring to know that someone's not just reheating something that was cooked earlier. When rang up my order, the prices were definitely higher than what were on the menu, and when I asked for clarification, he disappeared and never came back. I absolutely was miffed at being charged extra money for using my debit card without being told. The same charges applied to credit cards, etc. But there are no signs stating any of this. The food is definitely overpriced, and the quality and quantity is not there. Keep in mind that I ordered food that was supposed to be enough for four adults, and it was barely enough for two. The vegetable samosas which were recommended, or perfectly fried and definitely tasty. They have a nice spicy taste, but it's not overwhelming. That was pretty much the highlight of the meal. The garlic naan was absolutely disappointing. It's overpriced and they're just not enough. Again, I was ordering for four adults and ordered based on recommendations, but also what I was told. I ordered two of the garlic naan, which one I got home, was essentially half a piece for everyone. It tasted more like a tortilla than anything else. Very little garlic flavor. Very disappointing. The butter chicken sauce was tasty, but there was literally four chunks of chicken in the container which was fairly small anyway, and pretty much was a meal for one person. Maybe I should be glad that there such a small amount of chicken, because the chicken itself tasted like it had been boiled, and then dropped into the sauce. It lacked seasoning and flavor. There's no way that it was cooked with the butter sauce. The paneer was pretty much the same as the butter chicken. Mostly all sauce, and no cheese. The gentleman talked me into adding something that he described as a fried vegetable, and said it was absolutely a must try. It absolutely is a must don't do. It lacked flavor and was fairly underwhelming. There are definitely more reasonably priced and better tasting Indian cuisine restaurants in Sacramento. This just is not one of them. This place is overpriced, and definitely not worth it.

I'm a Bay Area native, living in this area since the beginning of the pandemic. We make the trip all the way from Roseville to enjoy these authentic Indian flavors since ethic offerings are extremely lacking in Placer County. The dining area is small, but I haven't had an issue getting a seat for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The service is friendly and welcoming, while the food is unlike anything else in the area. Parking is limited at first glance, but there's more in the back. I've been here twice in the last month, once to their Rancho Cordova location. This location's flavors and freshness are superior to Rancho's buffet offerings (which are more mild and still delish). I can handle a lot of heat, Medium is spot on but I'd like to try hot. Try the Butter Chicken, Saag Paneer, Parathas, Lamb Samosas, and Vegetable Curry.

So good!! I haven't had goat curry for so long and theirs is delicious! I got the lunch plate. It was a bit spicy hot, but I enjoyed it all immensely! I can't wait to go back and try the samosa chaat! The guys who helped me were both really kind and just attentive enough. It's nothing fancy. But o don't need fancy - I'm all about delicious!

I ordered food to go, to bring it back to my mother-in-law's and feed us all. Personally I got the non-vegetarian Thali Dinner... it was fantastic! I received more food that I could have imagined for $22, and among it all was a lamb samosa that I can only describe as my favorite new comfort food I never knew I longed for. I've never had one, not sure I would have ordered one had it not come with the dinner, and can't explain the favor other than to say iykyk. And I will go back here just for them alone. It tastes like being welcomed home. But also the curry was delicious. My kids got their own butter chicken and finished mine too. And to top it all off the kheer (rice pudding) was a perfect compliment to ensure I could eat no more. While my wife and I waited (we ordered there) we were offered water, and given little glasses of their mango lassi (a lovely and hospitable gesture that made us hope the food was good so we wanted to come back all the more). We've already talked about taking the family there next time, because it feels like a place that is glad you've come, and the food is hella good!

The Good: - The price is definitely on the more reasonable side. - The decor is very nice and clean. - The one waiter was very pleasant and attentive (I'm thinking maybe it is the owner). The Not-So-Great: - Most of the flavors of the food are off. The Aloo Matar was bland. The Chicken Korma was way heavy on the cardamom. The Palak Paneer was oddly sweet. The Dal Makhani was crunchy and undercooked. The Tandoori Chicken was dry and underseasoned. The chili cauliflower was too mushy and sweet. There was a strange item like an inverted grilled cheese sandwich with a tomato soup filling? Didn't quite know what to make of that. The rice, veggie spring rolls and naan were passable. - The music streaming from the TV was aggressive and distracting since the signal kept going out. It would go from loud and clamorous to dead silent frequently. There were barely any customers there which is never a good sign. I'm not feeling very positive about this place staying in business for very long. I'll just say that there's way better competition out there to make it unlikely I'll return. I hope they figure out a better formula.

The pakoras were good as well and it came with a green sauce that had a good kick to it, however the pakoras did seem a little overcooked, almost like they may have been left in too long.
